  1. Ark's biggest problem is their QB, he's just not very good. Not that they can do anything about it right now. But they've been doing well with what they've got as the season has gone on. Tough loss.
  2. And let's face it, Ark is rebuilding from total sh#t, and have made huge improvements this season. That's something to be happy about when they've sucked so hard recently. Whether they win or lose this game, they've been playing great lately.
  3. Well, he was good. Now he's minus one ankle and not so good. Also, Ark has really improved this season. Good for them.
  4. What's amazing are the mental gymnastics some of you go through to find something new to bitch about. It's definitely a special talent. Very special.
  5. Except Purdue probably isn't worse than Rutgers. Their record claims they are, but their level of play over the last few weeks says they aren't.
  6. Hopefully a few people are stepping back from the edge now.

Not really. This team cannot get out of their own way. It will cost us a game yet this year. Maybe two.

Hey, if you're happy with what you see, good for you. Good for you.

Who said anything about being happy with what I see? Reading comprehension fail, lol.

  7. No. The only way to do it is to have a playoff that casts a large enough net so you catch the teams with a reasonable shot. And a 4 team playoff isn't nearly large enough. Edit - And while the overall "best" team may not always be the best on the field on a given day, that's the nature of sports. Everyone accepts the winner of a real playoff can reasonably called the champion and best team, no matter how much a few might grumble on the side.
  8. The idea that eliminating "official" preseason and early season polls would somehow magically make the season egalitarian at the start is f'ing hilarious. People would retain their notions of who are the best teams in the country early on and would vote accordingly when the time came. The polls are a manifestation of what some people see as a problem, not the "problem" itself.
  9. Bumgarner was lockdown. Annoying, but nice pitching. SF just outplayed KC tonight. Bleh.
  10. Carol will not be there, nor will she be dead.
  11. I'll +1 you for that. As for what's different, I don't see this team getting blown out in a game this season. I could be wrong, but time will tell.
  12. Not a fan of any potential candidates. Of course, I'd much rather see the majority of both House and Senate completely cleaned out and replaced by sane individuals. Sadly, those that want to replace them are mostly insane, retarded, or both, as well. In terms of human potential, intelligence, and common sense, politicians are pretty much drawn from the dregs of society. So I don't see anything changing anytime soon.
  13. No, she has a horsesh#t point. And I never claimed there was no correlation, only that hers is suspect because her example is a poor one...did you even read my posts? I heard nothing manly about the announcer for our game. I also said correlation does not equal causation. Learn the difference. Until SHE can prove some motive behind this supposed "only manly women are selected to announce" BS, then it's only an opinion, and a very poor one at that.
  14. Callahan's coaching and management were excellent in all areas. So were his teams. I know because he said so and never used coach speak. Someone get him on the phone!
  15. It's not possible to pin singular events (or even a single seasonal change) on global climate change, however patterns over longer periods can be more reliably attributed to such things.
  16. What a terrible coaching call, and a terrible decision by Bo Wallace. Wow.
  17. This pretty much sums up the original post...
  18. And yet they're on camera with increasingly large amounts of speaking. Not to mention women like Erin Andrews (I think?) who have done a large amount of talking in front of the camera during ESPN's Game Day Live stuff. If they only wanted "mannish" female voices in their broadcasts, none of them would have jobs. You also seem to forget that correlation does not equal causation. And even your correlation is suspect here, because this woman was easily identifiable as a woman. She didn't sound like a man just because she didn't fit your stereotypical voice type.
  19. She didn't sound like a man to me. And they have plenty of sideline reporters, who end up talking a fairly significant amount on camera, that have the stereotypical female voice types. If they only wanted someone who sounded like a man (which isn't even the case with this woman), then that would extend to the sideline reporters, too.
  20. I'd say your belief about why she has her job is total horsesh#t.
  21. Holy f'ing sh#t... How about just being happy they've got a woman announcing (and presumably hoping for more) rather than disecting what her voice sounds like? Stop looking for reasons to hate the woman with the announcing job.
  22. Constantine was underwhelming and bland. Not a huge shock, but it's too bad.

  23. At least we've got a real game tonight!
  24. He's quoting the official NCAA rules on offensive pass interference. I wondered when anyone else would bother to look them up.
