  1. Big Ten Preseason Poll: Can Ohio State get back on top after misstep last year?
  2. Got to beat NW. That will put butts in the seats for the ND & Georgia Southern games. Assuming we can get by both of them that would be 3 wins a row which would be a new milestone for the SF era giving us some much needed momentum and a great atmosphere going into the OU game. And one can always hope for an upset. Lose to NW and the season could once again be ugly more than likely starting off 2-2. The stadium will be like morgue for the ND & Georgia So. games.
  3. Coming off a 9-4 season, Aidan O’Connell being the #1 or #2 QB in the B1G and SF teams are 1-3 against them it's hard to pick NU.
  4. I'd put us 4th or 5th behind Wis, Iowa, Purdue and/or Minn. Not great but still an improvement over 2021 and a result I could live with.
  5. Moving on up: Athlete Malachi Coleman jumps into Top 100 in latest ranking updates https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Article/Nebraska-recruiting-Malachi-Coleman-moves-up-in-247Sports-recruiting-rankings--190227383/
  6. No matter how the season turns out this promises to be a very interesting year. Only 5 weeks & 6 days to kick-off.
  7. Listening to HuskerOnline podcast yesterday Callahan mentioned Manning was seen on crutches over the summer. Didn't really know what was up with that and probably won't until we are into camp. Maybe nothing but who knows.
  8. Herbie's Hangout - The roster weight article has arrived, which means fall camp is close
  9. Yeah, except for last year their class rankings have been pretty impressive especially considering the W-L loss record they have accumulated. And this class so far is even more impressive. Got to wonder if they can get things turned around and chalk up some 8+ win seasons how many more doors it will open on the recruiting trail.
  10. Listening to Sean Callahan's interview with incoming freshman DB Jalil Martin (what a great sounding kid) on the Husker Online Podcast. He ask him about going Dublin and Jalil was extremely excited to be able to make the trip. Said he has never been out of the country as I'm guessing the majority of the kids haven't and really looking forward to it. I know a lot of fans are butt hurt about them opening in Dublin but it is fantastic opportunity for the kids and I'm I glad they get to experience it. It will be a trip they will remember the rest of their lives.
  11. Oh, from a personal opinion standpoint I totally agree. But last year at this time I was 1000% certain that if the team went 3-9 and HCSF was 15-29 through his four years there was no way in hell he would get a 5th season. But I was 1000% wrong. So now I treat the question of what happens if we have a mediocre season or worse the same way I treat my season predictions. Look at the schedule, look at the team, come up with an anticipated result, then subtract 3 or 4 from the win column to come up with my final guess.
  12. In a way I agree. It's not like he has to get 8 or 9 wins to stay around. If he manages 6-6 I think it is automatic he'll be back. It will show improvement and enough to keep a large proportion of the fan base happy. Maybe even 5-7 with a signature win against a top 10 opponent will be enough. And looking at the schedule I think there is at least a chance he'll get to the elusive 6 win plateau this year.
  13. Maybe not light years but substantially better. 2011-2021 Mich 92-44 - 67.7% NU 71-64 - 52.6%
  14. I've been a Dish customer for over 4 years now and the Pac-12 Network has been included in America's Top 200 package since I signed up as well as B1G & SEC Networks.
  15. I bet Nouredin Nouili wishes there were no rules they enforce.
  16. From a strictly personal standpoint it wouldn't bother me a bit if they added CU, KSU, KU & ISU and made them our core games so we could play them every year. I know it makes now sense in this only thing that matters is money world we live in but I grew up with the Big 8 and having those derivable games every year against old foes would be fun.
  17. And if things don't work out for Frost this year I can think of a coach who was recently honored as Coach of the Year in the USFL plus has close ties with both the PAC 12 and DONU. Just sayin'.
  18. No. The NFL has rules and regulations in place to prevent the free-for-all/clusterf^ck that is currently college athletics. I know a lot of people hate the NFL but as it stands now it is under much better management than the college game.
  19. After losing 7 years straight I'd be happy with a 1 point win.
  20. So you think that NU is the only school to have a player suspended? It seems like the off the field stuff has been pretty few and far between for the most part under Frost. There were years under some previous staffs that it seemed like there was a new incident in the news every week or two.
