  1. Could you imagine if that was the price for NU. There would be riots in the streets to be the 1st to buy them. I went ahead and bought a pair because I figure thats what they will be for just our game come football season. Do you think that you'll be using your Weber State or Texas State game tickets? I'll gladly pay 27 cents for the Weber game and $1.67 for the Texas State game or $1.80 for both! I will probably donate the rest of the season to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wyoming Are you being serious? I was contemplating buying a couple season tix cuz it's a closer drive than Lincoln, but I don't know what I'd do with the rest of them. Yes I'm serious. Several years ago I/we did the same thing for the Wake Forest game (season tickets at WF were $99)and Big Brothers Big Sisters ended up with over 200 sets of tickets. No matter what some of these smart a$$es on here say it is going to a good cause because alot of children will never get the oppertunity to attent one of these games. If I can put a smile on one kids face and possibly encourage an education it is worth every dime. We showed up on game day at Wake Forest reading the front page of the local paper as it told a story about the generosity of the husker fans who donated their tickets. There is a reason why we are the greatest fans in college football. That's awesome! Now I just need to find someone to go with me I'm sure that wont be a problem, I'm in Greeley CO and I know there is plenty of Huskers here. I have already spoke to Big Brithere Big Sisters in Laramie and they have over 130 kids at this time and I have there contact information for whoever might want it.

  9. I drove up from S.W. Missouri for the show and was not disappointed. I thought he had two very good comedians open the show for him, but I do believe the person who parachuted in that was suppose to be Larry was hurt more then they let on. All in all it was a just another great time in Lincoln.
  10. I have two extra tickets to give to anyone who is interested. I will be in Lincoln around 1:00 pm so give me a call if you want them. Mark 816-244-2251

  12. I have your two tickets and you are more then welcome to them.
  13. so with that handle are you a NU fan or h8ter? That would be like me asking you which caveman you are in the beginning of history of the world part one and to answer your question, there is no place like Nebraska Not trying to doubt you, it is just that in my background being 8/eight up is not a good thing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: for a reference to what I am talking about, Eight Up > Military slang for one who is due for dismissal through a Section 8 proceeding; crazy, mentally unfit, disturbed, disorganized, psychologically disturbed, a psychopath. Also called 11 up and 3 down. Hey!! Thats ME
  14. so with that handle are you a NU fan or h8ter? That would be like me asking you which caveman you are in the beginning of history of the world part one and to answer your question, there is no place like Nebraska Not trying to doubt you, it is just that in my background being 8/eight/ate/etc. up is not a good thing. I love Husker football and the University of Nebraska and what it stands for, it is one of the few places where you can spend time with your family and 85,000 friends on gameday. ( refering to places like MU,CU & KSUcks)
  15. so with that handle are you a NU fan or h8ter? That would be like me asking you which caveman you are in the beginning of history of the world part one and to answer your question, there is no place like Nebraska. (couple #1 or couple #2)
  16. Thats awesome what a game to go to for the first Husker game!! I was in the North stadium 84th row, right under the big screen man those must be the seats people get that don't donate enough haha By the end of the game we were all jumping all over each other!! I haven't heard that place like that in years. My seats are in the north stadium so I guess I don't donate enough, but come gameday these seats are mine, no more ebay, no more scalpers, and no more standing on the outside looking in haha. As we get better these seats will get harder & harder to come by, but my happy a$$ will still have a seat. I'm just glad to have season tickets no matter where I sit so that I may share this experience with my kids. This is a great story and it is hard to explain the feeling of spending the day with your son or daughter at there first Husker game. So thanks for the story and I hope you and your son can enjoy many more in the future no matter where you sit in the sea of red.
  17. I really don't want to get into one of these "well my school has this, yours only has this" debates, but you've pretty much forced my hand here. Nebraska is a fine school, but it's not on par with Colorado academically. Nor is Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas Tech, or any of the other schools in the Big XII other than Texas, Baylor, and Aggieland. This is not an opinion, this is a fact. Four of the "less than talented" members of CU's faculty have received Nobel prizes in the past 8 years. I'm not sure what our ranking was this year, but I know that CU has been ranked as the 11th best public university in the country by The Economist numerous times this decade. In 2007 CU was ranked as the #34 university in the world (public or private) by the Institute for Higher Education. 17 CU graduates have gone on to become astronauts and fly in space (that's a lot). Also, most graduates from CU know how to properly spell the word "genius." I think I'll stop there. Please give my regards to your esteemed circles. WOW! Now that's what I call some serious intellectual smack. I hate to side with a Buff fan, but for those of you who are not bright enough to realize it "In the Deed the Glory" just got slammed! and the other 95% are in the Betty Ford Clinic
  18. Before clownahan I don't remember a game when we sat down and I'm glad we are actually standing again. That is part of getting into the game and if you don't want to stand up, watch the game from your couch
  19. That sucks. I will have a beer for you Fri afternoon.. Let's make that a Crown & Seven.
  20. Line him up with Mason Wald and see how tough he is.
  21. Unfortunate, but true. I would rather the south team win this game then go on and win the nat'l champ for the big12.
  22. They didn't buy them Saturday, so I don't see them buying them for the CU game. I'm sure half the students that are in Lincoln with tickets will say "screw it, its too cold out" and rip their ticket up. What a bunch of pu$$ies!! Put a coat on for gosh sakes... Seriously, though, I think winning will bring the fans back. Call 'em band wagon fans or whatever, they still fill the seats... I am not sure that we will ever have fans like some of us remember growing up. Times are different, there is too many other things going on on Saturday afternoons now. People don't take the time to spend with their kids and teach them about the tradition of Husker football now days...and even if they took the time, the kids won't always listen anyway. My kids are all HUSKER8UP and no there is not anything else to do on gameday. They have all been raised with Husker football and are proud of it. I do understand what you are saying though but tell my 12 year old girl you are a mizzou fan and see what you get. She knows more about the players then I do half the time and would put other schools fans to shame. So bring your kids up Husker red and help the tradition live on. When my wife said she may not be able to go to the colorado my little girl said she would go and she didn't care how cold it was. So if your one of those pu$$ies who are not going to go to the game my 12 year GIRL would be glad to take your seat.
  23. I would love to have these tickets and the money is not a problem, I just don't know how I could get them because I'm from SW Misery and won't get to lincoln until sat morning. I will be at the game tickets or not because my wife is using my season tickets and taking her friend. I only need three tickets for me and my two daughters but I would be glad to buy all 4. If you have any ideas let me know.
