  1. Sorry, brah. Every single bar in Lincoln is still loyal to the Big XII. Every single one.
  2. I've met one Iowa fan in my life. That being said, I couldn't care less about this new "rivalry".
  3. Met Miss World USA Lane Lindell downtown last night. So. Hot. Right. Now.

  4. Hey y'all. Just finished a paper looking at variables contributing to the success ofBCS programs for a research methods class. PM me if you're interested in taking a read!

  5. I think he has a Weiss-esque look about that (and by that I mean disgustingly slovenly).
  6. ...and "boom" goes the dynamite.
  7. Rittenberg: Such a nerd, but SOOO much less of a douche than David Ubben.

      NUance

Ha ha! My thoughts exactly. He did a GREAT interview with Crick. I'm already liking him better than Ubben the über-douche.

  8. I would hate to be this kid...mainly because I'd be going to school at IUPUI.
  9. I understand the theory of the importance of balance, but have never understood why so much stress is placed on two factors: ball control, offensive balance. If you score in less than two minutes, a la, Florida's "fun-n-gun" of the 90's (yeah, I know Nebraska friggin' smoked 'em, but they were pretty succesful during that span) and your defense is serviceable and conditioned, who cares how long you hold the ball for? Second, if you are able to average, like, 8 yards a rush like mid-90's Nebraska, why ever pass? I know that teams will load the box and then you have to pass, but in a hypothetical situation where you can win without passing or running at all, why would you ever go against what works? If some games you have to throw 50% of the time, do that; some games you throw 5% of the time, all the better. Striving for a certain balance seems good in theory, but can be awkward in practice when it's forced.
  10. GOTTA GET MY BOWL, GOTTTA EAT CEREAL!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I'm OK with this response. Often what the response is though is 'Taylor was a great passer. Look at these stats." Curious: How does everyone feel about Sam Keller, Niles Paul, Bo Ruud, or Corey McKeon? Complete tool, idiot, volleyball player a, volleyball player b That being said, I could care less about Martinez's production going down after he got injured. He was put into a bad spot where the coaches were putting him back in before he should have been playing IMO. What irks me about Martinez is his pretentious, punk kid attitude. The pouting on the sidelines, the "last question? PUUUUUUUUURRRFECT"/ gum chomping at his press conferences, etc. His whole demeanor is of a complete tool. The real irony that nobody EVER seems to bring up is the fact that in many cases we laud Burkhead (who was in the same recruiting class and is the same college year as Martinez) in the same manner. Burkhead appears to be everything that Martinez is not. Complete team player, gets along with teammates, happy , optomistic, and focused during interviews, does work in the community, AND produces on the field. Take a good, long hard look at these two guys next to each other; you can't even compare the apparent demeanor and character traits of the two. It's embarassing to put these guys in the same category. 2 things: I point out that Burkhead and Martinez are the same year to emphasize that Rex seemed to figure out how to get along and be not just a leader, but normally social human being pretty quick. Also, I'll be the first to admit that I am going off of what I see of these guys, which is very little. Burkhead could be a fiend and Martinez a saint...but I'm gonna go with no.
  12. I think that OSU will be in quite the quandry in regards to who they are going to start at the suspended positions for this game. You figure that the guys who start in the place of Pryor, etc. will have a pretty good rythm going after five games and inserting the suspended guys in, especially for such a big game could mess up the chemistry. If they wait a week, they could reinsert the starters for the Illinois game, then have a week off to assess how things worked before having to play Wisky. Then again, if the backups' play is merely pedestrian, maybe the choice to play the former starters is a no-brainer. Just seems like it might not be wise to mess up the chemistry for such a big game.
  13. Thank you! I mean, they might as well have Clowney for Nagurski, Turner for All Conference, and Starling for AA QB and Pitcher. The odds of correctly speculating on true freshmen is somewhere between winning the lottery and coming out ahead in blackjack.
  14. What else were you expecting I'll be posting some UFC pictures in early June when I get back from Vegas Good point. I should've expected nothing less when I saw the thread's author. Gotten thuper ripped from p-90x yet or did that go by the wayside? Been almost 2 months now. What? Also still wondering why you want to see my body so badly.....my boat don't float that way. BTW if you have nothing productive to say in this thread about the thread title than please leave and troll somewhere else. Thank you!!! Ok, I'll say somthing productive. Great seats, should get some good pictures. Lulz. http://www.greatseats.com/feeds/get_map.asp?id=114357&size=2 Also, just want to know if p-90 is worth it. If my boat were to "float that way" it would probably float for someone who actually opened the box. And yes this is me today: I'm done now

  16. Crowell will be a true freshman this year. This fact alone nullifies this list.
  17. Really wishes that the Watson stuff was actually funny.

  18. Talked about SMU scandal in PA Ethics today. Prof was visibily shanken by how cool I thought the situation was.

  19. I'd guess none of them. If it's not a trick question I guess Michigan who does well vs the SEC. Penn St had some close ones before they joined the suckhole. East OSU won a couple vs SEC-lite [Clemson and Miami]. http://www.pioneerlo...e-fine-.article And because Rudy was offsides
  20. How do you define the "'Southern way" and what is the problem with it? Too bad you didn't sign up for another board.
  21. My theory on this in all seriousness is that schools (in this case, Georgia) are making an effort to report a number of their secondary violations in the hopes that the NCAA or conference will figure, "hey, they self-report everything sketchy that they do, we don't have to monitor as closely" and then the schools will proceed to do even sketchier stuff that will, hopefully, go unnoticed. Either that or my school hired a new compliance officer who either needs to keep his mouth shut or needs to be fired.
  22. Sorry guys. Looks like the licensing issue is a little bit bigger than just Huskerboard.com. I can give a better account from my earlier "conversation" and feel free to PM me if you want to know more. Just to clarify though, nobody said "no" just to be a jerk; A LOT more would go into this than most people would think. If you want to blame anyone, blame capitalism or locusts or something.
