  1. I am surprised to see a respectful missouri fan. We feel your pain. We experienced the same thing not too long ago. And don't count your boys out. 1st conference game in a long season.
  2. "So Damon Evans would rather be the AD at a state he lived in for like 3 years as a small child than at this alma mater where he started on the football team for 2 years and earned a BBA and an MEd? Good logic..." What does that have to do with anything? The job wasn't anyones but Osborne's from day 1. Pearlman contacted him, boosters wanted him, fans wanted him. Sorry but a former player for 2 years over a legendary coach for what 25...no contest.
  3. You guys are really setting yourselves up. No game is guaranteed. How should I celebrate?
  4. Wow I'm inspired. I decked my dorm room out every year in undergrad so there was this red glow coming out into the streets. Even in 02! Hell I showed even more support then. Our Huskers need us!
  5. 19 minute!!!! LOL! How many 4th down conversions did they get? Man you'd have to lose yards on a sacks and then get a five yard defensive holding calls for an automatic first down.
  6. The problem with the teams post Osborne was the inability to put their foot down on their opponents throat and close the deal. I strongly believe this team will get another opportunity to that tonight. After the Tech game, I see them more likely to do it. Bo has changed the mentality of this team. And it's true, he's much more confident and laid back. That's a great sign.
  7. I guess I always figured bandwagon fans were the type that switched teams depending on success. I know plenty of husker-borne fans that aren't as stoked about NU football like we are but I never considered them bandwagon fans.
  8. The big play from their recievers is my only real concern. VaTech had several dropped balls where their recievers had a step on our defender.
  9. This should be a wild one! I wouldn't want it any other way.
  10. I can't wait. Somebody spear tackle me!!!!
  11. Bo strives for perfection. So some wins are good enough and others aren't. Yeah he won't complain openly about the win but he'll address it with the players. Come on you know Pinkel does the same thing. Otherwise you would never improve.
  12. Oh man if they delay the game due to lighting they'll be playing till friday morning. How many games in history have spanned two days?
  13. I can't stand watching the game with oposing fans. Plain and simple. You feel bad enjoying your team winning or they taunt you and make fun of you losing. I guess my standard of football company is pretty high and few people fit the bill so I watch on my own.
  14. Yeah the game sells itself. They really are reaching for material. It's two top 25 (presently) teams playing the only nationally televised game of the evening. And Vince, you ARE one of those types that will argue to the end. You're on here TRYING to ridicule others and that's probably because you get no real satisfaction out of anything else in your life. Go ahead and insult me and make some childish remark about my parents and whatnot, it's what you live for. As for the game. It should be a good one. Hopefully they don't have some segment on Gabbert's decision. It's been beat to death. I also saw a comment about the past "few" years missouri dominating Nebraska and unless you're counting on Tomorrow's contest to go your way, you are mistaken. 06 Nebraska won so that is a couple of years. No need to exaggerate. Missouri fans seem to think there's this massive talent gap...there isn't and wasn't. If that were the case, the talent gap between Nebraska and Oklahoma would be astronomical since OU clearly has had superior talent than Missouri. Nebraska came into that 07 game with no confidence after being destroyed by a USC team that WAS much better. Missouri got up quick and Nebraska folded. Last year Bo was still trying to repair the psyche of the team. Players admitted that the end of the Vatech game showed them they COULD play with better teams. Missouri was ranked higher than VaTech and I could see why the kids would feel concerned. The week after at TT they started to play like a team that could win big games. Bottom line is this year's Nebraska team has come a long way and I don't believe there is a talent gap. It will come down to coaching Thursday. Coaching during the game and leading up to it.
  15. What happened to Dan Hawkins?
  16. Yeah the article showed me that missouri's sports writers as just as poor as their fans. Pretty much mocking good sportsmanship as though Nebraska fans have nothing better to do than put on an act. We care dearly about our football team and I personally will never make fun of others because I don't appreciate the flak either.
  17. Yeah and how often do we talk about that?
  18. The comment about the verdict on Bo still being out...Nebraska fans know football. We like what we see. I felt Bill was a bad hire. Watched the Southern miss game that first season, watched Joe Dailey run out of bounds instead of lowering his head to try to win the football game on our final 4th down and knew that we were screwed. Bo has us focused on one game at a time and he was confident going into Vatech and most of us didn't share his optimism. Our team was up to the challenge. The good team found a way to win; however, and we took a another step in the right direction. I believe the loss to tech has us more focused than ever. Missouri's passing attack with their playmaking recievers and strong armed qb will be a nice test. I'm finally beginning to share Bo's optimism. Win or lose Thursday, we'll see our team play better than any callahan coached game.
  19. I thought they had stories of people that had H1N1 and recovered rapidly. And to the poster whose wife has H1N1...stay away from the computer! I don't want to get it through the internet!!!!
  20. So I'm not just some wuss that can't take a hit from a sledgehammer...
  21. If we want to be accurate here it is not the president that gives bailouts. He simply signs off on it. Can't do it alone. So the only consistency here is a democrat controlled house and senate over the last two bailouts. Hmmmm
