  1. Nice write up Knap. Very well put together. I wonder if the reasoning behind all this was a way to include it as future leverage. Meaning, if someone is not okay with an 8-4 season they will include this in termination factors / decisions. Whether that be end of season or next or whatever.
  2. Sorry I live outside the Husker nationwide, and I have not problems with this. after being on this bbs for some time, he's correct. we do have some f'ing retarded fans. He's correct? He is including all of us bud. His words, not mine. Bo Pelini: "It took everything in my power to not say, 'F You, fans. F all of you.' F 'em."
  3. Not a breaking point for me. Just more of the same old, same old feel to it. The WYO game did not make me think anything would be different this year. So going into this game, I thought it would be close with UCLA possibly pulling away in the end because they had the better QB and defense. What sucked was the 38 unanswered points and how easy they made it look. It was just another ugly loss to a talented team. So that sucked.
  4. What a shame. For me and those that live outside of Nebraska, that root and support the Huskers nationwide, man this is not good. It's extremely difficult to stand up for him and his words when people are mocking and laughing at us and our Coach. It's hard to defend this. Either get in a fist fight or just take it on the chin while others laugh. Dammit Bo.
  5. If anything about Frost was that he was perceived as a threat to take over if BP felt he could not do a good enough job as the HC.
  6. No offense, maybe TO gave some insight and thoughts about retaining some of the coaching to BP which may have included Watson to a good degree. But in no way does a short term AD select the coaching staff for a coach.
  7. Too bad we did but TO and Bo pulled the offer because he's a douche bag that we don't want associated with our program. I don't understand this. Clarify?
  8. Will you let the man have his vent? It's all we are all doing. Hopefully? Maybe?
  9. Nicely done. Plus one'd you. Although the fake punt IMO was stupid. Don't try to catch them off guard with a snap to a guard. If you really want to get momentum and gain confidence, go all out with the offense. It proves more that you want them to convert, showing them confidence. Trick plays are nice to get back in the game during the 80's. Either punt or be a baller.
  10. No one knows. No one has played starting QB in over 42 games or so. That's a career already. Why so defensive? Maybe another QB might throw the ball down the field or something. I don't know. But look at Ohio State. They looked fantastic with a more efficient passing QB in Kenny Guiton than the razzle dazzle runner Braxton Miller. And Miller struggles throwing, but is still better than TM. That's a simple fact. So maybe ease up a little. TM is a nice player. Real good straight line north/south speed. Throws a good horizontal pass while running an option. Is it so bothersome to wonder if another man up could actually play just as well, if not better? Maybe even a QB that doesn't need more than 3 years to finally put it all together? Just wondering. true but to assume inserting Armstrong in there will fix all the offenses problems doesn't make much sense to me since we haven't really seen him play, I would have loved to see him play the 4th quarter because the game was over and he could use some reps against a quality team but that doesn't mean the offensive line would have block better or the wideouts would have stopped dropping passes or the play calling would have improved, it gets kinda old when after every loss a bunch of new posters create taylor Martinez sucks/is the problem threads I hear ya. And I'm not pro-Armstrong either. I was actually thinking Kellogg. I'm just finally feeling like it's old hat already. Cheers.

  12. Man I did not know I had a soapbox in me. I hadn't drank a cold beer even. Well, until prior to that last post ;-)
  13. I know skers. I swear the thought crossed my mind today for the first time ever that I should just remove my big red N from my truck. You're in Cali and I'm in Texas. It's more of an embarrassing thing anymore. Still love them, still root for them. Still seeing the same results the past 6 years. The proud feeling has been slowly drifting away. It's tough to look at the scoreboard because it never says: Tough opponent 45 Nebraska 24 but in consolation runs a clean program with high graduate success and Academic All-Americans, so there!. Nope. The scoreboard always just says: Tough opponent 45 Nebraska 24. And the first thing analyst say is 500+ yards given up. Which is odd. Since we hired a defensive guy and all to clean up a mess. It's been 6 years since the previous crappy coach ran us into the ground and talked about picking up the NY Times. I mean, what the hell man? And all any good hearted Husker fan says is that a loss sucks but is okay as long as it doesn't continually go down like this. Which makes sense and we all agree. But what the hell man, here we are once again. Big game, Big hopes, Big loss, and afterwards get to hear how players <cough> didn't execute. Whatever.
  14. On the bright side, Mac Brown is on the hot seat while Ole Miss is clobbering them after BYU dismantled them. Oh yeah it's getting real up in here.
  15. Agree. This guy comes in and starts a walk-on true Freshman. He's probably be starting a different true freshman next week after the TCU finish. I've watched him coach two games and he has skills. His bonehead running back drops the ball on the carpet after a break away touchdown. Clifford pats him on the head and gives him the rock on the next play for a TD. It's unbelievable how composed he is......He's 34! You have to watch a TT game if you get the chance. I think Frost would operate like this guy. I recall the announcers saying how Kingsburry can relate to them and doesn't think you have to shout, yell and scream with neck veins to teach a point. Or get a point across. Or do whatever screamers do.
  16. Bo Pelini stands by his scheme on defense. "I think you saw in the first half it works when it's executed the right way," he said. Well didn't the UCLA players & Mora specifically mention how the players were very emotional the first half? And we all know why. So I just don't buy into it when he beats on his chest about how it works when executed. And pushes the fault on his players when not executing his game plan and strategy.
  17. Offense + Defense + Coaching. Just thought I would point out that the fake punt call was Bo. 31-21 late in the third quarter on our own 44 yard line. Does it not make clear sense to punt the ball and pin UCLA inside their 20? Close game still. Lot's of time left. We gain field position by punting, lose it by not converting 4th down. Instead UCLA goes 3 plays for a touchdown. Then the defense failed to hold them. At best case the Bruins would have punted and pinned the Huskers. So the fake punt attempt was on Coach which quickly put the score at 38-21 and all momentum clearly gone. And as the Buckeye announcer kept repeating himself about no pressure from the D-Line while in man coverage was too difficult to defend the Bruins offense, well that's Bo's strategy and it's on him for not adjusting. Big combo of things out there today against a good team. Same end result.
  18. Good post. It's same old, same old. Something might need to change unfortunately. However, keeping Bo and hiring new Coordinators is similar to rearranging the chairs on the titanic. The ship still sinks along with the Captain.
  19. Martinez has been an atrocious running QB since his sophomore season. He runs up to defensive players like a kid running to his parents after coming home from a 4 week summer camp. He stands up just as he's about to be hit, which makes it even worse. He needs to never play QB again. I lol'd, thanks. Sometimes the truth is funny.
  20. Would be fine with Frost here as well.
  21. I have no problem with what he said. He may be on to something.
  22. 10. maybe Taco John's ? (Just 1 in Florida, 3 in Texas, 0 in California & Oklahoma)
