The conference changer will be Osborne. He had the wisdom to hire a defensive minded coach in the teeth of an offensive explosion in the Big XII, then had enough sense to keep Watson on the staff no matter which coach was hired. BRILLIANT! Touche'! Great thought and reply!

Or moreover a Conference changer. I was talking with some football friends at work and one of them (an SEC fan) said that NU's defense was the best in the Big 12. We talked some more and I got to thinking: Will Bo Pelini's attitude and focus on defense make the rest of the Big 12 change their philosophies on defense. I realize that it is early, but I wonder if other Big 12 coaches will eventually think "Hey, if we want to compete with NU we better start getting better on defense." I remember back in the day when the SEC was known as the "offensive" conference and the Big 12 was the "defensive" conference. Now those roles have reversed. Is NU on the cusp of getting back to a dominating, lights out defense and will it change the Big 12? Just wondering.

My brother had to listen to the game during the fourth quarter last night! ( ) He said that the Mizzery radio folks were wondering why NU didnt line up in a 2 tight set earlier. I would have liked to see the Huskers try and run more power football early. (of course, thats why I get paid the big bucks to sit here and type things on a message board and not be a highly paid OC somewhere) Wonder if we will see more if it? Why does SW insist on running that dad gum stretch play or what ever it is to the short side of the field! Personally, I hate that play!

Because my Huskers FINALLY won,on the road,against a ranked opponent, while playing like crap and kind of reminding me of the old Blackshirts! I was so disgusted for almost three hours, then for 30 minutes it was like Christmas morning all over again! Emotions like that make it hard for me to sleep!!!!

And I dont agree with that. It was the right call to punt. What happens if the snap gets fumbled or you get thrown for a loss? Right call and I still belive!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! Somebody close this thread immediately! It has an idea that might actually cause change. And all change that doesn't include pennies, nickles, dimes, or quarters is horrible! What if they glued pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters to their helmets? Would that be ok? If they put them on the back of the helmets, we would have more quarterbacks!!!

Arkahusker, what up? I live close to Searcy. Nice to have you aboard. ASU will be a tougher opponent that FAU. I ahve seen several of thise Red Wolves kids play in HS and they were very good atheletes. Lets not forget that ASU is not afraid to take it ot a BCS team. I think in the end that talent and depth take over and the Huskers roll. Pour me another glass of Peliniaid with a dash of freshmen kool aid!! They definitely aren't afraid to take on a BCS team, but just how impressive was their win against Texas A&M last year? A&M proved to be a fairly poor team. ASU ended up going to Alabama later in the year and getting blown out 35-0. Definitely not saying I think ASU is a bad team, and I do think they'll play us tougher than FAU did, but I expect the game to go similarly as it did with FAU. I agree. I was telling some guys at lunch that I think it will be lcose for a half and tehn the speed an talent of the Huskers will pulls away starting in the third.

And, besides that. We are driving from Arkansas to Lincoln to watch the Huskers play Arkansas State!!!!!

VT and Mizzery dont have Shawn Watson either!!!

After seeing him play, I am excited. He played extre,ely well and I am glad that he is our QB!!!! In two years, Cody "the freak" Green can take the reins!
