Well as a loyal fan for 36 years I feel that my loyalty should buy me some relief when I go to the games. I feel that the fan goer who does not have a contract that guarantees them 1.1B a year would benefit greatly by reduced ticket prices and concessions and make the whole experience better. I am not worried about UNL's bank account so much as I am mine. I would love to be a season ticket holder and support the team and university as much as possible but I do not want to break the bank doing it. A drop of 10-20 dollars on ticket prices would not effect the university in a negitive way as much as it would effect the fan in a positive way. Why does it all need to be about the university ?

I guess that's cool? But I don't understand how it helps out the average fan are they going to reduce concessions and ticket prices? is the TV subscription that I buy going to be cheaper? is any of this at all going to affect me or just a few people at the top?

Honestly we need better coaching around Fred. I just don't think the defense that Doc brings is going to work in the B1G. We also need to be able to recruit better. We need bigger guys

Frost did not recruit over AM, he did not bring in a QB that could really challenge his starting QB and push him to be better or take the back seat. Hopefully that stubbornness changes moving forward, with Whipple here I think it has.

In the B1G you need 7 footers that can rebound. To me second chance points are just priceless. I just don't understand the disconnect between the coaches we have hired and the way you play in the B1G. In BBall you need 2 bigs and a shooter. In football you need a big Oline and 2 RBs. You MUST hammer down the fundamentals in this league, then you can get cute. But without the basics you will be stuck in neutral or reverse and we have see that. Shooters go cold and Olines get man handeled. The keys to success and winning in the B1G is not sexy but it works and that is where we need to focus our recruiting on the fundamentals of the game. This is so frustrating to watch, I still like Fred but he needs a overhaul like what Frost had, I would try to pirate a old head B1G coach with strong recruiting ties to Chicago and Pennsylvania area to land a big time 7 foot center. Fred needs a coaching staff makeover and another year zero.

Stupid. Idk when we started listened to the weak and worrying so much about hurting feelings. I guess you can say that it is pretty racist to assume the a white guy giving the "ok" symbol Is racist because he is a white guy giving the ok symbol. I do wonder if Herbie was black and doing the same thing if people would have a problem with it. Also I see a lot of youngins in pictures making hand gestures with their fingers, some if them are black kids am I to assume that that is a gang sign or a black power symbol? Nothing against AM but I think the game was just too much for him at times. When AM had a lead like what he did in the NW game he is calm and he can really get hot but AM also needs a 2td bumper in order to really get in gear and then its like he could do no wrong. But you ask him to once again be perfect and have a game winning drive and the pressure I think was just to much and clouded his thought process and vision. I don't see that happening with Casey, I think that with his background he is much more used to having to perform against better talent at a younger age so his floor is hirer that AMs ceiling.

I like it also, I do think that they will complement the rotation very well and have little to no drop off depending on how well they pick up the play book. We also snagged that ohia state db last year that was a 5 star. So at least on paper it is looking good.

Yeah I actually like the hire of Applewhite. If he can develop players that can be a real added bonus just as much as landing the 5 stars. Looks like most of his recruits are from Louisiana which I do not mind getting a pipeline into the bayou. My concern for now the 22 year in a row is the offensive line. We need a oline like Wisconsin and Minnesota, I don't know how Rioala is going to be at recruiting and development but if we can get that improved Nebraska is going to be a big time football school again.
