  1. That's terrible news. I hope he will be all right.
  2. I tend to agree. Those guys' jobs are to stir up controversy. I don't know that Mark May or Herbstreit believe half the crap they say.
  3. What neck of woods are you in? Folks around here were pretty fired up about ESPN in 2002. And just the other day my wife, an Ohio State fan, said she didn't like Herbstreit and didn't consider him a real Buckeye. Anyway, I have often seen GameDays where the fans boo when one of the commentators is talking. It's all part of the show. And I don't think it will be too hard for anyone to figure out what's going on if 10,000 newspapers raise up every time they cut to Herbstreit.
  4. Perhaps this fired them up.
  5. Not as scheduled according to this. St. Edward High School Mentor High School Toledo St. John Hudson High School Valley Forge High School Medina High School Lakewood High School Brunswick High School Elyria High School Solon High School The last one is on FSN Northeastern Ohio Not sure if they are in the same Playoff division.
  6. He's Thunder; Lucky's Lightning.
  7. Well he saw us pounding the rock according to HI: Rivals100 offensive guard Trevor Robinson was on hand for Nebraska's opening season win against Nevada on Saturday. Robinson, the nation's No. 2 offensive guard prospect, took an unofficial visit to Nebraska's home opener against Nevada. Robinson says that after his visit, he may not wait too much longer to make a decision. I'm sure there were plenty of folks on hand to point out the Michigan and ND scores.
  8. He has to ask himself if he wants to play for a team in decline or a team on the rise. ND and UM are obviously in decline.
  9. "The 6-foot-4, 222-pounder chose the Huskers over Oregon, Oklahoma, and others." It's all coming together.
  10. Scout has Arthur Brown narrowed down to 7 schools (not us), but I don't see an article about it. (Of course they also only show Kansas and KSU for Bryce.) Rivals still has us on both brothers.
  11. Also in on top RB Bryce Brown (probably a package with his brother Arthur a top LB recruit for '08).
  12. Foot injuries take forever to get over. I still have pain from my Lis Franc several years after spraining/breaking it. One reason I will be avoiding a certain RB from Seattle in my draft.
  13. I think he's going to be a very punishing and different kind of runner for us. You're right it will be very fun to watch. The guy is a horse. Who does he remind you of? A Michael Bush type maybe? At that weight? The Bus? Earl Campbell? I'm looking forward to seeing him run over some guys. I think he has good chance of being used this year. Glenn might be used in similar situations (short yardage), but since Glenn will need to be an all-around back this year, I could see Castille contributing in special situations. We know who 2 of the guys are. Who are the other 1-2?
  14. care to share your insight Yes, please share. I guess he means he's not the kind of TE everyone has been desperate for the past few years. We are probably doing pretty good on the big physical TE who only occasionally catches a pass, but is mostly just another OL. Might be we are holding a spot for a pass catching TE who can split the zone and keep the LBs honest.
  15. "Bigger" school? Doesn't he know we are Kings?
  16. does the name Ted Ginn Jr. ring any bells How about Steve Smith? I guess he's only 5-9, but no reason a shorter WR can't excel.
  17. That's not exactly a Blaine Gabbert attitude he's taking on there. scout had a follow-up interview after that article came out and they are saying that he is 100% committed and not to worry about it Good to hear. I'd hate to see him lose his best offer because he wasn't really committed.
  18. Oddly enough, today's Columbus Dispatch has a story about the Ohio State class of 2003 with 14 players including one 5 star, six 4 star players, seven 3 star players, a top 25 class. Four years later only 1 player remains. Two used all 4 years of eligibility, three left early for the NFL, two had career ending injuries, and seven left the program for other reasons. Included in that seven were four 4 star players.
  19. Did you check the top of the thread? Small but good looking highlights from 2006. Some nice returns. Also does video from the camps get posted. I know he participated in some. You might check rivals or scout for the Pittsburgh camp (I think). If he is on the TV here (he was last year), I will try to post something. Well his high school (Strongsville) is scheduled to be on FSN Ohio Northeast Game of the week on Thursday 10/25.
  20. Nevermind. He transferred to a much better team (he's the other Trotwood kid) which is favored to win the Ohio DII (second best division) title. I'll probably get to check him out on TV might even be on National TV as part of the OHIO USA challenge. I'll post more as I get details.
  21. What S or DB do we have rated higher? Or is it a LB potentially moving into that position (Brandon Magee)?
  22. Scout has his scheduled visits as: California 09/01/2007 Nebraska 09/15/2007 Michigan 09/22/2007
  23. Has visits set to Cal and Oregon according to Scout.
  24. If he keeps waiting for an Auburn Schoolie, he might just lose his one decent offer.
  25. Anyone know if we will offer Cole Pensick out of Lincoln NE for 2009? Scout lists him at C.
