  1. Matt did look like he put a pretty good move on Mark Dillard Saturday. Dillard should have nailed him outright but Herian put a nice move on him and Dillard never laid a hand on him. It was a nice 20 yard pickup.
  2. I hear he will be wearing lifts during the game.
  3. I called Cox cable and they told me there will be no pay-per-view for the game. They did say sometimes these things change and to make sure and check back the day before the game to make sure.
  4. I don't think so. If they watched at all they most likely turned it off after it was clear we were going to win.
  5. If our offensive line picks it up Zac will be able to stay on his feet a bit more.
  6. This sucks, I was hoping to see this game. I hate pay per view but I still pay for it. This is our tune up game for USC. Maybe it's a good thing it's not on tv. Less game film for USC to use against us.
  7. I wonder if he still carries around that Nebraska lunch box..
  8. Ruud had 80 tackles last season, including 12 tackles for loss. Of all the blackshirts returning only McKeon had more. Ruud would get a lot of playing time either way. Octavian might have won a co-starters position if he didn't become ill but Ruud was always going to be our starter.
  9. That makes sense to you and I, but not to some writers. They write things to get a rise out of people and get people talking about them. Is there anything really special about Jim Rome? No. He's just a guy who's reallly into sports, loves to tell you about them and tell you why his opinion is it and has some sorty of complex. Nothing special. Just a guy who people react to. Jim Rome likes to stir the pot up for ratings. He is entertaining.
  10. I don't remember who it was but one of his teammates from Butler said that was just how he used to run the ball down there. He would run right over any linebackers in his way and brake tackles left and right. Of course we won't know just how good he is until Saturday. God I have been waiting for this day for months. 66 more hours to go.
  11. With our CCG and bowl we will play a 14 game season. 12 - 2 is going to be easily within our reach. A lot will depend on the USC game though. If we win in LA that sets us up for a monster season. Maybe even a Conference Championship and BCS game.
  12. Normally this time of year defenses have a slight edge over offenses, but we may be the exception. With a returning QB, a rejuvenated offensive line, and a slew of fresh receiving and running back talent our offense just may be one of the best in the Big 12. At least I hope so. But like several others have already pointed out, we need to wait until we see the team on the field.
  13. September 2nd is good. That gives Oct a couple of tune up games before we head to LA. You know he has to be pumped about the USC game.
  14. That means we might not have Octavien until after USC.
  15. The more sports channels pick and drool over USC the more over confident they will become. Southern Cal replaces their QB and entire offensive line. We return a veteran QB and will field quite possibly the best set of running backs we have had in years. Maybe since Osborne was coach. USC is going to go into the game overconfident and favored. I really think our offense will be explosive this season. We will have the potential to score on any play from any part of the field. We just may surprise a few sportscasters. If we win in LA, we will have a monster of a season.
  16. I thought the article was great. How could I not like it with phrases like, "...a receiving corp full of veterans and superstar newcomers..." and "potentially monster season" I can't wait for September 2nd to get here.
  17. Ya know, I just can't wait to see Wilson on the field.
  18. USC won't be giving us much respect. So that will work in our favor. They won't be prepared for our new running attack, and hopefully our receiving corp will surprise them a bit with their speed.
  19. Matt is definately one player we want on the field at USC.
  20. I hope it's not that serious. We don't want to start getting thin at positions before the season even starts.
  21. Bradwell and Pittman are new JC recruits for them. Coleman is way down the depth chart as well. These guys are not difference makers.
  22. The sooners will do alright this year. They replace their QB and their offensive line but they have a great defense. But unless they find a way to beat the horns we will probably play Texas twice this season.
  23. This also casts us in a new light for graduating QB's coming in. Seniors may now take another look at us. Nebraska is a ranked team with a rich history, we now may be in the position where a freshman recruit could come in and be a four year starter. I know Callahan's offense is complicated but whoever starts will have the benefit of an experienced offensive line, experienced running backs and receivers. A heck of an opportunity.
