  1. He's been shaky. Body language and speech indicating some disorientation. He's definitely feeling the heat.
  2. Scott, if you're listening we're needing more creativity...Like pulling a rabbit out of your behind.
  3. I'm excited for seeing Gabe Ervin back on the field!
  4. Meyer is probably the “source” of these rumors or someone associated with him to stir up interest in his behalf. Personally, I’m opposed to the idea of his coming here. It was said that Alberts had legitimate options last year and to Osborne’s urging ultimately decided to give Scott another opportunity to right the ship. I can see the appeal in Urban Meyer but for me that which doesn’t outweighs positives.
  5. Sure! I don’t think that we’re broken. We’re badly beaten up and needing pattern interrupts. We’ve become good at losing.
  6. How rational are we humans though! That's largely an emotional shift. I would add this, in general us online folks are less optimistic and often more critical (Including me). Very few of the people I've spoken with in person that had us winning int the 7-10 range have changed their predictions to 2-3. Casual observers typically are a bit more optimistic. The optimism has took a hit for sure though across the board. A majority are thinking around five wins. That's the camp I'm in at present. A few 6-7 and a few 3-4. A minority think eight or more. Say I worked for you. There's an issue I'm critical about. It's sort of rough to digest. Yet, in my mind loyalty is being upfront with you. To provide you accurate information to the very best of my knowledge in a professional, respectful way. That's my SOP. Another person makes things more palatable. Doesn't disclose things for fear of disappointing. Avoids addressing things and conflict. Keeps on offering candy coated turds. Which is demonstrating to you loyalty? Your point is well taken. It legitimately has it's merits. Support the team! With that though comes accountability. Coaches want this out of their players. Accountability for themselves and each other. Shouldn't the fans hold the head coach, players and anyone else integral to the success of their team accountable too? That doesn't exclude fans. We can empathize and support each other in that regard as well. People I think are mostly exhausted. Supporting their team has taken it's toll on us in a variety of ways over the years. We've expended a lot of emotional capital. We just haven't had many reasons to celebrate or feel good about something dear to us. We gain confidence and enthusiasm only to be punished again and again on a continuum for it. Let down what sometimes feels like might be infinite. Doubt creeps in. Everything becomes questioned. Conviction takes a hit. In a way, coaching changes or the prospect of them occurring almost become more promising than the games...And can we really blame the faithful? It's like purchasing a lottery ticket. There's hope. We can dream. The prospect of being winners again. At least there's that. We are tired of being in limbo absent a real sense of going in the right direction and at least making progress. Everyone deals with it all differently.
  7. There isn't anything lady luck can have go our way! Baffling. Lol Just about everyone suffered a case of cognitive dissonance after that. Might as well have put ribbons and a bow on the ball...
  8. One would think! Just bad timing to attempt one IMO. Doing a fake onside try to disrupt their position would’ve been an option perhaps…
  9. 7 to 8 previous. 4-5 present. Voted 5
  10. People laugh. He’s a great motivator and makes a whole lot of sense with what he has to offer. He’s doing an awesome job there where he’s at and I enjoy listening to him.
  11. Responses over the week with a few that I’ve interacted with… A couple were what I would describe as dejected. Another similarly was indifferent, “did they play a game”? Pretty much everyone disagreed with the onside kick attempt. Some quite dismayed. A few staunch Scott Frost supporters were questioning their support. This seemed to improve somewhat days following. From I’ve been a Frost supporter to being perplexed to somewhat hopeful again. More I like Frost, but it might be time to move on. More momentum for going a different direction. Others remained adamant that a change was overdue. Terminate him already! While others had reservations yet had a “wait and see” perspective. Frost might get fired, hopefully not. Not overly confident though. Most were disappointed in the performance of the defense, surprised and were generally less optimistic with that aspect of the team moving forward. A few other comments included the amount of compensation coaches receive. Quite a bit of speculation on possible replacements.
  12. That’s what you tell the team right… Can’t establish a reliable rushing game. Unable to effectively limit the running or passing of the opponent. Some pretty awful tackling at times. Can’t seem to generate returns. Months to prepare for the occasion. It’s all good. Don’t get us wrong. We’re pulling for our team. It’s just that there are legitimate concerns and things haven’t been good for a very long time. We aren’t sit’n chilly my friend.
  13. Just for the hell of it a couple years back I took a couple trips around a roundabout with a semi blowing the air horn. What the hell might as well have some fun! Deputy friend advised me not to do that.
  14. Now we’re talk’n. That looks delicious!
  15. Concerned… After these next two bad could be turning to worse pretty fast. We’d better improve quick! We weren’t able to generate a reliable running game. And, the defense wasn’t effective with stopping much of anything consistently. Bad combination. Nor were we able to pressure the QB or get much of any decent returns for favorable field position. Sounds like a recipe for needing to score lots of points. I’m not sure how capable we’ll be at that if we can’t get to having sustained drives involving a decent amount of running to go along with our passing. Time of possession deficits could further compromise an already compromised defense. As far as this week’s game, we should win although it might be a bit closer than is believed. GBR!
  16. Along with Oklahoma, Purdue and others. I’m not sure which game film he was watching…Must’ve grabbed ahold of the wrong one to review! I’m concerned.
  17. Thanks a lot. Now I have an image of Mr. Clean (my emphasis) in my head coaching on the sidelines! Imagine the pressers...Clean this up, clean that up. We shined in some areas while others we were pretty grungy. Something just didn't smell right. And such. Sort of corny, I know...Attribute it to the age factor!
  18. It's a high risk, high return situation in my opinion. If his decision works, it's a brilliant move. The way our defense was playing could give him pause to consider it. One has to weigh all the potential consequences of it being unsuccessful including, how it could negatively influence not only the outcome of the game. There's lots to consider. And, it's convenient to criticize. I'm not sure what favorable "looks" Northwestern was giving that would indicate it working. It might be useful to go back and review each of the kicks. On that particular play, Northwestern's players were seemingly doing what they should've been doing at the precise moment ready. It wasn't a great kick, either as you say. In hindsight, perhaps a fake onside kick attempt sometime during the game would've helped our cause. The defense wasn't playing well and couldn't catch a break.
