I agree! From START to FINISH! I want the D to play a game where we see VERY noticeable improvement, specifically the secondary. I want to see our OC not get cute on a few series where we all say WTF was that? I want to see special teams show us that having a dedicated coordinator is starting to pay off. However, I think it is wise to assume nothing with our Jekyll and Hyde team and just hope for the best. I know my wife would appreciate a dominate performance though as she is tired of me griping at the TV during the game as if the coaches can hear me. Go Big Red! For once this season, I would like to see NU come out and completely dominate a team from start to finish. Im talking a woodshed beat down. Go into the bye week healthy and whip Iowa.

Actually, the decision to go for two early in the fourth quarter is the one that could have killed us. If we kick that extra point, then kick the extra point after the last touchdown, we are up three and a last second FG by Mich state only ties us. I agree. I think many coaches but not all, kick the PAT in that situation and don't chase points with that much time left. I wanted them to kick the PAT.

I was not a fan of that kick and was left scratching my head on why? Your comment is spot on. That kick, and the 3rd quarter pick in the red zone where Langsdorf called two straight pass plays instead of using Cross had me cursing at the coaches.

It's hard not to feel deflated these days as I watch the team I love. There are many things to be fixed, but what discourages me the most is the defense in general. My gut tells me the offense will be erratic but put enough points up to win......however, the defense will be so porous once again, there is no chance of winning.

uuhhmmm....I thought I would point out that Osborne adjusted after losses to Miami / FSU and began to recruit speed / better athletes on defense.

We kind of fit in that category (Bolded) right now as well. I never know what team will show up for the Huskers, so I quit getting my hopes up over the years about "lighting up" anyone. I think Purdue is a better team than their record reflects.

Then that would make more sense. There has got to more going on with Wilbon. Ameer was not always the best at pass pro, but his running skills more then made up for that.

1. Bank-grove will cost us more games. A five year old could complete a pass against our secondary. 2. Penalties are killing us. 3. We need to find a consistent running game. I am done with the Newby experiment. 4. Tommy has improved as a passer. 5. Westerkamp and Janovich are gamers with a fight in them that needs to infect the rest of the team.

They bring one in the box to help the run and then one high to help the DB's......... If we can't generate enough of a pass rush, then its the wrong friggin scheme. Our D is really hard to watch. Disappointment after disappointment. That a nice way of saying they are REALLY bad.

Although I have seen a few runs where Newby looked decisive and made some great cuts, I am still not really a fan of his. He leaves yards on the field far too often with his "happy feet" dance. Additionally, he seems to lack vision at times. I hope Wilbon improves his pass protection if that the reason he is not seeing the field.
