  1. I really think you couldn’t be more wrong with your last couple sentences. Frost doesn’t want the shine he just wants to win man. In my opinion his ego has nothing to do with it. I think the issues lies within the fact that he’s often put to much of load on himself because he’s lost conviction and when that happens it’s easiest to fall back on yourself. I struggle with this issue personally in my business every day. Not trusting others with tasks and trying to do it all on my own. I am also wise enough to recognize that this is a sign of a being a poor leader/coach. A great leader will instill his knowledge to his team members and trust them to do what he wants done. I could go on but I truly just think he’s so battered it’s hard for him to be the coach he wants to be right now but he’s working on it. It’s clear that Frost doesn’t have the same conviction he had his first year here when he was coming off his undefeated season. I hope for his sake (and ours) that he can regain his footing and regains confidence in himself, which will empower him to be a greater leader. But blaming his ego is completely inaccurate and saying he “wants the shine” couldn’t be more untrue.
  2. I was pretty adamant that Rahmir would not be our starting running back he just hasn’t proven to be a dynamic runner. However I really thought we’d see him as our primary 3rd down back. Also really surprised we haven’t seen him run out of any special packages but I’m sure they’re saving some wrinkles for Oklahoma.
  3. Not sure how you can single them out on bad line play. Teddy got beat seemingly every other play.
  4. I know Gifford is undersized but he seems to be a better player overall.
  5. What’s Ty Robinson doing? He’s just running around with his head down
  6. In his defense any offense is going to move the ball some. But our offense should be able to score at will against North Dakota
  7. I think Frost is thinking about where he can become an offensive assistant at next.
  8. I thought we could have two enjoyable games before we go back to reality but nope, cannot even do that.
  9. We haven’t had a running back that could create for a few years. I am more impressed with him the more I watch him.

  11. By all accounts it sounds like he's been very impressive. A perfect game to throw him into the fire.
  12. Again, not remotely saying this would ever happen… But really it would be a no lose situation for Urban. He either flips the program around and not only cements himself as one of the best coaches of all time and we probably pay him as much as Saban to keep coaching. Or it’s a flop and he could walk away with some $40-50 million dollar buyout.
  13. Not saying Alberts hasn’t started working on a short list in case things go off the rails. Hell he probably already did that last year for both major men’s sports. But very doubtful we’re in “talks” with anyone after the first game.
  14. Just to be clear I wasn’t saying that’s where he got injured, I think some people misunderstood that. I was only pointing out the way he avoided the five and clinching his hand looked awkward to me like he was avoiding it but he may do that all the time just for a simple reason like not wanting to slap sweaty hands.
  15. I’m not defending the call, just saying maybe it wasn’t as bad of a call as we all thought statistically. But since B1G coaches love to throw shade at Frost Im sure one of them will be analyzing our kickoff returns and if our guys turn their backs early one of them will pounce at the chance to try it against us. If successful it would be the ultimate way to throw shade at Frost and humiliate him. Somebody will try it if we give them an opening I guarantee it.
  16. Here is also a link to a Harvard Research Articke where it states that from 2001-2010 Surprise onside kicks were successful 60% of the time. https://harvardsportsanalysis.org/2014/10/evaluating-the-surprise-onside-kick/ “Assuming that surprise onside kicks are as effective as they were between 2001 and 2010 as they are now, the stunt is successful 60% of the time.”
  17. I know what you’re saying. But for the record I’m not saying this is how he got hurt rather it shows that something may have been bothering him as this looks kind of awkward.
  18. Mavric already posted this another thread but the success rate is actually 60% when a team with a lead kicks an onside. (Basically when it’s a surprise). In all honesty it just wasn’t a great kick. He didn’t get any air and kicked it right to the northwestern player. Was is still a questionable call yes. But Frost has seen us lose enough of these close games he tried to take control right then and there. I don’t hate it I just hate that it didn’t work for us.
  19. The good news is if NW had one strength it was their O-line, probably one of the best we will face this year and a pretty darn good RB behind them. I still think Chins got out coached last week but think we’ll bounce back and be ok. He’ll definitely have to make some adjustments or Minnesota and Wisconsin will absolutely abuse us.
  20. This has been a glaring issue with our offense for years and why they statistically put up a lot of yards but rank low in scoring. They’re always having to go the full length of the field to score and that leaves more opportunities for turnovers or other things to stall drives. It’s obviously been an issue for multiple years so you can’t blame it on one player but it is the reason I wasn’t a fan of Rahmir being the #1 back, he couldn’t break plays open. Hopefully this play isn’t an anomaly.
