  1. That's okay, but I do not agree. We would not be done. As for Alabama, they have rebounded. The Mike Price incident got him fired during spring practices & they hurried to hire Mike Shula who had no coaching experience. Now they have Nick Saban. It was Sports Illustrated that reported Mike Price had been seen at a strip club "making it rain" and yelling "Roll Tide, Roll!".
  2. Hey how many rocks can you pick up without your hands? I have five now and room for a few more if I pinch it just right.
  3. Is that Rat-boy or Brother of Rat-boy? LOL haa haa haa
  4. Thanks for the news & updates. I'm very curious to see what this is all about. I know he was always on the hot seat as the coach, but after they beat UT last year things cooled down. If it's an illegal or NCAA problem, then they'll use it as the excuse. No matter what, the biggest question is - Against Miami, why did they run Javorskie Lane only TWO times? Crazy...
  5. Thanks for the stats. To me, the non-conference games are to get your team "gelling" and ready for conference play. A little experiment here and there, get your newcomers playing time and up to game speed, the the rust off the returning starters, etc, break down what isnt working to improve that area, and develope what it takes to win. With that said, the stats from early in the season are good but not the ideal measurment. What makes me nervous to all get out, is that Mizzou runs the spread offense. Which means they will spread the defense and attack the lanes that are open. And they will do it all day if you let them. Our defense hasnt made that adjustment yet so I am hopefull they will plan against it and then when they see it, they have to make the plays & stops.
  6. This is interesting. I think it was a rough week to be a fan (because of the comments by players) and a rough week to be a player. It should be back to good, hopefully.
  7. That's funny! He sure has the hops! I think the sacks will come with the experience & playing time. The D-line is a young group. The better the secondary gets, the more coverage sacks we'll see. It's been awhile since I've seen a DE just burn past the tackle and smack a QB down. Hope it happens this weekend! And more bones!
  8. This is just terrible. I cant even imagine. My thoughts and prayers with him.
  9. You're not the only one who makes that decision Not only was this the funniest, but also the best thing I've read all day.
  10. ND is on TV. ND. The reason we should be on TV is that I want to watch the Huskers play, damn it! Amen brotha! I want to watch them too!
  11. Ah, gotcha. Thanks. The only thing I can think of for the TAMU/Tech game is that it should be another shootout, and the networks love those. There's also that whole Fran thing going, I guess. UT @ ISU? That is really an odd one. ISU stinks and UT hasn't looked good except for their pasting of Rice. We've been on TV three times - @UGA, @Troy, and TTU. As Robsker said, it's mostly because we've been the 'foil'. Yeah, Washington Generals! A&M/Tech is a big rivalry (between the schools). Most of these games come down to field goals over the past 5 years or so. I have to believe that the Husker game will be picked up by PPV & Husker sports bars will show it.
  12. Thank you, I agree. Vince Young beat USC & won the championship, not Mac Brown. Brown was on the hot seat forever b/c of all the talent they got year after year, and somehow Brown found ways to lose two games a year. Good to see things in Austin are back to normal. Didnt they lose 4 games last year (post Vince Young?).

    MO

I think Keller's bread and butter play should be the quick slant to MO. Purify is bigger and stronger than any corner he's against. And he's not shy about dropping his shoulder into a LBs chest. That's 7 to 12 yards each time & eventually he will break one.
  14. That's pretty awesome. I may have to start following this team. Didnt we win the N'Championship last year?
  15. You shouldn't need knowledgeable fans to tell you what you already should know. As a reminder, if you are not playing through the season to get to the national championship, there is no such thing as an automatic victory. A lot of things have happened between '97 and 2007. Kinda sucks a lot, but it is what it is.
  16. I've never been so I have no input for ya. But I can say drive safe & enjoy it. Thanks for representing! GBR!
  17. Fellas, lets ease up on the panic button this week. Going back, the majority thought 2 or 3 losses this year. Some said four. Which means at some point it's going to happen. Concerned about how we're playing? Sure. Nothing wrong with that. Just take the win. Otherwise quit predicting 48-14 victories with 600 yards of offense in the weekly contest if you keep believing that. That's close to impossible to accept that as a benchmark. Seriously, teams ranked between 15 and 55 are field goals away from who beats who. As witnessed, even the top 10 had difficulty. Things will not change over night. Conference play is under way. That's a good thing, we won our first game. There are battles from here on out. There is no coasting. Let's be more into what we are doing well instead of the obvious of what we are not. Just enjoy it for what it is. Today is a win. Not dominating, big deal. Next week the team that plays better with determination and fewer mistakes wins. Offense, defense, and special teams. Like it or not, that's where we are at like most teams throughout the country. I've said my peace. GBR Forever!

    We are

LOL @ this sorry azz comment I'm quoting. This is a good topic showing support. Threadkillers can move along.
  19. Texas / OU next week. At the end of that day, someone will have lost back-to-back games. Niice.
  20. Hang on, I praised him b/c it was respectfully deserved today. I didnt put him in the Hall Of Fame.
  21. I'm not so sure I'm on board with that. In fact, I'm not. I listened to the game. Praise: Suh - he banged up his knee, returned later and was a big part of the stopping the run & clogging up the middle. McKeon - I constantly heard his named called for making a lot of big hits & getting tackles. Ruud - It was 21-10, ISU inside the 10 and he intercepted a pass off a deflection and took it 93 yards to the house. How HUGE of a turnaround was that? Very. Grixby - Interceptions are big and when you do it, that's making a play. How big was the kickoff return to set up the two minute offense before half? The two minute offense before half & trailing - It worked. They scored a touchdown to go up at half time. That's not automatic. They almost did it again with less than 50 seconds. But the effort deserves the praise. Keller throws the ball away and they kick a FG next time rather than staying in bounds. He'll be reminded & learn from it. Swift & Purify made several key catches to keep drives going. Huskers were favored and won. So was OU and they loss. Enjoy the victory brotha. There's more but I'm done typing... Those are good observations of things that went well but what about what went bad? Listen to Cally after the game.....he is saying the same things. Did good, did bad but in the end we won. I said, there is no reason to complain. My first post I was saying it's a tough game to determine how good we are. We won though and I have no complaints, just tough one to judge without game film and it was nice to see that we won pretty easily considering our inconsistencies. K.. gotcha. I'm good with the win, wasnt pretty, and considering all that's happening today in college football, plus the heavy week we all just went through, I'm alright with just getting the dub-ya.
  22. LOL!! Sure is! puh-puh puh-puh puh pump your blood
  23. 89 punt return for TD! KSU now on top 34-21, almost 4th qtr. UT has not looked anything like a power house team this year. Far from it. And I've watched all their games.
