  1. All we hear about is Lee and Ganz for the backup job. Am I the only one who think that Witt will compete quite well for the backup job?
  2. Callahan never played offensive line and Jay Norvell was a Defensive Back in college. I don't think having played a position dictates whether or not you can coach it, IMO. Sure, but it would be nice if they hired someone who has actually coached a football position, not a strength coach. While he was a grad assistant, he worked with the offensive line, he has also helped out there with OSU and he helped with special teams. This is the guy's first big shot at an assistant job, it's a calculated risk, yes, but Callahan must see something in the guy since he recruited him to Wisconsin, coached him there, then convinced the Eagles to sign him so that he could coach him there while he was a player. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on this one. We should all give the benefit of the doubt. You gotta catch a break somewhere in the working world, im sure we ALL did.
  3. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt and say they are being proactive.
  4. Glad i could clear things up. The volleyball team does wear black shorts. But is any male going to complain about ANY part of the volleyball shorts? I mean seriously.
  5. I think Pederson has the program headed in the right direction. While I may question some of his moves (who doesnt) he still has done a much better job then Byrne. Pederson knows how to make the money, and where to put it back. Hes a good business man and thats who id personally prefer to run the program.
  6. He could always play intermural basketball. I mean after all this is the Big XII brother, he needs to commit to one sport of the other (hint of sarcasm)
  7. If we reach that plateau and finish the season strong I think we will be in without a doubt. maybe if we are lucky enough we will host a game (ya never know.)
  8. I remember when Callahan first started people had a cow about the fact that he wore a black warmup suit on the field for pregame (cause previous coaches wore white or red.) I personally have no problem with black as an accent color, which as I look at the Husker polo I am wearing, black is one of the three adidas strpies. Oh well.
  9. Uh,... yeah. sCUm and Mizzery. Wait..... you're bein obtuse aren't ya'. You knew that dint ya. Boy did I bite on that troll. I really hate the off season.................. Actually I was asking if there were any Husker teams that wore black.
  10. I guess i dont know all the sports teams unis. Is there a team that has black as a main color right now?
  11. I buy mine from Huskers.com Theoretically they cannot sell out becaus any UNL student or staff with an ID gets in free, as well as anyone (6 and under i think) who is going to take the drug free pledge. I dont know how they would be able to "sell out" although a big concern is being at capacity i dont know how they would handle that.
  12. I thought I saw somewhere Carriker to the Broncos. Anyone else seen this?
  13. Season is off to a great start with our pitching (sarcasm)
  14. At Scheels in Lincoln they have Black jerseys with defensive players numbers (Carriker, McKeon, Moore were the ones I remember) and its not Nebraska fans that hate change, its Nebraska in general. That said, I am perfectly happy with the main base for our unis and really REALLY hate what Oregon has done to change expectations in college football. I wouldnt mind seeing all red one game a year, I think what A&M does is kinda neat. Just not every game, save it for special occassions.
  15. Number 2 on that list brings up an interesting fact about USC. They only get tested twice a year (us and Cal next year). It seems to me that the Weak 10 is part of the reason USC gets rated so highly, and yes I know they get recruits hand over fist but who are the up against in recruiting locally?
  16. Ruuds problem has nothing to do with what he does on field but what has happened off the field. I mean come on, how could his parents have an older sibling that was so good that Bo has to be compared to him. Shame on them Bo is a heck of a player, a little cocky off the field, but great on it. He just has to live up to big brother Barrets shadow. Thats a tough path to follow down in my opinion.
  17. Ive got a friend getting married on the same day as the Iowa State game this year. They have the right idea, TVs around the church and reception. Its not quite the same as live, but at least there wont be missing any action. Think they could squeeze the ceremony in during half time?
  18. The thing with Keller though, from what it sounds, is that he ran the offense quite well on the scout team against our Blackshirts. Hopefully he lights a fire under the receivers @$$es and they quit dropping balls. We won't know for sure until the spring game at the earliest, we'll just have to wait and see.
  19. I mean hey weve got an addition to pay for (sarcasm) We don't have the scrap to wear new unis every game ala the Oregon Ducks. Seriously though, have you seen some of those options? What the heck are they thinking? Glad Adidas sponsors us.
  20. Oh my god that is the funniest thing I have ever read. Dude, if youre not trying to just stir some sh*t up, whered you hear this? Sounds like someone is just trying to start a battle. To quote Joe Pesci from My Cousin Vinny "Im trew wit dis guy."
  21. Well my reliable source talked to him in class the other day and he said he was doing fine. Take that for what its worth. Can't we just leave the man alone?
