  1. He committed to Iowa last night. Not too surprised. Most likely he would never have seen the field at Nebraska. With Ganz, Lee, and Witt, it would take a heck of a lot for a guy to come in and start over them. At least at Iowa he may get to play. I'm not too worried about getting a QB this class, but we could really use a stud for the next class.
  2. Why the infatuation with Frost? I mean I love the guy, one of my favorite Huskers, but how do you know he would be a good coach?
  3. TO won!!! Even though all it means is that we have nothing better to do than stuff ballots, it is nice to see him get that recognition.
  4. #1 Reason our coach is better than your coach: Multiple Bogasms
  5. below Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Okie State, and possibly Colorado. I wouldn't be surprised if we're picked 7th in the B12 (this is just preseason, I truly believe we will be much higher at the end of the year).
  6. Bolini...mmmm. Just saying it gave me another Bogasm.
  7. I feel your pain. For a while I was glad he wasn't being mentioned, as I assumed that meant he was just higher up the list. Now it's pretty clear that the best player on the greatest team of all time is going to get snubbed. BTW, Chris Fowler has in the past said the Tommie Frazier is the best college QB he had ever seen.
  8. Of course he is! Did you not realize this yet? Ok, ok, here... let me break it down for you-- Bill Callahan = BC BC = Before Christ There fore -- Bill Callahan came Before Christ Bo Pelini! = The One! Funny, but it breaks down because we all know that TO is the Christ. And his 2nd coming has now taken place. Pedey and Cally are the Anti-Christ and his prophet. Bo must be the messenger of our Savior.
  9. He'll get his shot at being Nebraska's DC in 5-7 years when TG takes over for Pelini as HC.
  10. Callahan won't get hired as a head coach for a while. He'll go be offensive coordinator somewhere, have some success, then get hired by a Louisville or Rutgers type program.
  11. I don't think Touchdown Tommie will be in the top 2...It has got to be between Red Grange, OJ and Barry Sanders. I'm also surprised that a couple other Huskers didn't make it, esp Dave Rimington or Tom Novak.
  12. Doesn't sound all that exciting...4.8 forty? It is hard to see where he fits in. Oh well, just have to trust Our Savior Tom Osborne.
  13. I'm sure Bo will contact him, and the fact that we aren't changing Offensive Coordinators sure can't hurt.
  14. I would highly doubt that any recruits de-commit from LSU to come to DONU (though that would be awesome!). Mainly because I don't think Bo will attempt to get them to change. I think he will do a great job maintaining our current class, and may get some of those who left (Gabbert, Gray, Mohler) to come back.
  15. The B12 title game has hurt the conference more than helped IMO. However, imagine if OU hadn't screwed the pooch vs. TT...North vs. South to see who plays for the MNC? That would have been serious drama...and that really is the potential for the conference.
  16. That made me want to strap on the pads and get to work!
  17. Iowa Notre Dame Michigan Ohio State Miami/FSU/Florida Georgia (i can't remember ever having played them) USC Alabama BYU (I would love smashing the Fightin' Mormons) Boston College (New England is beautiful in the fall)
  18. Several posts have mentioned Ganz's interceptions as reason he may not be "the guy" next season (I myself in fact have blamed him for the loss at CU in another thread). However, I truly believe that the running game will be signifcantly improved and the focus of the offense. Thus, the passing game will be opened up and Joe won't have to make so many tough throws with 8 guys in coverage. I think he will have a great year next year.
  19. Definitely agree...although I wouldn't be surprised if, with a modified O, Lee or Witt make a competition of it.
  20. I met Lil' Red for a beer down at Lazlo's last night. He told me he really likes you and respects your opinion on a lot of things. I think he'd be sad to hear you don't like him. sorry, I didn't mean to offend him, I'm sure he is a nice guy. I just think he's a bit out of place on the football field. What would Grant, Christian and Jason think?
  21. Overall, the Big 12 is getting stronger, and may well be the toughest conference next year. This year the conference is great at the top (OU, MU, KU, UT) but not so great after that. With DONU improving (I see us winning at least 8 games next year), CU will be tougher as they don't lose many players, TT and aTm will be decent and who knows with OSU and KSU, but that gives the B12 8-10 potential top 25 teams. Though it won't happen because they'll beat each other up a bit, the schedules will be tough, not to mention the way ISU has shown improvement.
  22. I actually like the new Herbie. I really hate Lil Red though. I think he is an embarassment.
  23. I'm guessing TO's son knows just as much about who the next coach is as the rest of us do.
