  1. This was brought up in the "UCLA..." thread, and I mentioned that I agree with this writer. Did anyone else watch the UCLA game? Rice is probably the worst team in D1 football, or at least is in the running for worst. That's who UCLA played, and UCLA looked mediocre. Rice was moving the ball well on UCLA until Rice's starting QB got hurt in the 2nd quarter. That's a bad sign for UCLA. Now it's just one game, and the first game under Mora at that, but NU might score 70 on UCLA if the teams play like they did.
  2. Game is on BTN replay today as well.
  3. The team gave up 20 points, but the defense only gave up 13. It's one of the reasons I'm not as concerned about the D as some posters are.
  4. Yeah, I hate it when the defense only gives up 13 points and 260 yards. Out of curiosity, what team do you root for?
  5. Taylor's 26-34 says hello. That's 74.5% for those of you keeping score at home. Now the question obviously is: can he maintain that over the course of the season? I think if he stays the course and continues to work on and perfect his footwork and mechanics then I see absolutely no reason whatsoever why Taylor can't be a 70% passer this season. FYI: 26 of 34 is 76.5%
  6. Man, Husker fans are hard to please. D made good halftime adjustments and only gave up 13 points the whole game. Offense rolled all day without our best player. Things are looking good. On another note, if UCLA doesn't get a lot better on defense, NU is going to score 70 on them.
  7. Alright, I'm putting away the computer - I can't watch the Huskers and post. Unless we're comfortably ahead, then I'll be back. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
  8. That PSU team has a lot of quit in them.
  9. your kool-aid glass is currently at 50% capacity? At least his glass isn't empty.
  10. Yep. There's also a thread in the Big Ten forum on the game.
  11. Looking good for the Bobcats. I think PSU will fold like a cheap suit if Ohio sticks in another TD.
  12. I'm rooting for Ohio in this one. But Solich's offense needs to seriously pick it up if they want a chance to win.
  13. This is not bad news. If he does not want to be here at NU, then he and we need to move on. Exactly. Good news, Husker fans!! That quitter Moore finally picked another school so we can stop talking about him.
  14. Maybe a little late now, but if you adjust the dish pointing to be max receive power before it rains, then I usually can still get satellite while the neighbor's is out. Haven't tried adjusting it in the rain though.
  15. Bell certainly looked great tonight. But he didn't look all that good last season. Let's see him against a few more defenses before making him an All-American. I'm guessing the next few teams load up and go after Bell on every play. We'll just have to see what MSU can do then.
  16. I'm seriously considering dropping paid TV if BTN isn't on Dish. It's just gotten too damn expensive for not much quality.
  17. My dad was just saying today that a good season by Solich sure does make Osborne look like he knew what he was doing.
  18. That's a big reason I think Sparty will lose 3-4 games this year. They'll wear Bell out riding him too much.
  19. MSU definitely looks beatable - even at home. QB will be better by 9th game when they play the Huskers though.
  20. Or BSU can play 10 yards off the receivers whn it's 3rd and 5.
  21. If BSU is smart they'll be looking for the INT with the MSU OC's risky 3rd down call.
  22. Well, looks like MSU is going to eke this one out. Good job by Bell going down inbounds.
  23. That boy's got a lot of quit in him. Shades of Joe Dailey. Two great references there. And on the eve of the USM rematch. +1
  24. Great timeout there by Dantonio. MSU's vaunted D needs to prove it here.
