  1. I can deal with those commercials simply for the visuals.
  2. Like months ya think? The selection of the team is basically done, no idea about what it will look like though.
  3. People were yelling in my section in the NE corner (section 40, row 38). But yeah, 90% of the people had gloves on and were covered in blankets. It gets cold just sitting there when it's 30 degrees outside. But regardless of temperature, they were all amped up when we took the field. Everyone deflated after the first couple of posessions when we got stuffed by KANSAS. I got up and yelled when the D was in, just because. And everyone was standing in our section. I have to admit though, this was a horribly boring game, and the offense looked woeful. Add in cold temps, and yeah, it kind of sucked. I know this is taboo for everyone, but if alcohol was sold IN the stadium, that place would be a madhouse.
  4. Kansas is such a bi-polar football team, I still can't predict what will happen. CU is about as awful as anyone can be right now. Texas A&M will be tough, but I think our D matches up well with them. Either way, it all depends on our QB situation. If Martinez is healthy, we have a great shot at going 3-0. Who knows what will happen if we make it to the CCG. I really don't want us to face OSU again.
  5. Nebraska loses this one... By 10. And I have been saying this all year, not just "post Texas"
  6. That is my sentiment. Nothing like turning on the TV almost EVERY day and watching college football for several weeks straight. I may not watch it if it's Akron vs. UCF or something, but still. It's great to have all of these teams play a final game against a non-conference opponent.
  7. It would have been ONE of the biggest. Depends whose eyes are looking at it. Probably greatest upset in Husker history. Yeah, I remember Michigan/Appalachian State a couple of years ago... MU ranked #5. I'm GLAD that did not happen to us. Though I was as scared on Saturday as I was back in 2005 vs. Maine.
  8. Ohio State I think we'd match up nicely against, but I'm not so sure about Alabama. They are simply a great team right now. I'm actually worried about OSU in-conference mostly. I don't think anyone in the north poses a threat of any significance. I don't buy the A&M hype, and I'm also not completely sold on Texas. Texas is good, but they are not Alabama, Ohio State or even Boise State good.
  9. If we DON'T get a 10th win vs. ARIZONA, that would be a blow IMO. 10-4 > 9-5 by FAR... Especially considering how close this team is to having 1-Loss and in the BCS picture this year.
  10. I think we all agree to that. Bump that up to maybe 7 or 9% and we are 8-1 right now.
  11. I'd just like an offense that can score on more than 3% of it's posessions.
  12. Nothing this season tells me that we CAN beat OU, except for our defense. But even then, the defense plays good, but cannot get those "pick sixes" when we need them, or fumbles, etc. Even if those do happen, the offense has show nothing this entire season that is worth a crap on anyone except for FAU. Even the 55-0 rout of ULALA was deceiving. I don't remember seeing ONE sustained drive that ate several minutes off of the clock. On Saturday, to stand a chance, the defense will need to be lights out perfect the entire game, and the offense MUST go to the big play... It's our only real chance that I've seen.
  13. Have we ever been shut out at Memorial Stadium? Iowa State came pretty close to doing it... Or I should say, our offense came pretty close to shutting us out.
  14. Not sure if it's just Lee being indecisive, or if the coaches are telling him "not to run". Because I am confident that Green is a very capable backup if Lee gets injured. But I would love to see Lee just tuck it and run when the defense is expecting throw. Because ALL of the defenses expect us to throw when Lee drops back. Lee IS fast, he just never uses that ability. If the coaches are telling him not to run for fear of injury, they need to throw that kind of thinking out the window, because we need to do everything we can to win. We can't "fear" getting injured. That's just part of the game.
  15. The stats are what kills me. It's a game that we had in our grasp, but due to penalties, drops & poor decisions, we lost. We've held three BCS teams to UNDER 300 yards on offense. We SHOULD be winning all of those games. But we repeatedly shoot ourselves in the foot. The defense this year is amazing, considering what the past few years have looked like. It just plain sucks to hold TT to 259 yards, yet lose by 3 touchdowns.
  16. I'm going to be honest and say that Pelini's attitude towards things like this is exactly how I act when my own life situations throw sh#t at me. I can be a great guy, if things are moving along, and I feel like things are making progress. But once the wheels start getting wobbly, it bugs the hell out of me. So anybody that asks me why my wheels are wobbling usually isn't treated with the warmest reply. Even though I am passionate about everything I do, and I do care for everyone I know, sometimes they can be the people I take out my frustrations on. Because they are the ones I am around, and that is just where my frustration ends up sometimes. When Pelini has a bad day coaching (like Saturday), and he has the whole freaking city media on him, critiquing him and questioning him, yeah, I can see why he gets bitter. He loves what he does, and he hates when it's not going his way. When you start shoving it in his face constantly is when those frustrations come open. Now, for the screaming and hollering DURING games, well, it's football. It's emotional. How angry, sad, excited or nuts do we get at home, on our couch, in front of a tv with our beer and chips? We're not even taking part IN the game, and we get that worked up. How do you think Pelini feels actually being the director in all of this?
  17. the dropped balls and penalties are killing me.
  18. If by sweet, you mean awful, then
  19. Defense won this game for us. Plain and simple. In my opinion, they looked like Blackshirts last night.
  20. I suppose anything will taste better than a loss.
  21. Quality, not quantity. Anything that looks like your piss, pretty much tastes like your piss.
