  1. I could see us not pulling in as many kids as usual, but we'd still make the attempt and come away with a handful or more. I did a quick search and found that 43 kids from Texas play in the Big 10. Penn St. - 3 Ohio St. - 2 Michigan - 4 Mich. St. - 0 Minnesota - 7 Indiana - 2 Purdue - 12 Northwestern - 7 Illini - 0 Iowa - 1 Wisconsin - 5 We could probably match what Purdue pulls in from Texas. Aren't the majority of those kids going to be thought of as the "leftovers?"
  2. She must be watching our board pretty closely. She posted a link to this thread the day after you posted your link to her "thread"
  3. Who else was our QB supposed to throw to? None of those other guys were getting open once conference play started, not to mention that our swiss cheese o-line didn't give him much time to make reads and go through his progressions. And don't forget ALL THE DROPPED BALLS that hit guys right in the hands or were close enough that most junior high kids would make a catch.

The whole cheesy nature of it. Chicks dig that kind of silly, cheesy stuff. Older folks want cutesy little fun videos without all the testosterone-driven guitar stuff that guys typically like. Plus there's no guy-centric "Eric Martin-esque destruction of the opponent" stuff that we typically go for, it's all cute cheerleaders and squeaky-clean students being all genial and happy-go-lucky. For what it is, this video is OK. It's not my taste, but then I'm more into the "Eric Martin-esque destruction of the opponent" stuff. I see what you're saying now. FWIW, my mom hated it.

I agree it doesn't appeal to males 18-35, but what makes it appealing to older fans and young females? I know I fit into the 18-35 male category, but the whole thing is cheesy and includes a lame, unoriginal cheer. Also, I thought the sign in their locker room read: "Play like Nebraska today."

  7. Lol. You're not the guy in the UFL forums pushing for that name are you? I didn't really care for Zombies at first. Probably because I was so set on Outlaws, but I've warmed up to Zombies now too. As long as it's not Stags or Mustangs, I think I can live with it.
  8. GL, man. How long ago did you finish your first go around? How were your results? This is the most dedicated I've been to working out since high school. We got through the first month, my wife lost a good 25lbs, with me you could see more definition and gained about 5lbs of muscle, but we slacked off. So, we're just gonna restart from the beginning That bolded part is one of my favorite things about P90X. I can see striations in my shoulders when I'm working hard. The nice thing with free weights is you can get your arms/shoulders huge. I feel that the chest only gets definition. I have a 40 pound backpack I wear during my pushups and I'm looking into getting a 100 lb. adjustable weight vest to see if that helps with increasing chest size.
  9. TRIPLE POST FTW!!! Their Twitter account claims the name will be announced "soon." Big O's is pretty funny though
  10. It's FRIDAY! That means it's time for...
  11. Just FYI guys, the naming contest is over.
  12. That sounds awful. What would you even call something like that?
  13. No, no, no. You got it all wrong! It was just a MISUNDERSTANDING! Cagewriter Blog
  14. You're talking about Colorado right?
  15. +1 And it's amazing how the draught difference is from bar to bar. I went to a sports bar on St. Patty's this year and ordered a Guinness. It was noticeably blah. Very little head and not very smooth. I then go to a local Irish pub a couple days later...and it was like a night/day difference. I think a lot of that depends on whether or not they do the company's recommended pour. The company (Diageo) says the double pour should take 119.53 seconds and be served at 42.8 degrees Farenheit. A lot of bartenders just want to pour your beer, get your money and move on. Can't say I blame them though.
  16. Is flying considered a talent? No? I would have to say I would really like to be able to play an instrument. I inherited a guitar when my Grandfather passed away, but I haven't taken the time to learn it yet. It'll probably be pretty hard because I'm sure that I'm tone deaf and my finger dexterity isn't great.
  17. Iowa's claims to fame: 1 National Title 1 Heisman Winner 61 Consensus All-Americans 11 Big Ten Titles 13-10-1 in Bowl Games 580-512-39 Overall Record (.530) 2 Maxwell Awards 2 Davey O'Brien Awards 1 Doak Walker Award 1 John Mackey Award 1 Lou Groza Award 3 Outland Trophies
  18. Moria? Lord of the Rings, that Moria? The metaphor was in regards to "digging too deep", like the dwarves of Moria when they unleashed the balrog. I had balrog for a while. The doctor gave me this cream. It's gone now.
  19. I took a nap over lunch so I could dream about allowing only 54 yards per game. Let's just say I didn't want to wake up! September can't get here soon enough!
