  1. Nice call on Wake. It's good to see FSU lose. I'm picking North over South Carolina (#7) and Kentucky over LSU.
  2. Here's something special just for our TuffTiger friend... Hope he likes it. Click here for pikle luv
  3. To use the term "over hyped" - I really do not think that is Lucky's fault. He never came to Lincoln pumping his 5-star chest. I think he is doing fine. He could do a better job taking a half step quicker getting to the outside or hitting the hole. He is fast, but there is no burst. Overall, he's doing fine in my opinion. I think Castille should be used more, about 10 - 14 carries each game running between the tackles. It would benefit the team since they run different, making it difficult on defenses. And as the line needs to improve as well. A lot.
  4. Thanks for the link. I agree with JP 100% when he said "You have to dominate the line of scrimage on both sides of the ball and be a physical defense." And that this team is not a physical team & not holding each other accountable. If you cant do it, find someone who can. And college football needs a motivator, it's not the NFL, play for the name on the front of the jersey and not on the back. And that's all there really is to it. Good stuff.
  5. 4 quarters... & goal line... not bad!
  6. All honesty, I think it's a trust issue by the coach. I'm not so sure the coach wants a frosh out there in case he might make a mistake. Which sucks b/c I dont subscribe to that type of thinking. But I havent seen anything to prove me wrong. It's a total control situation, about robot timing, and not about athleticism. As for putting them on special teams, that's just ridiculous. That's not what they were recruited for. So the "game speed" speech is a copout. Control.. play like a robot.. no mistake..
  7. Thanks for enjoying the board and posting away. Can only hope for a good fair game. The better team will win. Good luck! GBR!
  8. Damn.. I totally missed this! Happy BELATED Birthday brotha dawg!!! Sounds like you celebrated pretty good!!! jagrbmbs - right on!!! And Happy BELATED Birthday to you too maryland husker!! Hope it was a good one!
  9. I dont think there is such a thing as burning a redshirt. They came here to play. The talent level isnt OU, Florida or USC. Dont save them, play them. Get Paul into the rotation. Remove Hardy and give him half of Nunn's plays. I'd like to see what he can do given the opportunity. I recall Purify & Swift made the best of their first few chances on the field. The only thing good about a RS is for injury.
  10. Your question seemed to get derailed.. a bit. My answer would be, without hesitation or doubt, "Yes. I want the Huskers to win the North." OU is definately tough, but even the South winner is not a given. Texas has two losses and OU is one loss away from matching that. I always want the Huskers to be the best, play against the best, and beat the best. If the Huskers win the North, instead of thinking of possible blow-out loss in the CCG, I would think they have a good chance to win. Because something would mean that between today and the final game, the coaches and the team somehow "get it" and did something very good to win it. Regardless of how I feel about the coaches, my answer will always be Yes.
  11. On the hot seat - Mike Gundy? But HE'S A MAN!!! HE'S FORTY!!!
  12. Head out to your local sports bars. They will prolly have it. I cant wait to see this game.
  13. From listening to the ISU game, Bowman didnt play well in that game either. Even though he was against Blythe, they (radio guys) constantly pointed out his positioning, reaction, and looking lost. I have no problems with him second on the chart, just putting out some feelers incase someone knew something...
  14. Q. How can the defense stop OK State? A. Defend them. Go back to the 3-4. Use two arms to tackle instead of one. Fill in the gaps & lanes instead of read and react (this group is too slow for that). D-line needs to get leverage and win the line of scrimage battle. If they cant sack the QB, get a hand up and knock the ball down. Corners need to be on top of the recievers, not 8-10 yards off the ball. Safeties need to fly to the ball, whether it's a pass or run. Man up, have some guts, make a play, make a tackle. Swarm the ball. Attack. And do it every down. It's not brain surgery. Its defense.
  15. I was curious why no one had brought this up yet. Starting CBs - Murillo & Grix with Bowman second on the chart behind Grix.

    Week 6 Upsets

WOW.... DJR was money with the Illinois & Kansas picks, and Josh82 was right on with the Stanford call. Awesome. And 808 called the Tennessee rout. Nice job fellas!
  17. That's cool... Definately a Legend.
  18. If Tampa Bay wants their offense to have a bunch of three-and-outs, more power to them. Take him. And dont let the playbook hit ya where the...
  19. Clarification: It was actually 106 yards, the longest ever in the NFL. (All because of that jacked up time-out call that teams seem to be using this year) Cowboys #1
  20. "Change can happen in a week" Saying "can" is a copout. Insert "will" and own up to it. "You don't go and fire people in the middle of a season, just because were not doing well" Sure you can buddy. But to save face, it'll have to wait 7 more weeks. Brace yourself. "We have a lot of coaches that other people want, I can assure you of that" I can assure you that it's probably Northern Illinois, Toledo, Louisiana-Lafayette, Iowa State, etc. Cally's comments - trying to get a square to fit into a circle, since day one.
