  1. From what I gather it was a mutual decision. We were making the offensive change and Gabbert was apprised. He decided that where we're going wasn't his direction, and made it official, but we knew what we were doing when we made the decision on direction.
  2. Agreed. He's a great player on a flawed team. The good and the bad, all in one season.
  3. -1 Internets for Casey. But welcome to the board. This is a pretty fun place, and for my money the best Husker board on the web. Make yourself at home.

Yeah, it's not annoying, it's just kind of funny. Just one of the quirks that makes Huskerboard unique.
  5. Congratulations on your pending graduation, Epoc. You know you don't get to just waltz out of here just because you're graduating. We expect you to be here chatting even more now that you don't have schoolwork bogging you down.
  6. This and this. Sadly, it's not time for a defensive player to win the Heisman. Maybe when Crick is a senior.
  7. FIRST TEAM T Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska Buzz: A finalist and probably the favorite for all the major defensive awards, Suh has a shot at the Heisman, too. He has posted an amazing 82 tackles, with 12 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 11 passes defended. He blocked three kicks, too. CB Prince Amukamara, Nebraska Buzz: He ranks 11th in the nation with 16 passes defended. That includes five interceptions. He also has made 61 tackles. SS Larry Asante, Nebraska Buzz: Well-known as a punishing hitter, Asante has posted 76 tackles and forced two fumbles. He also has two interceptions. K Alex Henery, Nebraska Buzz: Henery has made 20-of-24 field-goal attempts, including eight from at least 40 yards. His longest is a 52-yarder. Three of his misses were from at least 50 yards. SECOND TEAM RB Roy Helu, Nebraska T Jared Crick, Nebraska Crick ought to be First Team next year, and if Helu gets a healthy line in front of him he could challenge for First Team, too.
  8. Judging by the depth we have at CB and the lack of depth we have at WR, you'd think they'd at least give him a look.

OK. That happens to me, too, I just don't go back and hit the button again. I figure it'll show up eventually.

How do these duplicate posts happen? I've never had one. Am I the guy doing something wrong? Also, depending on the new software (whenever the update comes) there may be an option of deleting your post in an edit, as long as someone hasn't posted after you. That option is available on many other boards I'm on. Speaking of the update, is it just an update of the Invision board, or are you guys switching to something else, like phpBB?
  11. I wanted to share this. It's from a buddy on another site, an ardent Florida fan. To give you an idea where his loyalties lie, here are his sig/av: And here is what he had to say about Suh:
  12. Sometimes players emerge during the season. Gerhart wasn't being pimped by Stanford until late October, and I don't really recall much of a campaign from them, either. Nebraska is not at fault for not promoting Suh. If anyone is at fault it is the people who should know football so they have a vote, but who do not know football well enough to grasp how transcendent Suh is. Let's lay what blame there might be in the right spot, shall we?
  13. No. Those ridiculous, crass promotional campaigns are for programs with far less dignitas than Nebraska. They made a website for Suh. It contained his info, and it wasn't hard to find. Anyone who wanted to educate themselves enough to make an informed decision didn't have to search long before they voted.
  14. Before implying something as foolish as our fans "whining, bitching, complaining, demanding" more than Florida State fans, did you take time to go read any Florida State message boards to gauge their behavior? I'm betting you didn't.
  15. You gotta read this. Funny stuff, and true, about Texas' nearly fatal blunder on that pass play. Linkorama
  16. New here, just curious...and not harping on the OP, but do the mods merge threads here? Depends. Sometimes they just lock them. But eventually the place gets tidied up.
  17. I really enjoyed this crew for the Missouri game. I walked in expecting to dislike them entirely (except for Erin Andrews - I'm kinda sweet on her), but they did a nice, respectful job for us. Even Craig James, who spent a lot of time going out of his way to bash us in the early 2000's, was very complimentary of our team. I'm very pleased with this crew.
  18. Yes, he did. Tebow is occupying Spiller's seat at that ceremony.
  19. Why would he make a lateral move like that? That doesn't make a lot of sense.
  20. The kind that scores points That's my favorite offense!
  21. How the hell do you know that? It jives with what I heard tonight, if that helps.
  22. Wow. I had no idea it was that dramatic. Thanks for compiling those numbers, and great first post!
  23. Is that possible?? Actually, no. I'm significantly larger than most feathers.
