I don't give a single f****** s*** where he's from, Haarberg has no business playing QB at Nebraska beyond this year unless he does some SERIOUS work in the offseason, which I ain't holding my breath. BUT SIMS COULDN'T EVEN RUN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND THEN FUMBLED TO GIVE PURDUE 2 SECONDS OF A GLIMMER OF HOPE, HE IS WORSE. Because the way MSU's defense was playing, we had guys running wide open all over the field. The running game struggled more than some people probably care to admit/remember because of the loaded box. If Haarberg were even a mediocre QB today instead of a FREAKING ABORTION, Nebraska probably wins by 10+.

Nope. Sims remains the worst. ONE scoring drive against a Colorado defense that sucks massive dongers, which Haarberg immediately matched when Sims finally, mercifully, tweaked his ankle. Can't even call for the snap correctly with a man in motion, he's BAD. FORGET ABOUT HIM. I'd much rather see Purdy if they HAVE to go to a backup at this point, but that isn't saying anything.

So you just didn't watch the first two games? He's just like Haarberg but without the ability to at least luck out and lead a scoring drive now and then.

What I learned from years leading up to this game: don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Thought they'd get beat after an inexcusably stupid, idiotic start to the game, but they corrected course and won. That's ok, better than never overcoming those bafflingly stupid mistakes and losing to a garbage Northwestern team because, in case anyone forgot, NEBRASKA DID THAT LAST YEAR.

There was also some knee-jerking going on in Madison, as Wisconsin started the year 2-3 and got beat pretty badly by Ohio State and Illinois (the latter having the added bonus of being coached by Bielema).

To repeat myself: Childress is already paying off on the recruiting front, dang.

Given the moves the Huskers have made with transfers and HS commits, the addition of both Childress and Sirianni as on-field assistants is looking good.

OK, didn't take long, now time to ransack that transfer portal again.

The way Bolt worked his a$$ off in the transfer portal last year, it doesn't seem likely he'll just name Childress and be done with it. No stone unturned, and if Rob is the best choice, so be it, but a little outside perspective might not be the worst thing either, as long as they also bring experience and a track record.

No regional for a second year in a row. Only other time that's happened since joining the Big 10 was Erstad's first two years cleaning up the mess left by Anderson. Not a great look.

They had one RISP all night, in the second inning, with 2 outs. Wow.

Bolt owes the athletic department $40K for not sweeping that poverty team :p Doesn't look good to win the Big 10 tournament given the mental mistakes this team loves making over and over again, but at least a run to a weekend game would be nice.

Purdue gave up 51 runs total in their last series, they suck. Let's not forget Nebraska should have added motivation after the horsecrap rain delay Purdue called last year on a day where it didn't start raining at all until at least 4 hours after their game with Maryland was scheduled to begin. But after losing 14-7 and 18-7 in the first two games, and a third loss coupled with a Nebraska win over Michigan State would have been curtains for their season, so they had to get out of playing the game somehow and avoid dropping out of the conference tournament. F***ing cowards. F*** Purdue. Anything less than a sweep of these pants-pissing babies, Will Bolt should give back a small chunk of his salary for this season.

I know some were never on the Christy bandwagon to begin with, I wanted to give him a shot to prove himself but he's not doing much to silence the day-one critics and it's getting harder to watch/listen. There are a few guys doing just fine and Walsh was obviously one tonight, but everyone else, hold your breath because who the hell knows what they're gonna look like game by game so far. If they had confidence in anyone else, Walsh doesn't get left in as long as he was. That should not be the case this far into the Bolt Era. Good god.
