  1. It would seem that the large pay cut they made him take did in fact matter after all. Who would of thought.
  2. I hope Ervin makes a comeback but you never know how a guy will return from a major knee injury. This seems like a great pickup.
  3. I don't watch a lot of film and so taking my evaluation with a grain of salt, but he looks pretty damn good to me.
  4. Our receiver room suddenly seems to be the deepest on the team.
  5. They've been underperforming thus far this year, hopefully the can step it up when it matters. That being said, there is a thread for it under Other Husker Sports.
  6. At the end of the day they know that they are probably going to reduce capacity and adding more premium seating accomplishes this without losing revenue. Premium seating will likely be good options for businesses that don’t want to shell out money for a skybox. Hopefully they can add some comfort for the common fan as well. I do think eventually more of this will turn it into an NFL atmosphere as the days of packed 90k stadiums slowly dwindle away.
  7. I’ve also been thinking of taking a trip to Hawaii and not returning tbh.
  8. Highly unlikely unless he didn’t hire an agent and doesn’t get drafted.
  9. That or Chinander takes OLB is most likely.
  10. But the coaches feel good about him!!
  11. You think they feel really good about a true freshman coming off a major knee injury? They feel better about him than the guy who started our last game and would have won if not for another major special teams blunder? Im skeptical.
  12. Yes he is being paid by LSU up until or through January (I can't remember which). So there basically riding it out until that is up and then he'll be named a full-time assistant.
  13. I really like this move and it all kind of makes sense now why we didn't hear anything earlier. Busch should do work on the recruiting trail. You'd think if Brown was going to be the RB coach that would have been announced so that probably means they are going a different direction. I really feel that this will be Scott's best staff since he's been here, hopefully it's not too late.
  14. I bet coach Fish had more to do with landing Jaeden Gould than Dawson. Ty Robinson was a really good get but a lot of that had to do with him already having strong Nebraska ties. I just thought I had read previously somewhere that Dawson left for the NFL because he wasn't crazy about recruiting but I could be wrong. But either way this list is pretty underwhelming if you're trying to prove to me that he is a really good recruiter....
  15. I think Dawson is probably on par with Tuioti coaching wise. I just don't think Dawson is a great recruiter. It seemed like Tuioti would have us in the top 2-3 for lots of really good targets but couldn't ever get any of them to come here, I bet that was frustrating for him. He's kind of been a job hopper thus far in his career I think Oregon is probably an ideal spot for him though.
  16. I'm pretty sure he's got all the money he needs from LSU.
  17. I guess he could always come back but being that Long Beach State is his alma mater you'd assume that's his dream job if he can get it rolling.
  18. I'm sure with QB you obviously want to have a guy for spring ball. But in general there were be a lot more guys that enter the portal after spring ball so it's not like you have to fill all your spots right now.
  19. I wonder if Kelly Hunter will get a full time spot.
  20. That would be too bad. I kind of assumed he was pretty much the head coach in waiting but Cook may have plans to keep coaching for a while.
  21. Also I’m not sure if you’re referring to Batenhorst as the one struggling but she was having to take a lot of really tough swings. She wasn’t getting a lot of good looks to help her out.
  22. I will say I don’t know much about volleyball either. Sun very well may have provided a spark last night but I think Cook knew that too have a chance to be a championship team he needed somebody to take a step above what Lexi could provide. Cook rolled with Krause and Batenhorst early in the year to try and take this team to the next level and it paid off. Wisconsin has been a better team for a couple years but you could say we were just as good as them last night, we just made a few more errors. Really a brilliant job of coaching by Cook if you ask me.
