  1. FYI, I checked my Dish Network guide this am, and it showed up on channel 5444, but in SD...
  2. If you have HD in your agreement, then yes the overflow channels will be in HD. THANK GOODNESS. Now, seeing as how I am still on the scout team with my 100th post, I can now really, officially, begin my next era on Huskerboard with extreme confidence and excitement for my ability to view my Huskers in stunning HD regardless of what all guides and schedules say at this point. The weight of my 101st post has now been lifted off my shoulders. I assume all those HDALT channels will begin filling up with our game and those of our B1G brethren in the coming days. *slightly nervous smile*
  3. thanks 118...that was what I was hoping, but it seems like there was a different story for people in Nebraska, people elsewhere in B1G territory, and then those of us stuck in the Sun Belt were left in limbo...I got BTN in January, so I have not seen how it actually handles gameday from a channel perspective. So, with this being my 100th post and all, I will proceed with confidence and excitement regarding my chances of getting our 1st two games in the comfort of my living room. The show's over now, people, time to move on... Wait, are those overflow channels in HD??? Oh crap. Shall I start another thread, or can the answer be found within this behemoth?
  4. Here's my question, at risk of being obliterated: If you live OUTSIDE of the Big Ten footprint, with DISH NETWORK, are you guaranteed to get the game? I have checked Dish's TV schedule, albeit it is early, and the Illinois game is showing on 439 and 440. It lists no other channels as of now. I have not seen anything concrete confirming subscribers like myself will get the game. I was not nervous until now...
  5. Living in Alabama, this is a great story to share with all my local Bammer friends. Of course, it should be noted that Nick has been witnessed berating officials and players alike on a consistent basis throughout his career. Surely the only reason he should get a pass for his behavior while Bo gets taken to task for the same could be traced back to East Lansing and Dr. Tom's passive aggression shown towards Saban during the monumental beatdown in the nineties?
  6. WOW. Amazing these clowns have intimate knowledge of TO's thoughts and feelings following all these key events in the Big 12. Nice job, ladies.
  7. Let me go on record saying I know exactly how you feel...I'm currently in Grand Bay (Just west of Mobile) smack dab in the middle of Auburn and Alabama nuts, I mean fans...Does anyone in SEC country have more than a 5 year memory? I'm still always having to educate folks here that football was actually played before 2004. Actually, I'll admit that football wasn't actually played in Nebraska IN 2004... Oh yeah, and we do have a Dreamland here...so if someone will hook me up with tickets, I'll bring the ribs...and some banana pudding for good measure. I am originally from Holdrege, and can attest to the suggestions given above...I will say Misty's is a must. What I would give to be able to get a decent steak or prime rib down here in "if it lives in the gulf, eat it" country. Are posts actually supposed to have any direction or serve a purpose? Or is rambling ok too?
  8. I'll take that...I'll still be surprised when its announced...but it sounds good...the whole "city" of wood river would be ecstatic, I'm sure
  9. College Football Rudy Awards...Alex was nominated by Bo. He is behind some dude from Alabama so far... Vote Here
  10. PLEASE...someone explain to me why the game is on in HD to 60% of the country FOR FREE, and then those of us who are PAYING $24 to watch it on GAMEPLAN have to watch it in SD?? Is Dish Network different, or is ESPN just screwing us?
  11. WAIT A SECOND...did I just see a pic of Bo hugging Pat Ricketts? Speaking of unhappy faces...I made a few watching number 28 a few years back!
  12. haha...Let me go on record and say that was NOT my intention!
  13. Yeah, Cody was one of my favorites from the Callahan error...I was thinking big with Lucky and Cody coming up together...still had a productive career despite the circumstances. It is a shame he ended his career the way he did, but I'm proud that he rebounded. Not sure I'd want to know why he was suspended... Hopefully, Robinson can assume the '06 Glenn MO...good speed and punishing runs.
  14. If you follow Cody's twitter account (txhusker34) he constantly mentions Nebraska or Husker fans, or being in Lincoln...despite being kicked off the team. That tells me, that he not only respects the decision of Bo, but he agrees with it. He obviously made a mistake and accepts that. He also seems to have no disconnect from the team or the University. I think that speaks volumes with regard to how the program is being ran. The other thing I notice, is he is best buds with Suh as they were constantly together this summer...but that's a whole different issue... Bottom line, I remember for some reason, Cody running over Iowa State in '06, and I really enjoyed watching him play LB in '08. I'm a fan, and I'm glad he's got it together in Indy. Once a Husker, always a Husker...unless your name starts with Bill and ends with Callahan...
  15. "Since December, when the referees (accurately) “put one second back” on the clock, you’ve become a loud, antagonizing, arrogant, ignorant, fact-ignoring, excuse-riddled shell of a program you used to be. You’ve become Oklahoma." I hate to bring this up, but how can they still say that was accurate? Official time is kept by the referee...the time superimposed on the replay was the scoreboard and/or ABC's clock...someone tell me how you can review what was happening on the ref's wrist...you can't. How do we even know that the clock sequence was matched EXACTLY with the action on the field?? What if the clock operator was off by a second on the previous snap? I mean, there are a ton of possibilities, and thats why you cannot put that second back on the clock based on a "review." If the ref would have ran out saying "HOLD ON!!!," based on his OFFICIAL time, that's one thing. But to rely on ABC for accurate time...that's the definition of getting screwed. The ref can put that second back on the clock, a potentially flawed replay cannot. Ok, I'm done...until I see that replay again...
  16. Just curious (that was funny, BTW), but do the fans of any of those Texas satellite schools realize this yet??
  17. Doesn't know if he has qualified yet, but it's obvious that he is very passionate about getting to campus. Loved his visit and his future teammates, more story later. Good deal...Thanks for the info!
  18. Has anyone read the story on Corey Cooper on Huskers Illustrated site "Cooper sees NU in different light?" Just curious what it says...I figure it talks about a great impression from the spring game, but don't know for sure. Hoping this "new light" is a positive light! Any info is appreciated.
  19. Any of you guys still here? The last reply was from 2008, I think...Just saw this thread...I'm in Grand Bay, by way of Holdrege, NE. Married into a Bama family, but have converted my wife and gotten all in-laws to at least be interested in watching the Huskers. Anyway, there's a few of us down here, and I see about 2 or 3 Husker fans/vehicles fairly regularly around Mobile...
  20. Awesome. I loved it. Anyone else get goosebumps?
  21. Mods, sorry for posting this again over in this forum, but I only got 24 views and 0 replies on the technology thread... That being said... Does anyone know a Cydia source for a Husker theme? Every other team has one except for us, it seems like. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Go Big Red!
  22. Sorry if this has already been addressed, but does anyone have or know where to find a Husker theme for a jailbroken iPhone? Seems like every other team is an easy find. I'm sure there is one out there, I probably just don't have their source info. Any help would be appreciated, as why else would I want a jailbroken iPhone if I can't install a husker theme on it?? Thanks and GO BIG RED!!!
  23. Wow...I very much hope they are right, but I am a little curious as to where that came from...How big is a Thursday Night game on ESPN? HUGE, apparently. It seems like that was a springboard to all the attention this week and hopefully beyond. Go Big Red
  24. Yep, names switched...gotta be. Of course, I noticed elsewhere they said Blaine Gabbert was injured last SATURDAY on a sack by Suh...so how closely is this thing being edited? Still, they need to print a retraction, as that could potentially affect some heisman voters! (Not me, of course, as I've voted like a thousand times for Suh!)
  25. From Page 12 of Sporting News Today, 10/14/09: Entering this season, Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh and Oklahoma's Gerald McCoy were neck-and-neck in their battle to be the No.1 Defensive tackle selected in the 2010 draft. At this point, McCoy is definitely ahead as Suh has struggled to produce consistently. Suh has the size, strength, explosiveness and athleticism to be an impact NFL player, but he has not been playing with passion in '09. If he does not crank up his intensity the rest of his senior season he is sure to slide down to the bottom of the first round. Former NFL socout Russ Lande evaluates college players for Sporting News Today. I generally enjoy Sporting News Today, but this is a total hatchet job on Suh!!!!! This guy is a moron, plain and simple. I suggest filling their inbox with disbelief.
