B-. Fundamentally they were pretty good in a lot of areas, namely at the plate and in the field (exception: shortstop, 18 errors is too dang many, plus however many Kelly/Farmer had in their stints). Logan Ehlers (12-1, 1.17 ERA at Howard College this year) would have been nice to have around. Tyler Niederklein's hip problems holding him back (if I'm to believe Greg Sharpe) along with Tom Lemke's shoulder, huge blow to the pitching staff. Pitchers were the clear weakness, but there's not much you can do about things like blood clots, so they get a pass this year, too many experienced guys with legitimate health issues and too many inexperienced guys being forced to step up. But a lot of credit goes to Kyle Kubat and Ryan Hander for stabilizing the weekends at the end of the regular season, finally. At least we know there will be one or two guys who should be reliable starters next year. Didn't have that at the start of this season.
