  1. This is absolutely what Rhule wants -- the team simply can't execute. Why? Lack of coaching.
  2. If we want a shot at competing with the big boys, we gotta get a big-time coach. Fisher is an incredible talent and Texas A&M really screwed up in firing him at this point in the season.
  3. Honestly, I wouldn't expect any other response from 95% of our fan-base. Ya'll said the same about Callahan, Riley, and Frost -- but this ship ain't turning around with Rhule at the helm, that much I would bet big money on.
  4. We'd have a better chance at getting to a bowl game though - any bowl game.
  5. Pelini would have had a MUCH bigger job if it wasn't for the way his buyout with Nebraska was structured.
  6. He'll be a .500 coach here. And maybe that's good enough now - hell, I don't know. Our seasons of 10+ wins and competing for natty's aren't coming back though if he stays.
  7. He's not what we all had hoped he would be, and we all know it. Hell, even Rhule has to know it by now. It is what it is.
  8. He needs to get better coaching and recruiting skills, beginning right after this season. Absent that, this is going to be a long 4-6 years. We won't score on Iowa. Not one point.
  9. If you don't have Peacock, that means you don't watch Yellowstone. If you don't watch Yellowstone, then I'm afraid we can never be friends.

Yes, we need a coaching staff who can either recruit blue-chip QB's, or take average QB's and coach them up. We're seeing none of this, this season.
  11. Artificial turf looks better - they should keep that.
  12. The mid-60's through the 90's was great --- 90% of everything from 2000-on, sucks.
  13. This recent interview was really an eye-opener for me. It's too early to tell of course, but in Deion I think we're watching a future hall of fame coach in his first year. The man is as solid as they come -- Colorado got very lucky. Also, words of wisdom in the video for Huskers fans: "A multitude of kids choose the coach, especially if it's a prominent coach who has had success in his career" as it relates to recruiting top talent. Truer words have never been spoken. A program's history means far more to its fanbase than it does to players and recruits.
  14. You made a critical error of omission in your "Strike #1" -- Solich, who was an EXCELLENT Assistant Coach for Nebraska, stayed all those years BECAUSE he was promised the HC job by Osborne. Had Osborne not made that promise, Solich would have left for a HC job somewhere else long before Osborne retired. Clearly, Osborne recognized the value Solich offered his program, so he did what he had to do to keep that talent in Lincoln.
  15. Was that the curse of nothing worse than 9 wins in a season?
  16. Has started one game and the man is getting PAID. Nice.
  17. If Sims is healthy, he will start. No question about it.
  18. Dislocated shoulders and hips are usually due to lack of flexibility.
