Those Missouri Black and grey helmets are nice, but the uniforms as a whole were so incredibly terrible. As far as our uniforms, I am a big, big fan of full-length socks (white socks with away uniform, red socks with home). I also liked the all-whites vs. Colorado in '07, not necessarily because of the jersey and pants being the same color, but because of the full length socks, and because of the white shoes/gloves with red trim, much improved over the blacks and greys.

Do you know him that personally or something? Has he talked to you? Confided in you? None of us knows whats going on in these very young men's heads, and why or how they are doing it. You could be one of these kids parents and still be surprised by their decision. Posts like this annoy me because its assuming, and projecting, an awful lot on to a person. Just Saying The answer to the first three is yes..

He's also really interested in pursuing an acting career, fwiw.

Anyways, I love our uniforms now, but I also love a lot of other uniform designs, and I don't see how they are any better or worse than each other (not saying that all uniforms are good..), but just different.

Upgrade to something like titanium? If NU were to change of their look it certainly wouldn't be an upgrade. Right, because our uniforms now have reached the absolute maximum potential of how good a uniform can possibly look.

Being back isn't about any of those things. It's about a mindset, and a perception.

Physically speaking, he has unbelievable balance. He always forward after getting hit, and the reason is because he can feel which way the defender is attacking his body, and has the ability to adjust in an opposing way that allows him to still make forward progress. It's an art form, and it is so much fun to walk. Besides that, he plays with a low pad level, and has good acceleration going into the hole so he is already full speed or close to it. But his greatest attribute, in my opinion, is his heart for football, and his unyielding effort.

Why does everyone seem to turn this into tradition and being uber awesome vs. being a bad program and trying to come up with an alternative to be noticed? New uniforms can just be, you know, new uniforms. I have no problem with our uniforms now, but if we upgraded to something, I wouldn't have a problem with the idea (who knows if I would like them or not, but teams upgrade their uniforms, it's part of sports). Sometimes I feel out of place as a Husker fan, trying walking on the ground while the majority are up on their high horses.

Once again, money and success are dead last on Prince's priority list. Right now he is in Denver attending conferences, speakers and events about how to become a better man of God and how to live his life for Jesus. The guy absolutely loves being in college and loves the lord even more, and if decided to leave for the NFL it would be because of something other than the money.

If you ask me, he spends a lot of the time just overpowering offensive linemen, but only because he can get away with it. Once that doesn't work, there is no doubt in my mind he will find something equally effective to do in order to get penetration. Oh, and you will never, ever, see a 6'4" 300 pounder with the agility, speed and footwork that Suh has.

I think Bo is here to stay.. like, for good.

Prince is a respectable kid, and has God as his #1 priority, and knowing a him a bit personally I really doubt that this will end up happening, money and success are the last of his priorities.

More than anything, as a person Mike Leach does not fit in with the culture at Nebraska, and has been critical of the very same culture in the past.

How do you figure? NU finished 9-3 (9-4 after the CCG, which UA didn't play in one) and UA was 8-4. Two of their losses came to teams playing in BCS bowls (compared to our 1), and they have wins over #16 Oregon State, #19 Stanford and #18 (at the time) USC. Their worst loss of the season is against either Cal or Washington, who are both seemingly a heck of a lot better than Iowa State.

The Lincoln Southeast high school band is currently learning Hail Varsity, There Is No Place Like Nebraska and one other (help me out someone?) song and is going to be playing at the bowl game.
