  1. Who voted for Baylor? ISU could get ugly this year
  2. I picked CU, KSU, and Tech. The Tech one is just a guess.
  3. If Tito loses, then I say next spring we have Chuck vs. Tito, the loser retires FOREVER!!
  4. GSG

    QB

This. He's had off-field issues from high school to JUCO to Oregon. I wouldn't risk it and I don't think our staff/administration would either.
  5. schuhbdoo - Are you going to post his response to your email?
  6. I have the Droid Eris, which I like, but I should have waited about a month and got the Incredible since it's much faster than mine. I can't speak about the Droid X though. Let us know what you get!
  7. Have you been watching Bellator? I always forget when it's on and then when I do remember, they show baseball instead. The ones have I have seen this year have been pretty entertaining though.
  8. You need to get the Spam with the cheese in it. Eat it right out of the can. Little BBQ sauce. Perfect
  9. Speaking of pron... I watched Zack and Miri Make a Prono the other night. Is this study trying to tell me that I shouldn't expect a girl to want to go into the pron business with me?
  10. Which statue? Not this one: That's the one. It was definately vs Kansas State '95 that was the inspiration. The opposing player was KSU RB Mike Lawrence. I'd made a little video of the play for a friend but I guess this thread is reason enough to just put it up on YouTube. Interestingly they didn't even give it a replay on the ABC broadcast! Video I threw in a low quality scan i had of a photograph that had appeared in the LJS at the time. maybe the same photograph referenced on Huskers.com? FWIW, this is the Sports Illustrated that was out after the CU game in 1994. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/edb/reader.html?magID=SI&issueDate=19941107&mode=reader_vault (GREAT site BTW, play around with old SI's) Ooooh, maybe the 1996 game vs CU? I was at that game- even in the middle of July it makes me cold just thinking about it! IIRC it was a day game as opposed to night but either way the sun was no where to be found. Holy crap!! You da man!!
  11. Who will be the playmakers this year? Niles Paul, Rex Burkhead, Mike McNeil, Roy Helu Jr, Dejon Gomes, Eric Hagg, Jared Crick, Prince Amukamara Who needs to be playmakers this year? The starting QB, Baker Steinkuhler, and whoever plays at the linebacker spot(s)
  12. Linky I'm not sure Rampage has much of a chance in this one. Thoughts?
  13. Looks like he is going to fight Martin Kampmann most likely at 121. I would definitely think if he wins that fight he will get a shot at the winner of GSP/Koscheck for the title. It would be more fun to see him go up against another top welterweight like Alves, Fitch or Thiago before he gets a shot IMO. That could happen since Shields and Kampmann are going to fight in October and Fitch and Alves are fighting next month. GSP and Kos aren't fighting until December so the winner of Shields and Kampmann could fight the winner of Fitch and Alves in January and then the winner of that fight could fight the winner of GSP and Kos a few months later. That's probably what should happen, but the only problem is GSP is only going to fight once a year, maybe twice if you're lucky. There's no way he turns around to fight again that quickly. After the December bout with Kos, he probably won't fight until next August at the earliest. I don't believe he will have any problem with fighting again that quickly. The only reason he had such a long layoff between his fight at UFC 100 with Alves and the one at 111 with Dan Hardy was he hurt himself and wasn't healthy. You're right. I forgot about GSP's groin injury. I still get the feeling that he's going into Emilianenko-mode where he's trying to prolong his career as much as possible with only 1 or 2 fights a year. It's a smart move for him, but it sort of sucks for the fans who'd like to see him more often.
  14. Huskers.com says the statue is based off a photo that a guy Richard Voges took from 95 game against KSU. I'd be interested in seeing the original photo if anyone knows where to find it.

  16. Jackyl was playing in my liitle town here. $25 I think. I could hear them from my house, though and they were doing covers of songs that were actually popular at some point. The Lumberjack is the only song I've ever heard of lol
  17. So... nobody wants to go see Jackyl tonight?
  18. I was going to say, "Why don't you just buy the replica one online?" Then I realized that the replica one isn't really close to what the real one looks like. Here's a YouTube video of the horsehoe:
  19. I didn't know Fear Factor was still doing tryouts
  20. Where? T_O_B Here in my little Nebraska Panhandle town. Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, and Miller Lite. Pretty good deal. During happy hour the regular buckets of bottles are only $10. Definitely covers my membership to the Sons of the American Legion. Plus, there's never any riff-raff in the bar lol
  21. That's a quote from over there. Some people seem to be seriously underestimating our D
  22. You guys are missing the point. We shouldn't focus on winning. Everyone is a winner in their own way. Everyone should get a participation ribbon/medal/trophy. We shouldn't even keep score in any athletic events anymore. My keyboard almost lit on fire typing all of that crap. Sadly, this is what our world is coming to. No one wants to compete anymore. They want everyone to feel like they accomplished something even if they didn't do a damn thing. It makes me sick, and it's turning the kids into a bunch of pansies.
