  1. Watching Michigan in the two playoff games, the cameras panned on Moore as often as seeing a Burger King commercial. And the commentators talked about him a lot. It's like, if you didn't get the message by then who the next UM coach will be after Harbaugh exits, you weren't paying attention. Hope he does well. Colin Cowherd had some pretty good thoughts about it. He basically said that you can go outside of the box, and outside of the School's fam to hire someone, like DeBoer and Alabama, with no ties at all, or you can can keep it rolling with the school's/coaching fam, and hire Moore. He then mentioned that by keeping things together, satisfying recruits, the current players, the staff, the boosters, the board and the fans, and everybody is okay with it and happy........ and that it's great for a year and a half.........until you start to see the cracks. And eventually those cracks start to open up more and bigger over the following seasons. So then what do you do? And he provided several past examples, including Osborne to Solich. Funny, I thought the same thing. So we shall see....
  2. That's awesome! Just remember to have low to no expectations. And be sure to have a good greasy bar platter food ready to go when you watch it. You will start out like this..... Which will turn a into this..... Then some more of this..... And by halfway into... it will feel and look like this....
  3. Man that is a shame. I feel bad that you missed out on it. It's Legendary. I'm not sure if you watch it these days for the very first time that it would feel like it when it came out. Meaning, it was an era movie and it was super cheesy........ So cheesy you didn't mind watching 5, 6, 8 or 12 times again. But if you do watch it, I hope you like it. Keep in mind it was a late 80s vibe. And the film definitely shows it's time period. I mean, if I never saw "Say Anything" or "Heathers" or "Weird Science" or "Risky Business" or "St. Elmos Fire"..........I'm not sure if I would like them today seeing them for the first time. But back then? Shoot....
  4. Everything. They been there and done that. Seen this and that. Did this and that. They love to talk about it at the Truck stops. Driving 18-20 hours straight every night or else you're not a real Trucker. Well it's not the 70s or 80s anymore. And we are not called Super Truckers or Truckers. We are called drivers. If you are at a truck stop for the night, and turn on your CB radio (mine is hot, meaning this guy rigged it for me so that I can here s#!t from like 100 miles away).....you will here some crazy stuff, funny, entertaining, and truck preachers. After awhile it's all the same and boring. The worse part is after a nice shower and meal at the truck stop, you climb into your cabin, get comfy on the bed ready to fall asleep and hear the tapping on your door. That "knock knock knock" is coming from a lot lizzard.... don't open it because she will tell you she just wants to come in and talk for $20 so she can .....(whatever the hustle is)...... which will then lead to offering services for more money because she needs .......(another story for the hustle)...... Just don't open the door man. And pray she stops knocking after a few tries and that she doesn't circle back when you are in REM sleep.
  5. @Madcows You need to work on your snob skills ! Just kiddin... Yeah Nike is pretty awesome, I do admit ! Nothing wrong with loving Nike more these days, but always keep adidas close in your heart. As for me, if the Beasties ask "So whatcha want?!" I still ride with "My Adidas"
  6. LMBO that does sounds gross and disgusting! But funny!!! @Hilltop @LennynSquiggy @JJ Husker @gobiggergoredder Well, yall are always welcome and invited to my home in Texas anytime !!! and we can fire up the grill on the patio for street tacos (carne asada, al pastor, barbacoa), and margaritas or modelo with lime....or any kind of brew......Dos Equis... Newcastle.... Schlitz.... Coors original (Banquet).... doesn't matter We won't have quacamole!!! And we won't have to talk about Michigan or Texas. BUT..... puking is optional and always funny! PS. Mexican Rice and beans included PPS. Not included - @Mavric (unless he want to come to the partay?)
  7. I got burned out. OTR (Over the road). I wanted be home and have a normal life. Home on weekends. So I switched to driving local. At the time, Walmarts was paying super good (6 figures). But for years before that all Drivers knew that Walmarts was the gold standard. It just was mysterious and crazy to get on with them. Heard from 50+ drivers that they might hire a guy that has 2 years driving experience, plus an accident, and yet, they turn down the Driver who has 10 years of perfect record. Not nobody can figure it out. I was about to apply with them at the time, but I found a really good local gig, doing 10 hours a day, local. I have a lot of free time. And it pays well. I'm happy. I'm home every night. I'm cooking. I'm living normal. My GF is happy. My fam is happy. I'm not a super trucker from the 80s that drove 15-18 hours illegaly every day and snort coke.....Driving 62 mph max. I hate those super truckers and their stories. If you hate the bada$$ Firemen mentality, than you know what I mean. OTR is like this - if the wheels aren't rolling, you're not getting paid. But you can drive only so much lawfully. Local - You paid your dues. Now You get paid hourly Plus OT and you do 10-12hrs per day. At FedEx you do that and get $1250-$1400 a week with the right route, with only 3-4 stops a day, and less than 100 miles total. Mostly just waiting on warehouses to load and unload. Drive. Park. Sit. Wait. Unload. Load. Roll out. Repeat a couple times. It's super easy.
  8. @Hilltop I love the energy you have but I disagree with you. Maybe we need to make some campfire chili and have some Busch Lights.... Get to the bottom of this. With some garlic bread. And tortilla chips with salsa. And Guacamole. We might never ever agree, but it'll be fun. Someplace or Somewhere I think Jimmy H likes the sound of that too!
  9. Let me guess. You probably hate Texas too! Amirite ?!!?
  10. Lots. But I also drove a skateboarder for 6 years. From the state of Washington to all across the US. Lots of miles. Got to listen to some Pelini games, Riley games, and Frost games. Skateboard is slang for flatbedders
  11. It's not about the contract. You know very well about college football contracts and payouts. I think that when you climb Mount Everest (NCAA), looking back at how long it took, but you made it, you feel a sense of elation..........So your next challenge (NFL) that is calling, is to climb Mount K2 or Nanga Parbat. A slightly different mountain and one you climbed before.....but Without the NCAA on your back and recruiting High Schoolers that show college potential.
  12. Just going to add that I watch a handful of spring games, random teams. The 2 that stand out to me was 2021 Michigan State. Overcast and so painfully boring. Thought they sucked. Like really really bad. I couldn't see them winning 3 games. It was an awful spring game. But they ended up going 11-2 that year. I'll never forget it. And 2022 Washington. Another overcast gloomy spring game. It was also bad and incredibly boring. I didn't see talent And they were coming off a 4-8 year. They went 11-2. I'll never forget it. But I've also seen some really good Spring Games and got on the wagon and felt the vibes........Couldn't wait to bet them.... and those teams barely won 6 or 7 games. So you never really know.
  13. LMBO Trust me, I'm a Bears fan & Dolpins fan. It's been like 40 years of meh, blah, oh hey!, that's nice, damn, that sucks, here we go again, draft somebody for once, I hate my life.
  14. With Fits, in regards to shoes, I am 1000% adidas. Mostly classics and superstars. Some old school high tops. Some soccer sambas. Now I do have some Nike that are also old school. High tops. White and Green. But with Nike, no Jordans. I am Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and Patrick Ewing. 3 stripe For Life
  15. Weeks ago he had $100 mil on the table. Just laying there. And just like Jimmy H, he was more interested about the Spaghetti Carbonara with garlic bread. The Red flags were there.
  16. l want that Blaupunkt receiver for $34.95, like back in the day! Or maybe it's just a CB radio gizmo. It lets you talk to the Sun and Moon and fellow truck drivers!
  17. After finally building up Michigan and overtaking the resident evil, Ohio State, he won a Natty and if I was in his shoes I would go to LA too. Now is the time. It sucks for our conference and college football fanatics, haters and weirdos, but I am sad to see him go. I wish him the best. He beat Ohio State 3 years in a row. He got to the playoffs. He won a National Championship. He got punched in the belly and slapped in the face, by getting suspended. He had sports people tarnishing his success, and running him down like the Tabloids. And his team loved him. And he won. Now go win the division (I love Herbert with the Chargers), do some drafting, lead the way, build a winner, and get to the Super Bowl. If he gets to the Super Bowl in 3-5 years, what else are you going to say. He's been there before already.
  18. I feel bad in a way, because the last few years Harbaugh has built a Michigan football team to overtake Ohio State. And the Buckeyes have been the top dog bully for over 10 years. So that really impresses me. But also sad that he is leaving, because it is so great for college football and the Big Ten. Unless you are Ryan Day and Ohio State alum, fans, boosters, etc. Having said that, if I was in his shoes and just won a Natty, I would most def go to the LA Chargers. Great Stadium/venue. Good team. Love Herbert. It's SoCal. And they just need someone to lead the way. Bring the winning mentality and formula. Only thing in the way is the Chiefs, but you can still make it to the tournament (playoffs) finishing 2nd in that Division. Best of luck to Harbaugh and I hope he has them in the Super Bowl in 3 years.

    NFL 2023

I do too. But I will also be happy with Lions vs Ravens. Or Lions vs Lions.

You cannot count out Mahomes, never, ever. Josh Allen droped some deep ball dimes that were not caught by the receivers. That's not his fault. Receivers get paid well too, and they call for the ball all the time. Receivers boast when they catch it. Receivers lose games when they don't. And that is facts. Baltimore and Lamar Jackson might win this game. I like him and their team. I am leaning on this to be a win for them. But never count Mahomes out. Ever.
  21. It's bulls#!t man. I mentioned this a few minutes ago in the board feedback "the board is all sorts of broken..."
  22. 2 months in and still getting Ads horizontally on bottom of screen, and the sweet Vertical Ad that covers the entire left side of the page. And now this.... I'm getting a full page AD to click something before I am allowed to read anything on Huskerborad. It covers my entire Monitor screen. It allows me no other choice but to click one of the answers, or exit out of it by clicking on the the "x" ..... And then I can read content on Huskerboard. This s#!t is so intruding. This type of AD is saying "click anything you see! and we got you!" I'd leave it at that........but let me guess, you will get back to me in 3 weeks and ask for screen shots. Isn't that how it works? Around here? Just trying to handle things nice and slowly. Occasionally addressing stuff at times. Listen, if you have 2 restaurants and can only handle one, the other is going to suffer. But, here's the screen shots. I google HB. I click on HB link. I get the HB front page. I click on anything from there, and I get this big popup AD that covers my entire screen. No profit for me. And I will NOT click on that AD to continue. And, I've tried this 10 times and 8 out of 10 times it happened the same way. Maybe I should just go away.
