  1. Just posting for good luck. Had to get his profile replies off the devil's number.
  2. The problem Luginbill isn't looking at is the fact that this is a small class. That makes a difference in ratings. He should do his homework before just spouting off.
  3. Comparisons?....Meh. Just please tell me he will qualify!!!!
  4. Let's hope we can beat our 1 tough OOC team for the first time in 5 years, and then let's hope we can get away from having a mid-year letdown. I think we have seen Bo doesn't let up and pushes to end the year better than started, but these two points I make are the ones that keep sticking in my head. Will we finish seasons off hard and a team as good as any in the country, sure, we have proven this, but can we get that first tough game win and dodge the mid-season letdown? That's where we need to wait and see.
  5. That is a hat made by "The Game" and I'm pretty sure they are known for making alot of bar hats. That I know of they only made them with white hats and the bars and letters of the school were the other color of the team.
  6. I like the best passing defense in FBS. Eastern Michigan! Question: They have a sic secondary, or their run defense is horrible? I would go with the latter since they are ranked last in that category. Another reason stats don't always tell the whole story. Oh, and by the way, Eastern Michigan went 0-12 this year. That's why the best way to determine a good defense is scoring defense!
  7. Just think how much better a team we would be with Robert Sallie!!!!!! Kind of makes you sick knowing he wanted to come here, but admissions f*&^ed up.
  8. One good reason to go this year though is the bargaining agreement that will need to be redone next year. That is going to change alot and also there will probably be a lockout. But if and when something does get worked out, the signing bonuses and rookie contracts are going to change alot I think(worse for rookies), so he may make more money going late in second round this year than he will in first round next year.
  9. And how do you know this? I also want to know how you would know he'd rather live other places?? Oh, I get it. Finally, the salt water aquarium guy reveals his identity.
  10. I think if TO goes with, it will be a done deal. Father figure for sure!!
  11. If I was a team like the Rams or Chiefs or any other bottom feeder I would trade down if I could. Teams like this need more help than just one guy and could use as many picks in the draft as they can get. If I was a borderline team like say Houston, Atlanta, Bears(Oh God please), San Fran, Miami I would look to move up to get him. It would depend on alot of other factors with how the team is set at QB, RB, WR, and other spots. I just really think the right team could move up to get him and he might immediately next year make them a guaranteed playoff team. I will punish myself after saying this, but one team I think that would use him the best would be the Pats (oh man, that hurt to say). Here's my own punishment.
  12. 1. Eric Hagg will play FS ...IMO 2. You have Andrew Green as the back-up CB is Prince...which I agree...but then you dont have him as a nickel, dime or the 7th back position...if he is our 3/4 best corner don't you think he will be our Dime or 7th back... this is what i think CB- Dennard, Prince S- Hagg, Smith Nickel- Gomes Dime- Blue-Green, West 7th- Whoever is behind the Dime back... just my thoughts West better not be anywhere near the field unless everyone is hurt. I also think you take Hagg and put him in a safety position where he isn't matched up on a receiver so often. Unless he gets better, his coverage was not very good this year, but his run stopping talent is hard to find so I'm not sure what to do with him. Just hope his cover skills get better which they should with another offseason in the system. I'm excited to see Andrew Green and see what he can do also.
  13. Not sure how I missed this and how the hell I never heard about it, but when were the original Blackshirts handed out this year?? I don't remember reading anything about them being handed out to anyone. I was under the impression that nobody had one yet and I was getting a little disappointed since Suh obviously was deserving. Any info, and a slap along side my head, would be appreciated. Thanks.
  14. Must have different rules in Ohio. If that happens in Nebraska the play is blown dead immediately.
  15. I know the team tix are in the white, but why are they all in the endzone??? Just seems weird to me. Usually put teams on opposite sides of field up and down sidelines and put others in endzones.
  16. Look at this BS!! Look at where the team tickets are for the bowl. I am sick of going to these Bowl games, getting my tickets through the University, and getting the crap seats. I don't understand why these places hosting these games don't give the teams better tickets. I mean, these are the people that are going to be bringing new money into your stadium and spending alot of it. I just don't get it. http://www.holidaybowl.com/images/stories/...s/hb_map_09.jpg
  17. You're only 2 months late. http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.ph...c=37980&hl=
  18. Is this way off? I hope this isn't the case. We need all the help we can get on the O-line. I'm not a health expert, but I do know what was going on with him, so I wouldn't have high expectations for him to play if he's even on the team still. That'd be great if he really does though. O.K., I'll bite. So, since you know, what was going on with him. Don't just say you know and not tell. If you are not his doctor, or a secretary or personnel in the office of his doctor, his insurance guy, or his aquarium cleaner, then you cannot get in trouble for telling, so please do.
  19. Agreed. If you're talking about stuffed pizza, then yes, but if you're talking about NY style vs. Chicago deep dish, no way. Skerchicago, if you haven't ever eaten at Connie's, go to the one on Archer, it's great. Also, get their big sampler appetizer to get things started, it's good too. Connie's has some other places on Navy Pier and McCormick place in Chicago, and out in the burbs, but I have only eaten at the one on Archer, so can't say if they are the same. But, just take a trip down to Archer, near chinatown, and give it a try. Make sure to get the deep dish style. http://www.conniespizza.com/ Here's a little blurb from their website. "Over the last 45 years, our team has built the Connie’s Pizza brand into an experience synonymous with quality and service. From the official pizza of the Chicago White Sox, Wrigley Field, the Chicago Fire, and The Taste of Chicago, to having its pizza sold at Subway restaurants and both Disney parks, Connie’s Pizza is a Chicago brand that continues to grow. You can find the brand at eight Chicagoland restaurants, retail grocery stores in five states, 1200 Sodexho-managed hospital accounts, and several national theatre chains just to start. We have developed long-term relationships with many of the best-known foodservice operators including Levy Restaurants and Chicago Restaurant Partners, Marriott Hotels and Foodservice, Sheraton Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Sportservice/Delaware North, Eurest (Compass) Services, and the University of Chicago. With many other prominent partners, the Connie’s Pizza brand has become a Chicago Tradition. Our restaurants have become an icon for visitors to Chicago, as we have a restaurant at the City’s most-visited venue, Navy Pier, and Chicago’s convention center, McCormick Place. In addition you can find our brand at full-service restaurants in Chicago (Bridgeport), Westmont, Naperville, and Orland Park, and fast-casual Pazzini restaurants in Algonquin and the Merchandise Mart." Also Ranalli's has pretty good pizza, pan style. The one I have been to was on Clark, but it sounds like they have moved to Lincoln Ave. now. http://www.ranallisonclark.com/ Also, Heard is coming to Nebraska. Mark it up!!!
  20. He's from Cali. Huh? That's not how we dress. Maybe if he was wearing board shorts and Rainbow flip-flops..... true. Ha! I love coming back to the board after a hour or so and seeing this type of stuff. I just assumed you Cali folk invented those dang things..... Just joking man....i have a couple v-necks...yeah that's right, i do. I live in Chicago. If you walk around Lincoln Park in a crew neck you get shot. OK, I'm missing your joke I think. I lived in Chicago, in Lincoln Park, for 4 years. I wore crew neck t-shirts all the time and never got shot. Now, if you wore crew necks, instead of v-necks, North of Lakeview around Uptown you might get bitch slapped. I'm actually dead right now b/c I wore a V-neck again last night while going to a grocery store at Dickens and Clyborne. Some mom pulled a 6 shooter from her stroller and shot me right where the neck line hits the apex of the V. I died right there next to the frozen pizzas. Just to be safe . Hey man, can you go to Connie's on Archer and get me a large deep dish pizza, put it in a warmer and get it to me back here in Nebraska. That is the best pizza still to this day I have ever eaten. I know alot of people like that stuffed pizza they make in chicago, but I love a deep dish pan anyday, and Connie's is DEEP and loaded with toppings and cheese. I'm not sure why it tastes different than others deep dishes I've eaten, but it is. I tried to figure it out, and I came up with the pizza sauce they use. I'm not sure if it's something they buy, but my guess is they make it themselves(I think I remember seeing cans of it decorating the restaurant). Either way, best Pizza I have ever eaten, and I've eaten at alot of famous Pizza places around the country.
  21. Ya, I had heard he may be back next year too. They have talked about it on 1620thezone before. Severe is a big fan of Burkes and he has made it sound like he may be back next year more than once.
  22. I doubt Mangino comes here. He doesn't fit in with the rest of the coaching staff (you know, lean and fit). But seriously, I really think the dude needs to take at least a year off and get his health under control. I promise you right now if he doesn't lose alot of weight and get healthy and find another way besides eating to cope for stress he will be dead sooner than later. He almost is assured of having Type II Diabetes, and in that case it only takes one good infection and the end may come quickly.
  23. Any word on what ever happened with him? If this is true, that's too bad. I think he would have been playing on Sundays.
