  1. No blackshirt for MJ Sherman either- find that interesting.
  2. Yes, state championship game is normally 3rd friday/saturday of October. So the season is pretty short and sweet. 8 regular season games then playoffs.
  3. Nobody cares because no recruitable kids come from Alaska. But practice starts Monday before August starts. Then the first week is jamboree time where local schools scrimmage each other. Then game day is second Friday/Saturday of August.
  4. Have a hard time believing he set a commitment date based off of a contingency.
  5. How many more WR’s can we can actually take/ need to take? Still in on Barney, Bair, Campbell, and Clark. With Hall, McMorris, and smith already committed. Are we that thin year to year? Just want to save room for some OL/DL/EDGE guys.
  6. Super Happy to get him, but boy did he sure take a tumble down the rankings from 18 months ago. He was pushing up close to the 5 star territory at that point.
  7. Father played on the 2003 National Champion LSU team- Ronnie Prude- signed as an undrafted free agent by the Ravens and managed to get some playing time his Rookie year. Kind of fell of after that.
  8. DePooter the long snapper is still pretty fitting
  9. 31 reps would put him in the upper quartile for strength at OL/DL for the NFL draft. Hope we can turn that strength into something, Hutmacher was a big strong kid too but we haven’t seen much from him.
  10. Did not Commit to Maryland- Oddly enough, chose UCF. So the twins made two different decision after being quoted two weeks ago that they were "100% a package deal"
  11. This is nothing against this kid at all, and I have no ability to designate the potential good CB from and okay one, and a poor one. But we have had some offers in the Frost years where people would immediately call it a reach. This seems like it would definitely fit the mold if say Frost was offering. Is the mindset different because its Rhule and he has a great history of developing under rated guys? Or is this really still a reach since we already have 27 commits, 11 transfers, and approximately 102 kids for 85 schollies? I guess I don't understand why we are going after even more guys, who at least upfront aren't spectacular. If you are already at a signing limit and you have a chance at a high caliber guy, then you figure it out later and take him, but you typically don't see that with 136 best CB
  12. Sorry I had intended to add “in the last 20 years”, just forgot.
  13. Kamaru Usman (UFC) is the most notable athlete in any regard to come from UNK. Couple of practice squad guys (Mason Brodine) is one that stands out as far as football is concerned.
  14. To provide some context, the words don't really matter. It just happens to be a screenshot of his story on IG. It rolls through a verse of a song and those are the lyrics to it. The picture of him a Nebraska uniform is the puzzling part. But the words are just the first 6 words from a song and it continues to roll through the entire verse.
  15. My question regarding Gilbert is, what does he need to succeed? Has he had personal issues or injuries? Was he overhyped as a recruit and needs a reset on ability and expectations? He left LSU, then went Georgia stepped away, came back and is now transferring to Nebraska. What hasn’t gone his way that has made all of this happen. Potential is through the roof, but something seems off with this kid. Hopefully he comes here and shines.
  16. I have to believe that money isn't going to matter as much to Dylan as it would to other players in his position. Daddy made plenty of it in the NFL and seems to have done fine keeping a decent amount of it. I'm sure Dylan wants to make his own money, but I don't know that a million from Nebraska is gunna matter that much over 500,000$ from Georgia.
  17. That an interesting list with Weber State and Montana State.
  18. Fong Bomb for N about 20 minutes ago
  19. I don't think anyone has re-invented the wheel defensively as far as base defenses go. The exotic blitzes, stunts, and maybe zone blitzes maybe new. I think a coach like Wager will need to up his expectations from high school to college, and coach to those expectations. I would say the biggest difference Wager would see is that he can't breeze past part of the technique or execution of a drill because he knows his TE is the best in the region or state, he will have to continually push for consistency and development of a player to the highest level. Past that, every D-1 player is a high caliber athlete, players and coaches can not take plays off and expect a positive outcome. (Maybe a few can- but then that changes at the NFL just the same as HS to college).
  20. Or do one of the freshman incoming make a push for a spot in flux- I know it’s a tall task. Do any of the new guys have a chance to contribute early? maybe Gottula?
  21. Rouse at LT Nouli at LG scott at C corcoran at RG healthy Teddy at RT? Or if he isn’t 100% Corcoran at RT and some combo of lutovsky and piper at RG?
  22. Looks like he ran a video recorded 4.36 (not sure how valid it is) I'm sure he is fast just not sure how accurate the timing was. He sent the video to a bunch of coaches on twitter including Nebraska (Omar Hales). I'm not sure if this is what it took for him to get a look. Based on those stats you would think he would have garnered more attention from any level. Only has offers from Valparaiso and Army edit: looks like he ran a 4.36 at a Texas High School Showcase Allstar Game/camp. 915Showcase
  23. Grambling state website says he had 61 attempts for 589 yards and 7TDs for a 9.7 average which sounds like video game numbers. But it’s odd that he was so successful, played 11 games and couldn’t get more carries.
