  1. Well, we were down by 2 at the half, and Cally called the plays in the second half and we were shut out in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
  2. I think a sign of the times moment is when you watch Big and Rich's "Coming to your City" on ESPN Game Day and they don't mention Lincoln. That is just WRONG.
  3. I'm thinking with Michigan's turn-around, they won't be replacing Carr soon, and Les Miles is the Media's pick to replace him anyway. I still think Bo would choose NU over LSU. I hope he gets the chance to choose.
  4. and you can through Mark May on that list. What does he bring to the table? NOTHING. He is more biased than any of them.
  5. Will Shields OL coach Jason, and Christian Peters, and Grant Wistrom DL coaches WHat the heck...
  6. You sound like the THOUSANDS of OU fans that disowned them until Stoops' second year. You are a Band Wagon jumping Front Runner. There are plenty of Loyal Husker fans that wear their team colors with Pride, WIN OR LOSE... Come on, buck up and wear it. I put my car flag out AFTER the OSU game, and I live in Freaking Oklahoma. (with the f'n hillbillies)
  7. This is the saddest subject matter I have ever read and posted a comment to.
  8. yeah..some of my co-workers were talking about Deleo the other day... I didn't know any details or anything so I just kept my mouth shut. Since nobody seemed to know at the time what the guy did They actually started speculating the SP was gay and Deleo was on his payroll for, well... use your imagination. Better still don't just leave that sentence unfinished. They were actually serious too. I would think if half of everything I hear about SP is true, I'd be pretty freaked out working for him to. I have to assume it must have affected Callahan and his staff to some degree. I'd have been freaked if it were me. Aniehoo.... But don't you think Callahan and Staff would have been celebrating SP's dismissal. Instead "“I would welcome anyone who’s going to be in that leadership position and be my immediate supervisor,” Callahan said. “I’ve got tremendous respect for whoever’s at the helm." (His name is Tom Osborne)
  9. Can't wait to hear the Truth once this all boils over. Probably won't be able to comprehend what that team is going through.
  10. Now that's a good idea How do you play. Take a Drink everytime Callahan stretches his mouth on National TV...?
  11. Now I'm really pissed. That link had a link to CoachCallahan.com and in it he lists the "Traditions" and it almost looks like the ones he can affect, he has. Except for consecutive Sell-Outs. I hope the Kstate game is packed with people standing in line for tickets. Don't let the weasel tear down another Tradition... What an annoying website. That sliding thing with the Bowl game covers is retarded at best.
  12. I haven't read all the reply's so please forgive me if this has been said. I believe that if Nebraska continues to get waxed every week for the next 4 weeks, that BC will have essentially buried his coaching career. Honestly what team college or pro would take a chance on him as a HC or OC? Especially if his track record has him bringing down the Raiders then 1 of the historical powers in college football. No owner or university is going to want that type of publicity. This being said I wouldn't doubt if we get waxed byt Texas this week and get waxed again by Kansas next Saturday that he offers up his own resignation to salvage what's left of his coaching career. GBR!! Maybe he will go to NFL Europe to escape the Husker Fans, because WE ARE EVERYWHERE...
  13. To make that promise to your 2nd stringers when they go to Iowa State is one thing, but to promise that against Nebraska is a huge insult. I hope our guys punish that 2nd string and gain MO and play hard against the 1st stringers. MAKE'M PAY...
  14. Great question. It is, of course, impossible to answer. That said, our best shot is at a great coach (and he is that) that is not currently either well known or at a great program. Expecting coaches from LSU, Georgia, Boise State or any of another 30 -35 programs, all of which are superior to the NU program (at the moment) is unlikely. Why take a step down? But perhaps the best coach out there is Johnson and he is at a program, that while on the rise and solid, is no better than the NU program. Perhaps he would see it as a temporary lateral move (likely for more money) with a greater potential future upside. Maybe we have a shot at this guy. If so, do backflips of joy. He is a great coach (I know of him well from his Georgia Southern days --- great man, excellent motivator, endlessly inventive --- we could, literally, do no better). Thanks for that uplifting review of the Nebraska Athletic Program... We could get a coach from just about ANY school, with contracts being a catching point, with TO in the AD seat. Schools like NU, USC, The Ohio State U, Alabama, OU and Texas are DREAM JOBs. You think a coach at Boise State wouldn't give his left nut to coach at Nebraska? You think Bo wouldn't leave a DC position at LSU to be HC at Nebraska. In my opinion, you are incorrect.
  15. Read that also...Myth Busted! So much for that connection to the athletic department... I read that this morning as well. Looks like I'll have to stop getting tidbits of info from him. Embarrassing! Sounds like your friend has a future in Politics, like working in the White House and Leaking info to the press.
  16. I think Bo would stay at a Tradition Rich program if he got it rolling again. Why would you walk away from that?
  17. Shut the F up you little twit. Support your team or shut up. Just cause we aren't performing now doesn't mean you gotta go trash talking the football. Its what pulls Nebraska together You think people give a crap about the beef or corn? No, its all about the 1 nationally recognized thing we do have, football. And we ARE damn good at it, but we are just struggling right now. Its people like you who give our fans a bad name. Common! wow...I got off a little there. Chill. I don't think ANYBODY else on this subject thought he was TRASHING our program.
  18. Maybe Cally is hoping for Coach of the Year "I’ve done an excellent job in every area. It’s hard for the media to know, but what we’ve done off the field, and what we’ve done on the field. I think it’s well-documented,” Callahan said. If he says that line enough, maybe he thinks people will start believing him and they will vote for him...
  19. He wouldn't be hired to coach at the University of Tulsa at that rate and Tulsa is a bottom feeder, but they get coaches that COACH and get an effort out of their players. They got beat pretty good by OU this year, but watching the game, it seemed tight because those undersized and over-matched Tulsa players fought til the end.
  20. I don't care what anybody says, I like the way you think... Go Big Red and Bring back Bo to restore the Black Shirts...
  21. Yeah, lets get Ralph and Mike Brown too, and while we're at it, see if Grant can play. That will get he D fired up... (i know, nobody likes a smart ass.)
  22. 3 times he broke 100 yds rushing this season nevada, ball state , Iowa state........he was held to under 50 yards by usc, a&m.... held to under 70 yards by mizzou and okie state........... had 1 game that he went over 100 yards recieving and that was a&m only game he had over 80 yards recieving was ball state the rest he had under 50 yards recieving.............he hits any resemblance of a hole with trepidation and fear.......and all year long castille has made him look average............it is the ugly truth...........I like Marlon ........I do, but this has been a bad year and he even admitted preseason he has not lived up to his billing.....hence the number change..........................................hell Nate Swift and Barry Turner are my favorites and both are having sh**ty years That's what I see too. He looks good against average teams. He is too hesitant. Awesome in the open field catching a pass. That isn't a slam on Marlon at all. Just because you are rated high by the recruiting experts doesn't mean you ARE that good. I agree with an earlier post that he would have been a great wing back. But I like the freshmen backs. Shows alot of promise for the next few years, especially if our recruiting class isn't that great in 2008.
  23. Do you think that Callahan was yelling? Well, just wait until Pellini gets here. You'll see some yelling like you've never seen before. LOL I thought you were leaving. Well, didn't you say you were not a Husker Fan anymore?
