  1. Not too many more vocal advocates of Nebraska than KJJ. And he still has a pinned tweet declaring his love for Nebraska. There's no smoke and no fire.
  2. Seconded How about his own tangent forum? Seconded Thirded. If that's a word...
  3. Not really. Just showing that others before you have created a legacy of their own in Red. Now it's your turn. Let's be honest, Ole Miss isn't going to win anything. We at least have a legit shot at getting to the Big 10 Championship and if we pull that out, we are in the playoffs. There truthfully isn't a legacy to be had at Ole Miss. I would be concerned about the possibility of a ban on postseason play or something worse at Ole Miss. The NCAA has already made serious allegations against the program. The sanctions, if any, will come in 2 to 3 years from now, just as Gebbia is likely to be ready to step onto the big stage and take over whatever team he is at. Does he really want to risk the possibility that he'll never start a bowl game???
  4. Don't feed the troll. There is a convenient feature on this board where you can ignore a specific user's posts. The only problem is when other user's quote that guy and you still see his crazed rants.
  5. Gebbia is next. Within the next two weeks.
  6. Does anyone know if the Big Ten Network includes all the alternate channels during the season when there is more than one game on at a time?
  7. Call me crazy, but I'd rather see the UCLA offensive game plan much more often than the Purdue offensive game plan going forward.I'd rather have the ball in our best playmakers hands and game plan around that. This year those playmakers are the WRs. All the press that was at practice on Saturday raved about all of the WRs and how impressive they looked. Newby was unimpressive, Ozigbo was steady when he played and the other RBs only have unproven talent, you would rather game plan around those guys then the proven WRs? Come on man. Also if you think the UCLA game plan will work in October and November against Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Iowa, come on man. Don't understand this resistance to having the best offense available, no matter how its done.Oh yes, without question. Again, see the Purdue and UCLA games last season. The game plan against UCLA took the ball out of those flashy playmakers hands some, but it made us a better football team. I know it seems counterintuitive that it would work out that way, but it did, and it will more often than not. So it was the game plan that doomed us against Purdue? If so, I didn't realize it was the game plan that put TA on the bench and Fyfe in to give up 5 turnovers.
  8. Then they need to work on it, and practice it much more during the spring/fall. I don't have an opinion on whether they practice rushing enough. Not saying you're wrong, just what is the source of your belief that it is a lack of focus on the rushing game in practice? In the fall and spring, our media outlets that said they spent the majority of practices focused on the passing game. Not a narrative I recall seeing. Not saying you're wrong, just strange I don't recall it. Assuming that's the case, then I agree with you 100% that they should focus on rushing more in practice to improve the efficiency.

  10. We were sixth in rushing in 2015 in the B1G. If we had had 1/2 yard better yard per carry average, we would have been third in rushing. That's his point.
  11. MR's point is that we need to improve our running efficiency.
  12. So he's making multiple videos.... Valid point...
  13. I don't particularly care what the SEC has to say on the issue, but ignoring the recruiting purpose for the trip (practice at a premier sports high school) it sure sounds like an impermissible extra benefit for current players to me. Ohio State got sanctioned for players getting free tattoos and Michigan wants to pay for an all expense spring break trip to the beach for each of the players. Something doesn't add up....
  14. With respect to the DL, I understand why people are feeling concerned at the absence of a big push to get a DT this year. With that said, my hope is that the coaches are very encouraged by what they see with the young guys (i.e. the Davis twins) and are ok with waiting until next year to take another DT recruit. That is the best case scenario explanation for the lack of DT recruiting this year, and I think it is reasonable to conclude that is the thinking as opposed to the coaches just having forgot to seriously push for DTs, which they did not do.
  15. On a Periscope broadcast tonight before the basketball game, POB said KJJ was all N but he didn't know about Gebbia.
  16. My two cents: I believe there is a bit of circular logic that goes into recruiting rankings. While I have not collected and analyzed the data to prove it, I believe that if a kid is offered by a highly successful team (say Alabama or Ohio State) then there is a good chance his ranking will be adjusted higher. There is a certain logic to this, in that it is probably fair to say that Urban Meyer's or Nick Saban's staff are better evaluators of talent than a recruiting analyst at 247 or Rivals. But, this also means that Ohio State or Alabama have a higher ranked class because they're Ohio State or Alabama. Similarly, some schools haven't had the respect of Ohio State and Alabama but have recently had a lot of success. Michigan State has performed at a very high level the last several years with classes that have generally fallen outside of the top 25. Maybe the explanation is not that they have outperformed their recruiting classes, but that their recruits didn't get that Urban Meyer or Nick Saban bump when Mark Dantonio offered them a scholarship. This year Michigan State will end up with a class that is ranked around 12th in the country. Did they really sign a class that is far superior to their 2011 and 2012 classes that led their team to a playoff appearance this year? Or maybe players like Connor Cook and Shilique Calhoun were better than low three star players (or Jack Conklin an unranked player), but didn't get an bump in their ratings when Dantonio came calling but would have if Saban or Meyer had?
  17. Yeah, no kidding. It is possible. But kind of freakish bad luck though for the him, yes? Certainly considering that a serious injury seems at least slightly more likely on the football field as opposed to off of it. Get a grip.
  18. For an "off season" injury, from one tweet I saw. wtf....
  19. Very tired of the drama. Thankfully, whatever he decides, LB seemed to become a position of strength this year with the way D. Young and others played.
  20. Agreed. I'm hoping that a lot can be explained by 2015 being year one at a new team, installing a new system. I want to believe that has to be the worst year for play calling when you're learning your players and what will work and what they're capable of.
  21. I agree with that. Overall I'd say Langsdorf has a better resume than Beck in that specific regard, at least as far as grooming a proto-typical NFL-style quarterback. But then again, Langsdorf has been doing it for well over a decade with better prototype pro-style players, while Beck has been at it for a few years with mercurial dual-threat guys. The only thing I get tired of is the simplistic, "Beck sucks", "Watson was garbage" rhetoric. For whatever reasons, those guys oversaw the most productive players in school history at the three main skill positions, as well as notable success elsewhere (Beck at KU, Watson at Cincy). That says something at least. Our offenses have been good to great the last 8 years with the exception of 2009, which was a conscious decision by the head man. I'm excited for Langsdorf's potential going forward with our quarterbacks, with nothing negative to say about who came before him. Overall, our offense was once again, pretty damn good this last season, especially looking at the context of who we had on the field. Sorry, but Watson was/is garbage. He has one productive year in his history of coordinating, and that just so happens to be the year he showed up at Louisville and found he inherited a senior QB who went on to start in the NFL as a rookie. Then he moved on with Charlie Strong to Texas and led that offense to a significant regression and got fired mid-year in 2015.
