  1. When your entire linebacker corps needs an overhaul like ours does, well, there's certainly an opportunity for guys to play right away...
  2. @BIG ERN 247 and Rivals both show him visiting this weekend, FWIW.
  3. Oklahoma will probably join the Big Ten once the Big 12's grant of rights expires in mid-2025, so this schedule is subject to change.
  4. Looks like we have more wristband sightings, second pic!
  5. Makes you wonder how Devaney would've handled it if he'd still been at Wyoming, or if something similar happened at Nebraska...
  6. @ArkanSkers Google cache of the page shows he previously had one CB for BC, so Arizona is the one that was just added.
  7. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/fifty-years-after-the-black-14-were-banished-wyoming-football-reckons-with-the-past/2019/11/30/fb7e9286-e93d-11e9-9c6d-436a0df4f31d_story.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab There's a couple Husker connections to this story. Lloyd Eaton, the Wyoming head coach responsible, was Bob Devaney's DL coach, who took over as HC at Wyoming when Devaney left for Nebraska. And of course, Wyoming's current HC, Craig Bohl, is also a former Husker.
  8. Part of me wishes Minnesota had gotten in, just to have a different matchup.
  9. The play where we fired Mike Riley.
  10. After he led the team to its worst season in decades, I should freaking hope he did! If he'd recognized it a year or two sooner, he might still have a job here today...
  11. He definitely seems to have the raw tools to be a good pass rusher, at least, and we need that. You almost wonder if he'd be better of staying as a 4-3 DE, though. Since he's a 4-for-3 guy, I assume we'll redshirt him so that he can learn LB duties? Not an exciting recruit, but an interesting one, at least.
  12. Crediting Ozigbo's recruiting is a little weird. He was actually recruited by Charlton Warren, during the few months he worked on Riley's staff. So basically, he was recruited by one of Pelini's assistants, during the Riley era. Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind hearing Warren's inner thoughts on his time working with those two coaches, like what his impression of Riley and the way he was going to run the program was like, vs what Bo did.
  13. By three points, 42-45. I still wonder if having a head coach and the team not going through all that hoopla at the time would've been worth 3+ points in that game... Matt Davison was pretty pro-Pelini, I imagine Frost's feelings are similar.
  14. And this is true for a lot of kickers coming out of high school, too. Guys going for the block are bigger, faster, and jump higher than in HS, so they have to learn to kick higher.
  15. Kanawai Noa was a grad transfer, so he's done for his career, too.
  16. You know, there's another team that in hindsight obviously didn't belong in the preseason top 25: Syracuse. They were #21, but in week two, they got blasted 63-20. By Maryland.
  17. I think that's probably the #1 reason we used McCaffrey so much: to give Iowa even more that they have to try and prepare for over the short week.
  18. There's a trophy for this game?! Why?
  19. Just checking the average recruit rating of the starting LBs for those three teams, Iowa's are .8412, Minnesota's are .8472, and Wisconsin's are .8584. So Colin Miller would be the only one on @CalhounHusker's list that even meets the lowest of those three averages.
