  1. I can't keep up with so many changes. Where did Oregon State's HC go? He did a great job there. Where did Dukes HC go?
  2. @GSG Yeah Monarch is good. He's been pretty busy lately. He works hard and is having a really good year
  3. I feel I learned that Chubba Purdy could actually be good in a pinch, say 2 games if QB1 goes down. I feel that Haarberg could be serviceable in a game, if CP isn't available. Not saying it would be a great feeling going into a game, but at least you know what to expect. And they have some experience now. A lot of quarterbacks are going into portal to make bank. Not necessarily NFL material, but pretty good college players. So they know what they are doing and I do not blame them. But also, I haven't seen a player out there at quarterback worth 50K to 100K per game. Just look at loyalty and moving around as one example. 7-9 wins is not worth the risk for the price being exploited. We do need someone to be that QB1. A transfer portal QB. I just hope our NIL group doesn't bend over and overpay. There are enough guys out there to make our team better, including quarterbacks without the uber headline flashes because they threw xxxx yards with xx TDs. But it's tough to figure it out when it comes to the portal. Player A B and C have the stats and the starts. Player D comes from the G5. Player E comes from FCS, has the same tangibles as the others, but isn't driven by the thought of becoming a millionaire in college. I just hope we get it right and get a good one. We need this.
  4. You see the new arms, but you also see some big boys yanking it and going yard. Some heavy boys whacking it. Need to brush up on the new Husker blood. Before season begin.
  5. I seriously have no clue. Just smells fishy since Day 1.
  6. Well s#!t. Was not a good 2nd half, I'll say.
  7. The little rumors about Harbaugh to the NFL and OSU's Ryan Day listening to NFL head coaching opportunities isn't a good look. Could be true, and could be false. But it is out there. Me thinks this only happens when one party squeals to the bosses during bad times and failing to deal with adversity. I.E., hiring PI's and running info to ESPN/Big Ten and low-hanging-fruit (podcasters, radio shows, fan bases). If a top-dollar booster thought he could purchase seedy intel on Michigan, he didn't think it through. Even though he got Harbaugh suspended twice during the year. 4 games in the beginning of the year. And again, during the last few games of the season (including against OSU). No matter how much you dislike your co-worker/colleagues (Fellow Big Ten Coaches/Teachers, Techies).... this was a poor decision to make stuff public. With private Investigators doing the dirty work from your brainstorming thoughts in the basement. I hope Harbough & Day stay. It's better for the Big Ten. I'm not saying there wasn't some sign stealing or lip reading going on. Because many teams seek advantages. But I do think the whole media mess against Michigan points towards Ohio State and their rich deviants. It felt like that since Day 1 (Ryan Day & boosters).
  8. It would be just our luck if UTEP hires Scott Frost. And then he hires Bo Pelini as DC. Game 1.
  9. Good opportunity for a nice bounce back. Looking forward to game tonight
  10. I have nothing to add, but I also get "edge" at the bottom of the screen for past few weeks (PC). But also, when it goes away it immediately pops up on the left side of the screen, completely vertical and covers the posters in threads. It actually covers 1/3rd of the screen. I don't click the x to close things. Because I know that's what they want, and I don't give my cookies or searching history away just because of that. As I type this on my PC it's hovering on the left side. So yeah, look into the "edge" ad some more. Or not. It's your site. But it's their intrusion that is good for them and benefits you as well, I suppose.
  11. I think you make a great point. "The primary motivating factor for this decision was money". Period.
  12. Will see Minus One this weekend. Godzilla x Kong Empire release isn't until April.
  13. From Hollywood, California Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
  14. From Japanese Director Takashi Yamazaki Minus One "Scary, Frightening, Awesome" Rated 8.5 out of 10 - must see in Theaters!
  15. I watched several FSU games this year, and the entire ACC championship game. I watched this video the other night. It's about the Orange Bowl, Georgia vs Florida State, with Kirby Smart and Mike Norvell. Both are class acts and I feel for them. I have so much respect for Norvell, biting his lip and doing these interviews after just winning the conf championship the night before, and finding out they are not good enough for the playoffs. Man, duing the 90's I wasn't big on FSU. Over the years my view started to change some. But now I am a big fan of the Seminoles.
  16. I voted Michigan and Washington as the 2 best teams, regardless of who is in the playoffs. Everybody knows there are 4 other teams that would be up for it and be tough to beat, including Texas, Alabama, FSU, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon. I mean, we've seen them all year. Penix is the Heisman IMO. Went undefeated, won a Conference Championship, plays like a pro, had amazing stats and beat Oregon twice, and USC, Utah, Oregon State, Boise State. And is 24-2 a the starting QB in 2 years with Wash. I just feel terrible for Florida State. I look at what FSU did and look at their entire team, their coaching staff, their trainers and doing everything asked of them by winning every game on the schedule. There are guys on defense, offense and special teams that put the work in all year..... won the games... and won a conf championship. Well, what about them? Doesn't anyone care about them? Just because their talented QB got hurt recently, does not mean the rest of the roster, the team, the coaches and players don't deserve a shot at a national championship. And they had to win a CCG with a true freshmen who never plaid this year (a few snaps is all). The backup QB was out with protocol and they probably score 30 points with him in the CCG instead. FSU got robbed. Most of the time, Bama is deserving (3 out every 4 years). You can't just give the nod to them, just because it's Nick Saban and the SEC. They've had plenty of chances in years before this year. And next year, the first 4 teams get a bye week. Which means the 12 team playoff isn't exactly resolved. How are you going to determine the top 4 next year? We could be in the same situation. The committee screwed up. Instead of having balls to tell people off, they crumbled to the SEC and Alabama. People aren't going to be tuned in if Bama or Georgia is playing in the playoffs. Most people turn the game on because it's the playoffs regardless. Which means it would have been perfectly fine if FSU was in the playoffs.
  17. Dallas Cowboys won Super Bowls 93, 94, 96. Huskers won NC 94, 95, 97. Dynasties 93-97 college & pro football. 25 years and no National Championships or Super Bowls. It's so odd.
  18. No this team does not need a lot of help. We are just a few pieces away. With just a little bit better QB play, we beat Minnesota, MSU and Maryland. That's a fact. And that's 8 wins with a bowl game coming up. Plus we took Wisc to OT and were tied 10-10 with Iowa with a few minutes left in the game. Even in the CU game the defense was holding it down while the QB play was beyond horrible. We gifted them 13 points right before halftime. This team doesn't need a lot of help. Just a few pieces away. QB & WR come to mind. A better punter. And better punt return efforts.
  19. The committee got it wrong by replacing FSU with Alabama. I feel terrible for the Seminoles. Meanwhile (as expected) the biggest advocate for SEC football said the committee got it right, per Paul Finebaum. His response to FSU being snubbed was pathetic and illogical. Per Paul Finebaum "FSU and their fans can go enjoy a nice bowl and everybody will be happy with that. And if this was next year, they would be in the playoffs" That's not an argument. I hate the SEC bias and snobbish retorts. 1. Wash 2. Mich 3. Tex 4. FSU That's exactly how it should have been. Period.
  20. Washington is in Michigan will be in Texas will be in FSU.....???? I think they beat Louisville & Bama beats Georgia. FSU beats Louisville and they will be in. Fingers crossed. I think Alabama will beat Georgia. No disrespect to the Bulldogs. Bama, Saban, chip on shoulder, better offense wins. If Georgia somehow wins this game, of course they are in and the debate will be between Texas with their starting QB vs FSU (if they win) with their backup QB. I lean Texas in that case. It sucks that FSU QB Travis is done, because they would be an undefeated ACC champ and get in over Texas "IF, and a big IF" Georgia wins. Roll Tide Go Seminoles Beat Iowa No SEC
