Wow I was far off. I was going by all-time national title lists, while I didn't read the article closely enough to see they are only including 1936 and beyond. That's pretty genius we're in the top five. I still think ND will end up #1 because of national titles. We'll probably be 4 or 5. The rankings are already out on the wesbite: 1. OU 2. USC 3. ND 4. OSU 5. Nebraska

yeah, nebraska should do well in this list. I would expect notre dame will do very well though, although the last 25 years have been bad, they were really good every year. Although they will seriously suffer for not being in a conference. Unfortunaltey OU will be very high up there, higher than us for sure, they have more conference championships and national championships. A fact that will be hopefully remedied soon.

Man, I really hope everyone thinking nebraska is actually going to be BETTER next year is right. Personally I think we will take a step back because our offense will be so dry. Clearly our defense will be better, but I have to say...with an all new QB, and loosing all our star offensive players (except RB's), our offense will struggle. I would agree that a win there could put us back on the national stage. But I have a hard time believing we are really going to be that good. 2-3 years I my best guess.

My thoughts too, but instead of a 2 year qb, lets shoot for more consistency in a 4 year qb. Okay. Then let's start the kid that is most ready this year, RS Green, and prepare him to be a 4-year starter.. if he proves he earns the job. I would be okay with that. The only issue I see is that I can't imagine after having a QB for a year a coach (even bo almighty) would switch that position on a team when that QB isn't a senior.

I agree, I think we're gonna have a pretty average offense at best. All the key players we'll have are all brand new rookie players except Helu and Castille. That's going to be a huge problem. Hopefully they are able to get motivated and play hard, but also play smart.

My vote went to cody green. I think we need to build the program on 4 year quarterback. I don't want lee though. he'll be a JR, that only gives us 2 years. Not enough IMO. We need to pull a TO/Frazier and get green in there.

I'm curious to see who the husker nation really thinks should take the reigns of huskers in the next very critical year. I don't want to bias the vote, so I'll comment later on. There have been allot of threads on the subject, but not sure many polls have been done.
