  1. My wish list for NCAA is to completely steal the engine from Madden, which is leaps and bounds better at authentic football. Seriously, there is just SO much wrong with the NCAA series gameplay-wise (not saying Madden is perfect but it's making big strides) that I can't even bring myself to type everything out. More than anything though, there is a thing in real life called momentum, it would be nice if it was in the game as well.
  2. Can't stand him after what he pulled with the NB/Cincinnati fiasco. What he deserves imo.
  3. No, only Suh's jersey has been retired not his number. It's just an acknowledgement of his outstanding career at NU. Tommie Frazier had his jersey retired, but players can still wear #15. Only #60 (Tom Novak) and #64 (Bob Brown) are retired numbers. Actually I believe they re-retired #20 in memory of Johnny Rodgers last year. Not sure on that, but Burkhead was 20 in high school and switched to 22, and Kunalic switched to #1.
  4. Just an add-on, although they will be selling various bundles and such for people who already have PS3's or Playstation Eyes, or who have neither.
  5. It's a shame that the NCAA series is absolute drivel compared to Madden.
  6. Jackson was still coming off of some kind of an injury (I think it was a broken hand but I can't remember). As far as Lucky, I was remembering mostly the first quarter, in which he played really, really well.
  7. Anyone got relative numbers compared to 2008 when we sold out? How many tickets were sold with this much time left? I think it will happen if it's a nice day.
  8. Way to shamelessly plug your site! Excellent work in that regard.
  9. No matter what game, there will always be people trying to sell tickets, holding on to their high asking prices until they get nervous that they won't be able to sell them. You might get lucky and have someone start breaking a sweat 15 minutes before kickoff, or you might have to wait, but there will always be tickets available.
  10. Didn't he still have a broken arm or hand? At any rate, Lucky was absolutely tearing it up in that game, and B-Jax got his touches as well. We did a lot wrong in that game, but the runningback distribution wasn't part of it. People have pretty selective memory. Keller was the better quarterback that year, in my opinion. Ganz came in and threw the ball all over the place and got some yards, but: a) we were always down big, and throwing it every down B) he had a lot of touchdowns, but had a lot of interceptions too (Ganz lost us the Colorado game) c) the Kansas State game was just as much Joe Ganz' "skill" as it was Callahan trying to rack up as many points and yards as possible. 2008 Ganz > 2007 Keller, but I don't think 2007 Ganz was good enough, but who knows?
  11. If you're worried about ticket prices, just go buy some outside the stadium. Ticket prices will always go down to below face value, as long as you are willing to wait long enough (you will probably miss the tunnel walk and possibly kick-off).
  12. The main points of what I believe have already been posted, so this is all I have to say in support of our defense being better last year. People keep referring to last year's defense as one of the best they have ever seen. What were our expectations before the season? The first two years under Bo, the defense has performed substantially better than anticipated, and I think that will continue to be the trend. The only other thing I have to say is that another year of progression under Pelini Bros. system, in my opinion, will completely negate and maybe even over-compensate for any drop-off the defense might have because of graduating players.
  13. People seemed pretty confident in the ability to make a national championship game before the 2007 season...
  14. How can someone be overrated if nobody rates them highly? Not even the biggest sunshine pumper will call Helu "great" or "elite", only really good.
  15. It's just like the first round game, ESPN2 said they were going to show "wrap-around" coverage of first round games, ie, they would switch between games often, but 90% of the broadcast was the Texas vs. whoever game.
  16. Why does everyone forget that the 2008 spring game did in fact sell out?
  17. Nah, other schools have caught up to us. Even though Alabama and Ohio State either let people in for free or don't charge near as much, they get more people and to the outside world they trump us. That's ok though, it's still an incredibly valuable recruiting tool.
  18. We came close last year, but we did in fact sell it out the year before.
  19. I think it's actually a mouse-hovering issue to be honest (with the box becoming larger and sliding down the screen after being clicked). Not sure on that though, also depends on the browser.
  20. How far down the coast are you going? Naples, CA (basically Long Beach) has these really neat canals, and they even offer gondola rides. I surprised my girlfriend by showing up when she was out there two summers ago and took her on one, she loved it.
  21. That was a minor side issue, his biggest gripe was just the lack of service period, which is a valid point.
