  1. Nebraska still ahead? I had to go to the bathroom.
  2. Well... yeah. Yeah. But it's a positive thread. Would Cy settle for DC? Please?
  3. Complete game evades us again: Nebraska 28 Merry Land 32 Ground game 212 Throwing it 245
  4. I do not like that person. I want to draw wicked things on his face and forehead. I want to throw darts at my computer screen now. I will refrain from doing either of those things and pray for him being hired by the Seattle Mist.
  5. My mistake! Oops, etc.. I honestly thought this was a post-Wisconsin game thread.. time for some coffee.. covfefe.. or.. perhaps a donut.
  6. Not grasping the spirit of this thread, especially the first post about how good we did in that game defensively. Huh? .. Wisconsin racked up 482 yards on Nebraska at home. They had 25 first downs. We don't need to answer that with our yardage on offense.. this is about our D still giving up huge yardage numbers every game and this time at home (again). I don't believe in the DC; not one bit. I believe in about three or four of our defensive players each game. Have our standards gotten lower? We're feeling good about "looking pretty good today" in a loss with 482 yards given away and 25 first downs? EDIT: I posted this before finding out this thread is not about the Wisconsin game.. didn't even look at the date.
  7. I've heard varying numbers guessed on how many tickets are acquired by a few boosters to keep the streak going, who give them away or have them sold on StubHub, etc. Made me wonder about Moos's remark a short while back that hiring Scott Frost "preserved the sell-out streak for sure." My guess is that a lot more are being divied out by those rich guys now than before. I don't believe in the sellout as organic, as I used to many many years ago.
  8. That all makes sense, and I dare say I like seeing that as part of this whole discussion about the extension. Makes the whole hire seem even more "organic," for want of a better word. Now, if he can just live up to it. etc...
  9. I don't know about that.. it is a thought, of course. But Moos made his "get us six wins" remarks at the beginning of the season, then walked it back as the losses piled up. His new spiel became about how much time this is going to take rebuilding the program; which indeed is what he said about the timing of this contract extension. He said he was going to do it anyway, but doing it now would be a statement as to confidence in Frost, etc. I also get the impression that he's basically doubling down on this as a statement to his bosses, who approved the extension (how reluctantly, or after how much lobbying by Moos, we don't know).
  10. Lots of reasons offered for this contract extension being tendered to Scott Frost. They all sound plausible. Whatever the reason(s) in the mind of Moos, it's an expensive endeavor. Expensive coach even if he didn't get the extension. I didn't want to see this until he uncorked a season of at the least six wins. But, what do I know; I'm just a (grieving) fan.
  11. Thanks, Chinander. Lovely tackling by your guys. I'm in awe.
  12. Huh? Uh... er, ................. that is............... Okay. Huskers draw first blood.
  13. Yeah, but now you've got me to thinking....
  14. Wisconsin 30 Nebraska 24 109 rushing 219 passing
  15. More like having a laugh at cheekygeek's post.
  16. Typing this the Friday prior to the Wisconsin game. To be edited later.
  17. The blackshirts meant something much more back in Dr. Tom's day. But we were criticizing them then, too.
