I see it being a big risk. In some situations it could be really good to tell a kid (and parents) that they will a scholly for years no matter the situation. On the other side, it hurts the program with the inveitable of losing a certain percentage of your recruiting class, and not being able to replace the prospect. For Nebraska, I could see it killing the walk-on program. If your big pitch to give up a scholly to UNK, NW Missouri St, SDSU, etc is that if you work hard and get on the field that in 2-3 years you could be seeing a scholarship. If you have all your money tied in multi-year scholarships, there will be none to give walk-ons.

Finish 2nd in the conference by 1 or 2 games......2nd or 3rd in the tournament......and complain for a year about not making NCAAs as the 2nd best team in the conference. There is no reason this team (in this conference) should not be completing for the title.

I was told by a former player that making South Stadium (boxes/jumbotron) similar to North Stadium was the next thing on the list after the current project is completed. It won't add too many seats, but wil provide higher revenue.

I noticed the sky cranes too, scattered all over downtown Lincoln (kinda looks like aliens attacking the city when I fly back into Lincoln at night).....any ideas what the others are for. I heard rumors of a few hotels going up along with some parking garages.

One thing that has always puzzled me is end of game situations (across all of College Basketball-not just NU). Consistanly I watch guys in the last 1-2 minutes of the game do things that just don't seem rational. Kids in HS these days play ball year-round and I know some of them will play 60+ games over summer break but seem to forget what to do at the end.

Nebraska played a bball game for 39:30 mintues......its that last 30 seconds

Not that I saw.....they showed him right before half, sitting on the bench wearing a warm-up top, and if you looked closely you could see him shaking his head, nice!
