Yeah, do we have a goal for TOP? If so does an offense that YOLO bombs on 3rd and short get us to that number? Does it help keep the defense off the field and ball away from the other team? You may not score in every possession but the you had better figure out how long you want to hold the ball for and does your offense get you there.

Because we don't have an identity. If we don't have an identity, then we have no idea what our goal is. We just want to score points. That's like saying "I want to retire" but you don't have a roadmap for getting there or any idea what amount of money you need. That's a recipe for failure. We need a coach that knows what his identity is. I want to score X points and I want my defense to hold the other team to X points. Goals for TOP and an offense that marries with that goal and a defense that will coincide with that goal as well. We are so dis-jointed right now its unreal.

I agree. There were times when OSU had everyone on the line and just overwhelmed us. Eerily similar to what our defenses used to do in the 90's. Disrupt.

Not an ISU thing at all. I have my doubts about Prohm, we will see. I agree Matt Campbell looks to be pretty good, but lets look at the body of work here for football. Fires Dan McCarney to hire Gene Cheezedick who bounces after 2 years. Then hires Paul Rhoads who was abysmal. Then hire Campbell. I'm really not sold on that body of work. Some may, but Im not. Again, nice guy. But lets not pull another "he could do better with more support" hire. Not to mention he did have Cale Sanderson and Fred Hoiberg leave him. The Sanderson one really is a head scratcher. Hoiberg makes a little more sense because he left for the pro's but still makes me wonder.

I think you missed the point. Jamie Pollard has hired and fired more coaches than any AD I can think of. None of which have had any notable success. The two home-runs he had promptly left after having any success (Cale Sanderson and Fred Hoiberg) which leads me to believe something stinks there. Both sports ISU has been extremely successful in and you have hometown heroes who are doing well and they bounce? Again, nice guy. But just like MR, he has no track record of proven success. Hard pass.

Maybe we should take a page out of Iowa States book and place a middle linebacker on offense somewhere, that would help.
