Can't argue your post...but sometimes the staff may see someone they can mold into a very good player. I get the sense that is happening here.

This kid intrigues me. Speed off the edge specialist type would be welcome on our defense.

Hearing LB Monheim will be a top prospect for 2012 (Illinois has already offered him). Pirman is an interesting prospect. Will be interested to see how he likes his visit this weekend because there is a world of difference playing on Nebraska's defense vs. Indiana's. After watching Indiana fold on Iowa's drive last weekend (that was Cosgrove-esque defense there), no doubt Pirman could play early there. But he also seems like a player the Pelini's could develop to his full potential. Small-town type kid would likely love Nebraska...I'll be watching this one with interest.

David has to get better in coverage. Inconsistent pressure from the D-line...great against Mizzou...not so much today. Inconsistent tackling. Paul fumbles. Agree with a lot of that. "Safe" as Pelini's style may not be the best description. I just think as a defensive minded head coach he is more than likely going to throw his chips down on having his defense win the game, especially when it is uncertain what we may have with the offense on a day like today. This mindset is probably the best way to go with our team today and a strategy I would prefer with a Nebraska team in general. A few more pieces on offense and we will be really good. Defense could have defintely played better but we won on the road with our 3rd string QB.

I thought Cody did alright. I thought they could have passed it some more to give the offense some balance but maybe had to do with today's wind. Dunno..just felt like the gameplan was to win it with our D and when we gave up points suddenly everyone is panicked with "Green can't win it for us!"...not sure that is fair to Cody. My bet is Pelini's thought they would hold ISU under 20 points and Green would be fine with no INTs. We had other issues today. Green was in there today to hand the ball off and if you don't change it up a bit you are going to have some 3 and out's with that predictability. Not saying that was a bad plan...gameplan was to go with our strength running it and let D lock down ISU (D had some problems today).

The officiating is really getting out of hand and has me legitimately concerned it will cost us the Big 12 title. The more I think about it, the more real it seems that the deck is stacked against us winning the Big 12. I say this because you really think the Big 12 wants to hear the following every Sat. next season from joe college football fan..."you know the Big 12 sucks...they lost their best team Nebraska and Texas is no good anymore...man, what a weak conference!". Plus if NU wins the Big 12 it will also be said..."Man the Big 10 is a great conference...they already had some top teams plus they added the best team/only BCS team from the Big 12...what a conference!". That will be the perception next season and that is the precise reason the Big 12 needs to ensure that Okie State, Mizzou, OU get through over us. They desperately need this now that Texas is out this year. Don't be surprised if a lower ranked OU or Okie State beats us in the CCG. I just have a bad feeling about this.

Sorry sd'sker as I don't have any great technical info. for you on this but I do have the exact same question! So, we have two Husker fans in need of help here! Just starting to look at tablets and I can't decide between iPad and android. Some people really love the iPad and usually when I hear about android it was bought because of the price but I have yet to have someone tell me that it is good or better than iPad. Got a few..."it's pretty good and the price was good (i.e. less than iPad)". So, who can help your fellow Husker fans on this? I am looking for one as a Christmas gift to use around the home...primarily heavy email and web surfing (mobile HuskerBoard at my fingertips, ) Some gaming maybe. Maybe some basic word processing and spreadsheeting. Initially I was thinking a netbook but I do really like the tablets. Advice is appreciated.

Awesome to hear about the crowd. Our early scores, sacks on Gabbert, and goal-line stand was loud on TV. Love to see our stadium shots with no empty seats. I am always still surprised to see stadium shots when watching other big games and you see empty seats at other venues.

I would really like to get Turene. He could be a really good player for us. Was watching USC vs. Oregon tonight and the luster is off at USC...lots of the crowd left before game was over. No bowl games 2 seasons in a row. They have some work to do and we are ahead of them. No one is talking about the defense at USC...unless it is about how far they have fallen off.

Hmmm...pretty surprised at this. I thought he would be ours. Did we back off? Hopefully this means we just get a few of the other good defensive recruits we are after at D-Line and LB.

Good to see the Pelini's took my advice on how to beat Misery...get to Gabbert and he becomes ordinary...let him sit back there and he will put it in there against some of our best coverage. Loved seeing the pressure and pass rush! YES! Helu Jr. is the man! Great game by the O-Line! Nice game by the D! Was worried when Dennard went out...nice to see Evans play well. Nice to see Osborne play well. Hope TMart is alright and nice game management by Z. Lee to keep our offense moving. Adi is a great weapon on kick-off. No turnovers = we win.

Osborne should not be suspended. Great hit and clearly a fumble and TD return. Man, I was so pissed at that situation. You beat Mizzou by pressuring and getting to Gabbert as then he becomes ineffective. We did a pretty good job in the beginning and then we let him escape and he made some good plays to keep his team in it. We then break through and just absolutely crush him, get the fumble, get the TD, game over...what a play! Then it's like, well ugh no, we are Big 12 refs and think otherwise and think Mizzou should still be able to have a chance. What a load of BS! TV was brutal on this play. I loved how they briefly showed one angle thinking they were going to show a penalty on NU and you see it is clean and cleary a fumble...so they then cut to commercial! I was like OK...when we are back from commercial they will have a zillion angles and replays...but they don't! No fumble and no TD to be seen here...move along! DVR is awesome...I had to go back and look at it again...not even close. The game was over on this brutally missed call...pathetic!

Would really like to see one of those :star :star DT's come in for us. Those guys you listed would round out a great class! I'd be happy to see our next commit come from any of those guys. I think we have Adeyanju. He really liked his visit.
