Brian Ferentz especially has been a tool at times both in press conferences and behind the scenes. Had they had a losing season last year, I think the Ferentz family would have been canned because of the race issues. Living in the state of Iowa and listening to Iowa local media and fans rip on Nebraska makes me dislike the Hawkeyes a lot.

It will come down to turnovers. 100 to 200 more yards passing doesn't mean much with 3 picks and redzone FG attempts.

Since they seem to just fair catch these days, it might be better to have Oliver Martin back there since he seems to be the master of that. The only way Nebraska gets 5 FGs is if there are 10 attempts.

I would say there is more apathy or acceptance of suckitude than crying.

Iowa by 7. I would have said Iowa by 3 if Martinez played, but would have been more hopeful for a win. Iowa's defense is too good for a 1st time starter to have huge success. I think they lead the nation in INTs. Iowa is great at special teams and Nebraska is horrible. Hopefully, CTB decides to arm tackle this game.

It was regardless probably. Obviously with just 1 game left and little experience for Smothers, Martinez was our best shot at winning and I hate losing to Iowa. I wish Smothers had gotten some significant playing time after the Purdue and Minnesota losses when the season was pretty much over. If nothing else, he would have been better for the Iowa game. As a Nebraska fan living in Iowa, it is painful to listen to the local fans and media brag. Good luck to Martinez in the future. I think he needs a new environment and Nebraska needs to add a transfer QB to the mix to take over or challenge Smothers.

I probably would have played Smothers weeks ago. Stupid to burn his redshirt now. Martinez or a 3rd stringer could have handed off twice.

Iowa lets other teams make their mistakes and capitalizes off of them. Unfortunately, Nebraska is freely giving. Assuming Martinez's shoulder is still hurt, that will probably lead to 2 to 3 picks.

I don't think Allen played in the final 3 plays and Toure was out in the final play. Should have been PI at the end, but we know we aren't going to get that call.

2nd INT is all Martinez. Really need a new QB next year.
