  1. Yeah, seriously! Think of this D... Big Boys: Josh Williams, Ankrah, Kevin Young, Thaddeus Randle, Jared Crick, Terrance Moore, and others on our Dline Backers: Compton, Williams, Blake Lawrence, Sean Fisher, Austin Stafford.. Secondary: Washington, Bryd, Green, Gomes, Martinez, PJ Smith, Alfonzo Dennard...and maybe Whitmore will be able to make it? Like I said...we have got the potential to be stellar on D, with some great depth! Stafford is no longer on this years roster.
  2. Now that puts an interesting twist to it.
  3. Maybe...if Bo was the Defensive Coordinator.
  4. Eh last Guru said we would get Alex Logan and Gabe Lynn. Hopefully he is right That Guru gave the info right before we got pounded by OU. A drubbing that bad was bound to change a few minds.
  5. Who could blame him. Get the guaranteed millions before the NFL institutes a salary cap for rookies.
  6. I believe Hoke decided to move to the warmer climes of San Diego.
  7. ...continues with this article. Note, we are the only one listed without school Logo. Pure hate I tell ya. LOL Link Edited: for those that need sarcasm spelled out for them.
  8. I'm pretty sure Charlie Weiss already has that position.
  9. Is this a good opportunity for Gill...yes. BUT, if I were him I would be very wary of how they handled the firing/resigning of Tubberville. Big red flag in my book.
  10. What, you couldn't have put the teams they signed with?!?! kidding...Thanks for the info.
  11. It is more of a popularity contest. An award given to players who can amass gaudy stats and by that definition eliminates any player not touching the football on a regular basis...it should go back to what it was, an award given to the best player in college football. Isn't it a curse anyway. How many Heisman winners lately have gone on to have stellar NFL careers? Kiss of death in my opinion.
  12. With the rise in popularity of Turner Gill, I've run across more than a few threads on this board that speculate if the Ohio State position opened up Bo Pelini would jump at the chance of getting hired on as head coach. When he has great success at NU, why do some assume that this would be the natural progression for his career. Granted, he played ball there...but is there something said or implied that I've missed or is it all just speculation?
  13. I'll say Georgia Tech. Of the teams that we would likely play, they are the highest ranked.
  14. I expected him to win 10 this year. Glad to see that NU was only 2 plays away from that. Good job this year, next year should be great.
  15. I prefer to call it Southern population Exactly.
  16. I totally agree. He reminds me of Wes Welker. He is a great kid too. Wes Welker has to feel like the most special white guy in football. If you are white and show any hint of athleticism, you are automatically compared to Welker. LOL, so true. He took the 'Athletic White Guy' crown from Ed McCaffrey and never looked back.
  17. They'll learn next time and just omit NU as an option.
  18. Exactly what I was thinking.
  19. So, any idea's on where he'll end up?
  20. Not so much a wish as it is a drunken observation.
  21. Problem with this is only 1 SEC or B12 team in the playoff? Doesn't really reflect who the best teams are and thats what a playoff should do. If CFB ever does get its head out of its a$$ a have a playoff I'd send the wife and kids to grandma's and watch nothing but...... I totally see where you're coming from, the same point is made when discussing this with my friends. Then I counter with, win your conference and all will be well...back and forth, back and forth. Then we reach the conclusion that there are just TOO MANY low quality teams in Div I and that a restructuring is needed.
  22. Always a fun topic. -I would take all 11 conference champs plus 1 at large bid.(Big XII, SEC, ACC, Big 10/11, CUSA, MAC, WAC, BIG East, MWC, SB) -If Notre Dame would like to participate, they would need to join a conference. -Computer and Human polls would determine at large bid. Tournament field would use same system for seeding purposes. -Top 4 teams receive bye week. -Pairings: 1-4 bye, 5v12, 6v11, 7v10, 8v9 -First round played at home field of higher seeded teams. -Second round played at BCS bowl locations, 1-4 v winners of round one. -Third round played at BCS bowl locations. -Championship Game. 6 BCS locations will be needed so 2 will need to be added (Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar, Cotton, Gator) Championship Game locations could be played at any of these on a rotating schedule or possibly a larger venue. (unused NFL stadium) All other preexisting bowls can invite any team not involved with the Championship (ala NIT).
  23. A testament to the fluidity of the recruiting process. LH was kind enough to share info which at the time may have been correct. No need to slam him for how it turned out.
