  1. I think it's more instructive to see what happens when an entire team switches rather than one person. The SEC is probably a little tougher, but Arkansas has very little talent. They are located in between Texas, A&M, LSU, and OU. It's hard to recruit there. Petrino did a LOT with what little talent he had. Bielema had a big talent deficiency from Wisconsin to Arky.
  2. Dish Network has apparently agreed to carry it.
  3. It will happen. And it's glorious. sips thought they were going to throw money at Chad Morris from Clemson. Strong is not starting well....and I love it.
  4. Now, if he's winning 9-10 games year and at least taking 2 out of 3 from Baylor, OSU, and OU, it won't matter. What doesn't help is: 1. Shawn Watson is his OC 2. All 3 DT Recruits decommitted yesterday.
  5. Sooo..... Did he park the car? If he thinks that couldn't happen in the southern Texas then he is going to be surprised. He is smarter than that. I'm sure that isn't why he left. I'm pretty sure Sumlin brought a Brinks Truck to the interview. That's probably why he left.
  6. He followed his position coach there. Wants to be the face of the program. I'm sure that'll work out well. Hell get lots of publicity by being on TV every wee...nevermind.
  7. Strong does not have the ability or desire to rub elbows with the media and boosters. That could be his downfall at Texas.
  8. What type of booster wouldn't recognize the secondary coach? That type of interaction would be just as likely to occur at nearly any college in the country. I don't want to stereotype here, but my assumption is that boosters (i.e., people who can afford to give a lot of money to a football program) probably aren't the most the most diverse group of people. Between Nebraska and TAMU, if you picked the school that has historically had diversity issues, it wouldn't be Nebraska. Historically, you may be correct. That being said, A&M is rapidly changing, and the fact that we no longer have a white head coach helps change that image.
  9. @BoPelini: @FauxPelini ok enough is enough... I want my cat back. You've had her long enough! 😂😂😂
  10. For what it's worth, fellas, I have 2 things to say: 1. Aggies are pretty excited about this hire. 2. On a personal note, I kinda hate that it was Nebraska that we snaked him from.
  11. Surprising. Not who I expected to hire. Heard lots of good things about him.
  12. I'm not going to compare JFF and Tommie, but I will say Tommie didn't have the 108th ranked D in the country to have to overcome.
  13. Although, Georgia's problem wasn't injuries, it was the fact that their hands were all made of stone on big plays.
  14. Recruiting and coaching changes have a big part to do with uour success. And why 1998? That's such an arbitrary number. I could say the Big 12 was dominant from 95-97. It was only recently, probably after the SEC won their 2nd or 3rd BCS Title that the "dominance" talk started.
  15. I'm sure you do. Tough beans that A&M rallied. One day, I will understand the whining from other conferences. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Win. Beat the SEC on a consistent basis and the view will fade. But until them, I'm sure your constant bitching about it will have to do.
  16. We already have Laquivinte Gonzalez. With Speedy, we can roll in the.... SPEEDY GONZALEZ Thank you, I'll be here all night.
  17. We have a lot of talent on D in the next 2 years coming in. They just need time to mature. Next year we will be better on D. In 2 years, we should be good. If you trust the star system, we have tons of 4 stars coming in.
  18. Sup, fellas? And with Manziel gone, we have a couple of GREAT backups in the system, and out d recruiting is picking way up. Half our front 7 was true fish this year on depth. It's coming. We will be fine.
  19. I get that, but even their revenue numbers don't match up.
