  1. Sorry but i think there were a few times Bos teams fought back to get a victory. You want to talk about teams folding, you need to look to the callahan years.
  2. I stopped watching for a while but now im back in with 4 to go.
  3. What the f**k is it with USC and front flips into the endzone on nebraska.

I don't recall this from 2006/2007 but I try to block these years out.

He went almost as crazy as some of the BOlievers went when Riley was hired. Talk about nailing crazy....

  6. Thankyou to everyone who posted about the dog situation. The decision was pretty much taken away from me. Iowa humane society called me and informed me that the dog needed to be quarantined for 14 days to be sure about rabies. They gave us the chose between one of there shelters and the shelter where we got him from. We had to tell the kids and eventhough they were upset we decided to surrender him back to the place where we got him.

We probably will try again but i think were going to wait until after the holidays. Let things settle down a bit. The kids understand more, hell i think my wife was the most upset. She had bonded pretty well with the dog and it broke her heart he bit her.

Wise decision. Merry Christmas and thanks for at least trying to adopt a dog. I know there are many more where that one came from. God bless your wife and family during this Christmas season.

  7. Anyone have any experience with dogs. We picked up a dog from the Humane Society 3 days ago and today it bit my wife. It has been snarling alittle at my children. Some people say that training will fix this but im not so sure. As my wife is headed to the ER to get a rabies shot im asking you if this is a dog i should keep around and give another chance or send it down the road. No im not stupid but im trying to understand if the dog felt threatened and lashed out.

BRPW, I think if you explain to your kids why you're taking the dog back, I think they'll understand.

Take it in for a rabies test first to see if it is infected. Your wife will not have to have rabies shots if the dog is not infected. Then take it back to the shelter. I agree that it sounds like this dog has been abused-poor thing. :(

NUance that's not what I'm talking about. Of course I agree that Wagon shouldn't keep the dog.

  8. This was my first game, got all misty eyed at the end. Kinda one of those things you could clear off your bucket list and it was a perfect end to a perfect day.
  9. Sure like sipple should be really pissed he has another bo pelini snippet to stand up on his soap box for.
  10. Just listened to the whole audio. This honestly just sounded like a guy talking to his players about what went down. Sure there was some foul language but he wasnt ranting and raving. He was talking calmly and explaining things to them. Not in any way how i thought it was going to sound.
  11. "Stature"? You are confusing "acceptable" with "understandable". Either that, or you are intentionally switching the two in order to knock down a straw man of your own creation. It isn't acceptable to use profanity at any time. That being said, it is understandable that people use unacceptable profanity when: "They are as mad as H*ll" "You scare the sh*t out of them" "They are having a 'WTF' moment" I heard my Great Aunt swear only one time, when she was watching Robb Schnitzler return his one and only punt that year 70 yards for a touchdown (does this date me?), telling him "Run, you sonofa...!" Unacceptable, but understandable... Now, for those of you who are bound and determined to be outraged, you go right ahead. This is America, you have that right. No, I am not. It is not understandable to use language of that type consistently to young men. It not understandable to ever use those words in a setting where you are to be a role model. It is not understandable, for a rational person, to act so much out of anger 2 days after this person was wronged. None of this is understandable. It is, however, unacceptable. Unless, of course, you are a toddler. Then it would be understandable, because you wouldn't know any better. Pelini had the charge of being a role model to 120 young men and 3.1 million reasons to know better. I am sorry you don't understand the definition of understandable and unacceptable. Furthermore, the fact you think any reasonably educated person could confuse those two things either is a terrible attempt at an insult or proves you are not the aforementioned type of person. edit: You accuse me of a straw man argument, then bring up an isolated incident of a seemingly innocent person slipping up with a swear word. That is, of course, the same as a man who uses this as commonplace in his everyday vernacular. We are still talking about football coaches right.

Yes, smart reasonable people on one side and stupid Bo defenders on the other. Thought they would go the way of the dodo but no dice. Still providing written proof of their idiocy.

    3. walksalone

      walksalone

only idiocy I see is the fact that you're upset over a guy who isn't the coach anymore...

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

I just don't understand why people are defending his actions. I am dumfounded that peoplease feel the need to do that. I would much rather forget he was ever our coach but the defenders are sucking me in.

  13. Tell him Connor Cook is staying so maybe he like to get the chance to put him to the turf again.
  14. I think this is a good point. Do you honestly think people are kicking down the door to go play at Minniesota. Have you been to minnesota, do you know how much snow they get up there, how cold it can be. No its not a regional thing its an attitude thing.
  15. Connor Cook to come back for his Senior season at Michogan St.............................F***

I'm not concerned over Cook. in 2013, he made a handful of TomBradyish throws. last year he was pretty meh agaisnt us, aside from one blown coverage by us. Our defense did what it had to do to win in East Lansing that night. Exactly what it had to do. Held Spart under 30. and aside from 3 really bad defensiive scoring plays, we played pretty darn good defensively.

    3. NUance

      NUance

Cook is talented, despite the lack of stats against us the past couple of meetings. His legs mask a lot of weaknesses in Sparty's offense.

    4. swmohusker

      swmohusker

If our pass defense takes a step back, which I expect it to next year then this is a major concern. Cook can carve you up. (Run defense will improve, pass defense will decline with new scheme)
