  1. Looked to me like our offensed sucked buttermilk... period. If we had a coach that could coach QBs and teach a "learnable" offense, we wouldn't be talking about this at all......
  2. That is soooo wrong! but funny LOL
  3. This is very interresting. His Coach, out here in Oregon, said he really likes Nebraska, the facilities and the coaching staff. That doesn't mean he will commit, but it does look good.
  4. This may be a moot point. There is an outside shot, we play USC in a bowl game. So.......
  5. Nobody seems to be talking about it, but I have a sneaky suspition that Bolotti (or whatever) from Oregon may end up there. ND wanted him on two different ocasions.... Who knows, could happen.
  6. Couldn't agree more. I am interested to see what martin, williams, and whaley can do. I think martin has the the potential to be the next Maualuga. They are both very good football players. I do have to agree though, they have had a really tough time this season. It almost looks like they are thinking too much and too worried about screwing up. They just aren't letting go and playing ball. Even the tackling is poor, I hope they find their stride and it all slows down for them, like I said they are very good football players, they just look too wound up.
  7. Hell yea brother! Fully Agreed! And it wasn't a helmet to helmet, his shoulder hit wimp boy in the chest...... football not golf!
  8. I strongly disagree..... You don't run that play becuase Lee is not going to get the yards and score 98% of the time. NOBODY worried about Lee running. He is not a threat in anyway, infact looks scared most of the time. The pitch was high, and should have been caught, and looked like he was playing hot potato. I don't see why we would run an option play with Lee period... If you are going to do that, give us the best running option we have and that is not Lee. As far as it not being executed..... thats a callaclown comment and precisely why we keep calling plays that we need to "execute" not plays that compliment our players abilities. That crap is the root of NU's probs for the last several years. You don't take a 6 ft. center in BBall and tell him to dunk it then say well..... he should have executed it... Crap!
  9. Bottom line is.. his dad works there, he doesn't need a scholli. Doesn't mattter if he is good or not, this is stupid. Then again, if we sh#t can his dad, then he would need a scholli..... just a little poss thinking.
  10. Be the only man that gets rich from getting fired??? or, if I looked like him, I'd shave my A** and learn to walk backwards.
  11. I would really hate to se Watson go but this offense is awful. I could deal with struggels on the offensive side of the ball if it showed progress, however this offense has moved backwards week after week the O seems worse than it was the week before at this rate by the CU game we will be gaining negitve yardage and I may need to seek help to help me deal with the dissapointment this season has produced some type of change needs to happen NOW. They have lost their confidence, Zac is not going back and planting his feet and throwing off his rhytym. He should probably start out under center and try to get his passing in sync. But it may be time to install Cody. But if he fails what do we do then? We ride him and calls plays that cater to his ablilities, for a start. Zack is completely lost and too worried about screwing up.. apparently the only plays we can call are not plays Zack is good at or at this point are there any he can use to get back on track... or was he ever on-track? Doesn't really matter at this point, That dog don't hunt.
  12. It will be a sad day if Osborne intervenes before he is asked. We don't need an Al Davis in Lincoln. We have group of Vanilla players running an offense that requires more talent than we have. What good are "fast" receivers if they can't catch the ball? To hell with the 4 wide stuff, bring in 2 TE's a fullback and run the ball till better talent comes along. EXACTLY!!!! I mean, sh#t, if we can run the ball (meaning we would have to hold on to it and not fumble every 4th carry ) and chew up clock and possibly score 2 touchdowns and a couple field goals, our DEFENSE has the skill and talent to win the f'ing game for us. What is it with Watson not understanding that if something is NOT WORKING, you don't keep beating your head against the wall, hoping it suddenly will. I believe that's the definition of insanity... Lee cannot run the ball in any way, shape or form... Watts would need to admit a QB change is needed and I don't see any sign of that at this point. P.S. And that is not insanity, that is an unbelievable Callaclown attitude left over... I'm starting to wonder if we need to go through another round of treatment for that desease.
  13. Well, ive been ranting like a MF today. All I can say is... TO is a coach and is seeing what is going on alot clearer than any of us.. I have faith in him. How's that for pumping sunshine up ur arse...
  14. Wait hasn't that all ready happened? It's too bad the offense is in this shape, Suh could win the heisman if the O could do anything.
  15. I personall found it beyound stupid to have Lee running the option EVER. He runs scared and no defense will respect or even flinch at that. There is no real threat in him running and that simply isn't an audible... play calling..... However, I don't think firing an offensive coridnator in mid season is a good idea either, but doing somehting to turn the ship is a must. Maybe he just has too much control.
  16. It has EVERYTHING to do with coaches. Turning the ball over eight times is pathetic. What kind of weak ass mindset do these offensive coaches instill in the players? Well, last week we saw Niles Paul give up on a play that was so obviously a lateral as well as three or four other Husker players around the ball. We saw players drop catch after catch after catch, and I saw a pussyfoot QB who doesn't want to take a hit or make a decision. Sorry, but that's coaching. Receivers should be taught to catch the ball, QBs should be taught to make decisions and throw accurate balls, and offensive linemen should be taught to blow defenders up. If the players that are in are not currently doing their job, THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN OUT. I don't know how that doesn't get across the thick heads of our offensive coaches, but I hope they are gone after this season. I am tired of this dink and dunk West Coast bullsh#t. Give me Alabama's offense or Florida's offense. Line up, hit somebody, and gain yards. The players shouldn't need to be a rocket scientist just to figure out what the hell they are supposed to do on a play. It's ridiculous. Wow, and I thought I was ranting and raving..... problem is... I can't disagree with any of that.
  17. And just so you know I'm not attacking you here, but if the ball hits you in the hands you are supposed to catch it. Hell, I had coaches in middle school telling me that so these kids should know this. No excuse for it. Agreed but Meno didn't drop a ball that hit him square in the hands that he dropped. Of the balls he dropped they were either to high or behind him. If you are blaming him then you have to blame Lee for not placing it at his chest. I just can't rap my mind around this being EVERY recievers issue and only theirs. Call it confidence, call it whatever... when you have the arm Zach has, you can actualy wait too long to throw the ball. You can get it there before the defense gets to the reciever, but you've hung him out to dry. The defense is salivating over this and the recievers are put in a dangerous situation that can be avoided and should be. Thowing balls high and behind a receiver across the middle is a safties, lineback or corners dream. Thowing the ball late and having these guys reacting before it gets there isn't a bad deal for the defense either. A good QB will hit the reciever in stride and in a spot (in-game on the field) that give them a fighting chance to catch it and run, just like the plays are designed. Call it whatever you want, but it is deffinately broken.

  19. If we are truely going to run the ball, like the coaches have said, we actually have a QB with size and speed that wants to, loves to and would be like a kid in a candy store to have the oportunity to do just that. You can't cram a square peg in a round hole...
  20. I fully agree, infact I'll go even further... in the game he threw the TD, he was the only one to throw a ball in the endzone that even had a chance to be caught. The confidence is gone, I don't think the team has that winning feeling about them at this point. That is a huge problem to have!
  21. The media sees as much practice as you and I do. Sipple isn't a fan as much as he is guy who is hired to write articles for people to read. He is as much a fan as is Shatel. The only difference is Shatel is really good at his job where Sipple isn't. Well, whatever they see in practice, I pray to GOD, isn't what we see in games.
  22. Nothing to do with coaching...????? Really? If a team looks that bad, out of sync and completely ineffective and you have the talent we have; what does it have to do with? It is a coaches job to take the kids and form a team that can and does play together. The days of saying we don't have the athletes are over. It certainly wouldn't be right to blame everyone that plays offence..... we had that done a few years ago.
  23. I've supported the Big Red no matter what, since I was old enough to know what football is. Now, after these last couple games, I think personel changes need to go further than a few players. Our O line is full of top notch athletes that can't play together as a unit. I have never seen an offense flurish or even get better with at least one of our current coaches. I just couldn't agree with the comment, durring the game no less, "at least we are blowing holes in there line..... (and I'm not talking about the defense) Also, did anyone else feel that, Callahan left over, aragance of doing what you want no matter what?? You can't take any player that looks lost and quite possibly scared and make the decision to have him run the ball. Especially if he hasn't shown the ability to run, AT ALL, since he has been a Husker. To me, that just seems like the "we coached great in every aspect, they just didn't execute" attitude. That crap belongs elsewhere. (we have a few players that can and would love to be physical.... not used at all). You cannot continue to say a player is perfect and we are sticking with him no matter what, it's the rest of the team (recievers, running backs, line....... on and on) not him, he is the only one playing normally. The deffinition of normal is the majority of the observed people. In any case, if the offense is completely falling apart, some changes need to take place. It looks to me like a confidence issue across the board at this point. The writing is on the wall, I just hope the Mid-West Chicago type, F-the world attitude doesn't show up big time. If there isn't some changes made and the obvious is sweeped under the rug, we are in for a Callaclown-long year! After the I-state game and hearing the rediculous statement of "we never considered any changes on the filed"... Ive lost some respect and confidence. Sorry, Had to get it out!!
