  1. You need to work on your English composition. I wasn't talking about the content of the post. But I have zero clue what Eichorst said about Bo. I'm talking about the multiple instances of Bo losing his s#!t. The guy had zero composure. Or are you denying that there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Bo Pelini is a hot head?
  2. Can someone verify that I haven't stroked out? I probably re-read this paragraph 4 times and can't make sense of what is being said.
  3. Truth ISU's schedule has been f'ing brutal. Also, I think Ferentz deserves some credit. Iowa has also played a pretty brutal schedule. Our schedule was actually pretty brutal as well(or will be after we play Penn State)...but we've s#!t the bed versus very mediocre teams...
  4. A lot of people were. I'm not going to lie. I was blindly optimistic when they hired Riley. Mostly because I didn't know any better, and if you don't know any better, it's a lot easier to be hopeful than it is to be a debbie downer. But before they announced Mike Riley, I, and many others, felt like Scott Frost was our guy. And nothing has changed. There is still a subset of people who feel Scott still has something to prove, but quite respectfully, those people are freaking morons...
  5. *Still not favored in any remaining game I think if we would have beat NW, we would have been favored against MN, but, yeah... as others have pointed out, we haven't been favored to win a game since September...
  6. Unless you're firing him for reasons other than his results on the football field. Bo Pelini was an asshat and not the type of guy you want as the face of your football program. If he could have handled himself better off the field, then he never would have been canned. But he's an egotistical maniac and a f'ing clown. The only way people were going to ignore his behavior would be if he was winning championships, which he wasn't...
  7. You f'ing got me, bro. Good one! *high five*
  8. Having a .edu email address isn't anything special. I could register a .edu domain without being affiliated with any sort of educational institution. I'm skeptical, as many will be, that you're not just full of s#!t. His response doesn't sound like an email from a chancellor. It sounds like a message board response...
  9. "Hi, you've reached Scott Frost. Please leave your name and number, and I'll get back to you. If you are affiliated with Nebraska, call back in 4 weeks." *beep*
  10. Funnily enough, calling yourself humble means you're not humble... On top of that, if you want to take a thread that is so obviously satire and turn it into some sort of serious discussion... well that makes you a bit of a douche...
  11. And yet, he still was probably better than Riley. Marginally, at least...
  12. I have no idea how they gather those numbers, but if it's based off athletes academics, Nate Gerry probably screwed the pooch for us on that one...
  13. I'm sure he doesn't regret it at all. I want Mike Riley gone as much as the next guy, but firing him this instant does absolutely nothing. You can wait a few more weeks, buddy. Quit being a stereotypical millennial and have some patience...
  14. Come on man. Don't insult the guy like that. I know he was probably the worst hire Nebraska has seen, but he deserve better than this. PS: If you're wondering which one I'm referring to, that is the point...
  15. Taking the fall for them? They're his staff. He's 65. Unless the dude has some sort of severe gambling problem, he's not taking any sort of fall. He's ending his career on the same note that he carried through most of it. It's not like losing football games is something new to him. I'm sure he'll be alright.
  16. There is no point either way, so honestly, no reason to fire him now. What difference does it make, other than give us something to talk about. Let's just hope that Scott Frost wants the job when this is all said and done.
  17. It's kind of a hindsight letter, even then. The problem is that the issues Riley had in his first season still exist today. All the letter does is outline all the issues Riley had in his first season. And in year 3, he hasn't fixed any of them.
  18. Using actual statistics, it's more likely that NU doesn't make a bowl. So using real stats, the outcomes are 1-3 : 43% 2-2: 28% 0-4: 22% 3-1: 7% 4-0: <1% Adding the bowl game scenarios in at this point can't be predicted using stats. Food for thought.
  19. Iowa state lost a few recruits when Paul Rhoads got fired. Maybe it's more important to get a good coach than it is to save a few recruits. Just a thought.
  20. First thing you do is you have to get the ball rolling on being considered the nicest fan base in college football. It's real easy to be a nice fan base when you're good. Make sure to hang up a bunch of signs indicating how good your fans are in Jack Trice. Now when opposing fans come to town, be overly nice to them. Like damn near creepy nice. Go way the hell out of your way to make sure they brag about how great Ames is when they leave. Treat them better than you treat the Cyclone fan tailgating next to you. Free beers, front of the line to the pisser, cut in line to bars downtown, etc. Make sure you dedicate your entire weekend to this. The night before, make sure you identify as many members of the opposing fan base as possible and wish them good luck. But don't just wish them luck, keep pouring on that generosity. Pick up their tab, if you have to. Also, if they run into any Cyclone fans that aren't on the same page as you, make sure put that person in their place. They must have not got the memo that s#!t-talking is out, and it's all about killing the opponents with kindness. After the game, continue the story. If Cyclones win, make sure you talk about how it was a good game, and you hope their enjoying Ames and if they need a ride-home that night, you're ready to pick them up. If the Cyclones should lose, do the same thing, except talk about how impressed you were with their team, etc. We didn't realize it before Mike Riley was our coach, but this is actually called the Mike Riley treatment. Because as much as everyone wants to hate you. As much as people wish that they could justify pointing out how big of nobody you are, they can't because you're just too nice. And this is the ultimate secret to being successful at gloating. PS: None of this applies to Iowa. Those people have superiority complexes and quite honestly, no matter how nice you are to them, every conversation you have with them will be an argument in which they argue with themselves by pointing out all the reasons it's ok to be mediocre. Good luck with your gloating. Next time I'm near Ames, I better see at least 4 or 5 references to how great your fans are.
