  1. One comment I saw on Volnation, regarding Phil Fulmer's influence on the program: "Barry Alvarez may be a-hole, but he knows what's best for Wisconsin and he makes the right choices. Maybe you think Phil has made some dick moves, but I guarantee he's only trying to make the program better."
  2. Does anyone read Off Tackle Empire much? That's SB Nation's Big Ten blog. I never really looked at it, but I do read Corn Nation (their Husker site) sometimes.
  3. This is all I see from today, only shows the pinned tweet at the very top: https://screenshots.firefox.com/sjAiXQhL9QuafPMF/twitter.com
  4. Are you talking about the article, or about Lars Anderson? Because the tweet was written by Anderson, who works for Bleacher Report, not Land of 10, and the article was written by Jack Baer. Of course, an 'article' that's really little more than a retweet is not exactly a shining journalistic achievement.
  5. Uhh... they already brought back the script logo a couple years ago, and scrapped the one with the curved block lettering that looked like the logos of a dozen other schools. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=210723923 Here's all the current official UNL logos/branding: http://www.huskers.com/pdf9/4509608.pdf?&DB_OEM_ID=100
  6. Not all of their fans are. Here's what one had to say about Lars Anderson's tweets posted above:
  7. @Huskinator Hmm, on the main web page, at least, all I see is the one pinned at the top.
  8. Did he actually retweet it again, or are you just seeing the one that he's had pinned at the top of his page for quite a while?
  9. Yes, that's definitely a job for this week. That's not something that could possibly have been going through your head all season, or even for the past three seasons. Clearly, it's not something that will be on your mind all through the off-season. It's definitely an 'in the next week' kind of job. You know, something that has to be finished before the week after it. Not that anything in particular will happen that week, of course. Why would anyone assign any particular significance to that timeframe? Foreman certainly didn't.
  10. Currie was K-State's AD until earlier this year. Probably his biggest accomplishment there was chasing Frank Martin away.
  11. I remember visiting a Wisconsin board after the game, and even they were arguing over whether it was a clean hit or not (I say it was).
  12. @Crazyhole Now I'm imagining what Diaco's interviews would be like if he were on cocaine. Then again, maybe he was...
  13. If anyone wants to hear Davison's feelings, here's the archive of the Iowa game. Start at maybe 2:54, late 3rd quarter, Nebraska comes up short on 4th, followed shortly by Fant's long TD where he dives into the endzone. He pretty much goes on at any opportunity the rest of the game.
  14. Hey, at least we didn't give anything away in the spring game!
  15. I'll see your Matt Davison's reaction to Alex Henery's kick and raise you Matt Davison's reaction to Kellogg & Westerkamp's Hail Mary!
  16. Let's not forget that said QB was their head coach's son!
  17. @FearAmeer One, he's an NFL guy, and I'm pretty sure we've had enough 'pro-style' around here. Two, he was apparently a huge voice in Banker getting the axe (for better or worse). Three, he was a buddy of Riley from when they were both with the San Diego Chargers.
  18. I'm alright with having someone in the position, but how about we go with someone who's not an NFL guy?
  19. I must congratulate Currie for making Tennessee a full-on dumpster fire yesterday.
