I think it was a stand up move on Pelini's part. I think he is defending his players and he truly knows how everybody wants this thing to turn around and to not have all the weight on the players shoulders.

Watch some games again. Alot of their timing is off and many times the o-linemen totally miss their block. This has nothing to do with getting beat physically. They are just missing their blocks. exactly, not much else to say, they are just flat out not picking up their reads. I see alot of checking going on at the line of scrimmage, all it takes is for one of them to not pick up the audible and have ganz and lucky get smashed, or they jump offsides

Iowa State hasn't won a game on the road since...hell...since before the invention of the road! It's been so long since they last won that they didn't even call it a road game...they called it an Oregon Trail game. Last time my Cyclone football team won an away game it was against the Donner Party... Don't ask what they ate for the post-game meal... Not to mention that if you told half the players here they are playing Baylor on Saturday they would show up at the local farm implement dealer if left to their own devices... always got to keep us Iowa boys down

Ironically I have been a Cub fan since 1960. With them I have waited, unrewarded, for 48 years (and counting). I guess that makes me appreciate being a Husker fan too! I have seen 5 national Championships at NU and that was awesome. But, yes. for the Huskers wait till next.... century. Ouch

Fair, but who would you chose? Lucky- Good out the backfield, good hands, gets up field ( when he catches it) Helu- Strong burst into the line, doesn't dance, finds the first opening and dashes for it. Castille- Strong Back, can't get a good enough read since he has only done short yard stuff. Say what you want, I do believe Lucky does deserve to be out there, they guy was a work horse last year, and deserves to go out there and play hard his senior year. The rotation would work, if the lineman could hold blocks for more than a second.

Agreed, ISU is young and dangerous, they always get up to play the huskers at home. For a win against the Huskers is a step ahead for this young program. Like i have said before Iowa is the CYCLONE STATE.
