  1. Manning, Betts, Toure, Allen That’s as good of a top 4 receiving group as I’ve ever seen at NU.
  2. Stille, JoJo, Williams, Dismuke (if I'm not missing any starters). I've watched all the games but it doesn't seem JoJo and the safeties are near the plays as much as they have been. Which of course can mean they're being schemed away from. Can anyone give insight on how those three are actually doing this year?
  3. I don't know kicking at all. I know he was the B1G kicker last year and had a great rate. But even last year his kicking looked wonky. The ball wouldn't rotate correctly and (perhaps because of that) it would have weird trajectories. But he almost always squeaked them in anyway. So I felt he was pretty lucky. If I had to guess, he's just getting the results he should atm.
  4. I’m really happy to have receivers for once. Sorry, but chalk me up as someone not very impressed by any receiver we’ve had since Enunwa and Bell (Westerkamp would have been a great utility WR who plays in the slot and who you scheme coverage off of, but was forced into our X/Y positions later in his career; Robinson is also a great utility player when used correctly… which means not constantly jammed up the gut). Betts is flashing great ability playing the ball downfield. Manning’s true potential is still unknown because of limited opportunities, but he has been too-notch on all his targets this year. Toure is a bit more limited than them but is a freaking stud. I would take any of them over anyone since the Enunwa/Bell duo. Hopefully Manning and Betts hit their grooves. Then add in Martin and a splash of Brown. Great top 5. Our OL needs blown up. This is the most disappointing position group of the Frost era. I really thought this current group of guys would be better than this. Completely lost. Even announcers are always dunking on them.
  5. I’m dumbfounded by how bad our OL is in all our games, whether it’s Oklahoma or Illinois. Most of these guys seemed like great prospects: Corcoran, Jurgens, and Benhart in particular; and Piper seemed super solid with a lot of strength and awareness. I know all 5 besides Jurgens are young and most are inexperienced, but their issues go beyond inexperience. They play soft and without intelligence. Being tough and smart is the definition of a good OL. What the hell happened with their development in these two areas? Also, he may have a Steinkhuler mentality to the idea, but I wonder if the Polar Bear would be open to moving to be a long term OG? We have no good long-term prospects there, and we need a nasty fighter at OG.
  6. I just don’t understand how we always have teams with such low collective football IQs. Why field that kickoff? It seems like 1/3 of our first snap of offensive drives result in a timeout or false start. How does that happen?! No other team I’ve seen does this consistently.
  7. Toure is the real deal. Gotta feed him the ball until teams key in on him. Manning and co better be ready when they do. I’ve been so excited for some of the bigger, stronger players to make their mark. Some of our Olineman, a lot of our Dlineman, and so on. Unfortunately, we don’t have a strong or agressive team.
  8. Luck is preparation meeting opportunity. We have the longest running streak of “bad luck” I’ve ever seen. We’re talking years.
  9. The point is there’s an emphasis on locking down your radius. No team doesn’t make this an emphasis.
  10. Every team will want to recruit closer to ground zero than not. It’s not racial.
  11. Campbell nor Stoops would take this job for $20m/yr.
  12. And I don’t want to hear that it is because he is struggling to learn the offense, because that’s actually a requirement to start here.
  13. I learned that it’s truly over (for being a national presence anymore). Don’t need to go into specifics like these anymore.
  14. Anyone with critical thinking skills won’t take this job. And even then it will possibly take a (closer) Nebraska fanatic to take the job. Come on down, Jason Peters! No resume required. (Because you’re the only applicant.)
  15. What are these horses you speak of? We are no longer recruiting better than Wiscy and the like. (I feel like we never did, forget scouting sites and their team kings, B1G teams probably had better evaluation skills than we had.)
  16. With Riley’s last season, the feeling of hopelessness was for the regime. With this regime, because we threw the kitchen sink at our problems and still suck even worse, the hopelessness is now for the future of the team.
  17. Conclusive to probably all non-Nebraska fans. I, and surely some Huskers fans, have still been hoping beyond reason that he’d make a 180. But at some point we have to acknowledge the elephant in the room.
  18. I’m left with sadness. What the hell else does this state have?
  19. I’m scared of theinute possibility that literally no current coach would take the job and we would have to hire Husker fanatic Jason Peter. A new Husker legend as coach. But this time, with no resume!
  20. We wouldn’t even be a stepping stone to any candidate with good decision making. We’d be seen as a wrong turn.
  21. We could offer him $20M annually and he would still laugh us off.
  22. Problem is we might be the most unattractive job in the country: Hard recruiting Horrible mess to clean up Higher standards than results for +20 years If we hire a new HC, no matter who it is, I’ll question their decision making.
